2. I have considered this font for the title of my
short film. It is a clear and basic typography
which leaves a sense of enigma as it doesn’t
give much away. This would be an ideal font
to use for my film poster as it would not
overcome the focal image and so the focal
image would stand out more than the title
(although the title will be visible to the
audience).
3. This font has more of a scary tone than the
previous typography; the blurring of the letters
may connote a sinister theme and possibly
blood. Although my short film is not of the
horror genre, it includes themes of stress and
anxiety and involves a suicide and therefore
this typography will be suitable for my short
film. Moreover, it connotes that my short film
doesn’t end well and that it is trying to convey
a meaningful and serious message across (on
arranged marriages) as it is based on social
realism.
4. I am also considering this typography for my
short film. This typography is big and bold which
will make it stand out and possibly be the first
thing that the audience see. The rigid formality
of the font resembles and connotes Sofia’s life
and how she feels trapped and almost
imprisoned, pressured in to doing something she
doesn’t want to do. Furthermore, the typography
will mostly be found in action movies that
involve crime and prison due to the structure of
it. As Sofia is being forced in to agreeing to
something she doesn’t want, the typography
connotes her misery and the idea that Sofia feels
imprisoned.
5. I am very fond of this typography and would
like to use it for the title of my short film. I
believe that it gives a sense of enigma and
doesn’t give much away which is what I am
aiming for. The ‘droppings’ from the text
connote blood, pain and agony which are the
linked to the themes of my short film.
