2. WHAT DOES A PRODUCTION COMPANY
DO?
Essentially a production company helps to create the movie.
They help with the budgeting and the casting of the film.
They are normally in control of finding a director and majority
of the cast.
If anything goes wrong they should be held responsible. For
example, if one of the actors gets hurt.
3. THE PRODUCTION COMPANY LOGOS YOU
HAVE CHOSEN AND OR CREATED AND
WHY?
The production company that my group and I created is called
‘Lighthouse Productions’. We decided to call it lighthouse
productions because it sounds good and lighthouses shine
light and guide boats, and we want to guide people to see
good films so a lighthouse seemed fitting.
Above is two pictures of our final ident. We used lights moving
across the screen to resemble the lights from a lighthouse
and then our production company name flows in.
4. WHAT DOES A DISTRIBUTOR DO?
A distributor basically dispatches the film into cinemas for the
audiences to see it.
They decide when and where the film will be showed and at
what time. They will also promote it. The distributor also
decides how many copies of the film they will make.
5. WHY YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE
DISTRIBUTION COMPANY YOU HAVE TO
RELEASE YOUR FIOM
I chose Revolver Entertainment as they are a low budgeted
company which made it easy for us because they specialize in
low budget films and know the best ways in which getting
them out into cinemas.
6. HOW MIGHT YOUR FILM HAVE BEEN
FUNDED
We used BFI (British Film Institution) because they give money
to low budget films and would help us to budget the film
without any dif ficulty.
