In Italy, The Arma dei Carabinieri (CC) was an organized and well–trained carabineer that adopted
anti–guerrilla training, which created a specialized anti–terrorist unit. Regrettably, due to the
political favoritism faced during this time period, the CC received minimal responsibilities. Between
the years of 1969 and 1982, Italy suffered 4,362 political violence attacks and 6,153 unclaimed
bombings against property throughout the state killing at least 351 and injuring 768. It took the

power to influence policy all over Europe. They were able to enforce and implement their liberal
reforms, such as liberalization of the economy and equality before the law which would later inspire

Nazism in America Probably one of the most infamous political groups in history were the Nazis, a
party created and lead by Hitler, an equally awful man. The Nazi party was based in Germany, and
many Germans had fallen prey to their deception through their immoral methods, but it was a true

The religious division between Catholics and Protestants in the German states was a quite important
obstacle for unification between 1815 and 1850. However, this was not the only thing that prevented
German Unification. German States were also divided because the rivalry between the two most
powerful states, Prussia and Austria, and the Bund was specifically set in place to prevent
unification. The fact that many people, such as the royals of each state and the working class, either
didn't want or care about a unified Germany which meant only a minority were really for

Between 1815 and 1850 it was only the minority of people who really wanted to see a unified
Germany. The Princes of each of the states were only interested in keeping their own power and
wealth and they would lose all of this if the States united. This was also one of the main reasons
why the Frankfurt parliament and the 1848 revolutions failed after Frederic Wilhelm IV turned
down the Crown to Germany without the support of his fellow princes which inevitably wasn't
going to come. The working class also didn't care too much for unification either. Farmers and city

Personal Narrative I exited out of the train, feeling the summer heat wrapping around me. The
number of people was a real sight to see as I walked toward the exit. A train whooshed passed us,
filling the station with a deafening noise. It was like an entire stadium cheering after their team won
the World Cup. Letters that were giant and had an expressive red color that read "SHANGHAI
HONGQIAO TRAIN STATION" were on top of the station. I got on the escalator to go down to
head for the exit. As soon as I got down, a foul smell came over me. My dad, sister, and I passed
through the gates to find our uncle waiting on the other side. He was a fit person that had black and
white wispy hair.
We walked to the parking lot where my uncle's classmate stood. He was a tall figure with spiky hair
and a nice smile. We got into his Toyota Landcruiser where we put our luggage into the back. As we

Shanghai offers an eclectic range of scenes including but not limited to those with large influences
from western cultures. The Bund has become the most iconic feature of the city that fits this

Currently, its peculiar architecture entices tourists from all over the world for sightseeing, shopping,

When I was 10 years old, my mom and I went to Shanghai for a month and a half. Shanghai was
very entertaining, it was very different from America in some ways, yet it also was in some ways
very similar to America. Surprisingly, the most popular restaurant in Shanghai is actually KFC. The
most popular part of Shanghai is on the other side of the river from all the buildings, known as "The
Bund". The view from the riverside was an amazing view, so everybody went there to see the
skyline and take pictures. The metro station to go to the riverside was about 3 blocks away from the

There are different types of terraces as follows:
✓ Bench terracing: It consists of transforming relatively steeps land into a series of level or nearly
level strips or steeps running across the slope. The soil materials that are excavated from the upper
part of the terrace is used in filling the lower part and a small bund is also raised along the outer
edge of the terrace to check the downward flow of rainwater and also soil erosion. ✓ Channel
terrace: It consists of making of wide but shallow channels across the slope of the land either exactly
on contour line or with a slight grade (0.1 to 0.2 per cent). In this process, the excavated soil is
placed along the lower edge of the channel in the form of low ridge. ✓ Narrow based terrace: It
consists of making a number of narrow based ridges or bunds at a distance of 1m to 2m across the
slope of the land at suitable intervals in high rainfall areas. ✓ Broad based ridge terrace: It consists
of making wide but low bunds on the contour lines by excavating soils from both sides of terrace.
