1. WHAT KIND OF INSTITUTION
MIGHT DISTRIBUTE YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT & WHY?
2. Institutions
• For our opening sequence we choseWarner Brothers
pictures as out company. We chose this particular
company as its one if the biggest and well know
institution the film industry. I particularly wanted to go
with hammer productions as they specialise in horror
and thriller movies, one of their most newest and
popular productions in the women in black and the
women in black 2. I believe that they would have
known how to promote our film to the right audience
which is something that the bigger companies might
not be able to do as they don't focus on just one genre,
they aren't genre committed as hammer productions
and smaller companies. However I do belive that
promotion withWarner brothers and the other big
companies will be better then the smaller ones as they
will now how to promote it to gain more of an audience
of people who won't particular normally watch movies
from a certain genre. They'll also put a whole lot media
attention to it and raise the public excitement for it.

• The bigger production companies will have a bigger
budget than the smaller production companies they'll
be able to provide better and a wider range of supplies
to insure that the movie is up to the best standard,
they'll be able to perfect the codes and conventions/
elements. They'll have the best skilled people working
for them in post production which means that the
editing will be done faultless. They'll also be able to
promote movies in larger scale,
4. Production
company
• For our production company that we designed, we
were inspired by hammer productions, this was
because they specialise in the thriller/ horror genes.
The name of our company is called chiller production,
as you can see from the image we tried to incorporate
the the thriller/horror elements into it, the typography
looks as if it's blood, it's red which also represents
blood, however the negative about this logo/ design is
that it looks like it's more associated to the horror
genre rather the thriller, if we were to change this we
would go for something simple but bold, in the similar
formate of it being red on a black background.
