1. Assign a variety of different types of homework assignments to students on a
consistent basis to make learning experiences interesting and unique
2. Develop classroom website for parents and students to be able to acquire
classroom news and assignments outside of school.
3. Develop a system for communicating with parents on a weekly basis
electronically.
4. Create curriculum notebooks. Keep a record of lessons/units and put together
notebooks for each of the major themes in curriculum notebooks.
5. Keep up with transposing grade book grading onto the online server instead of
bulk inputting.
6. Find more ways to incorporate a variety of forms of literature and writing
components across the curriculum.
7. Utilizing student free periods such as lunch and study hall to engage in
conversations with students to help facilitate their oral language vocabulary and
communication skills.
8. Find ways to get students to really enjoy reading and develop a true desire to
read.
9. Improve formative assessment techniques and keep detailed records of this
information in student portfolios.
10. Increase parent involvement and participation in the classroom and school
setting.
