 Iron Man is a very famous character and is famously
associated with sci-fi
 Uses puns such as ‘The Dork Knight’ on magazine cover –
makes magazine cover more interesting
 Marvel – very popular company – featured on the magazine,
find more info about other Marvel characters – draw people
to the magazine
 Iron Man’s eyes and hand are glowing blue – hinting at sci-fi
genre and also his powers
 Slight variety of fonts and stick to a colour scheme of white
and brown for the fonts

 Larger variety of fonts – sticks to a colour scheme of white

 Mast head is written in blue and looks quite metallic and rusty
– also hints at sci-fi genre
 All 4 characters have the ‘gaze’
 Feature other films at the bottom but they are not advertising
other sci-fi films which is not typical of a magazine cover to do
 Quite a small variety of fonts used on the cover and they also
have stuck to a colour scheme of white and a faded gold colour

sci-fi genre

futuristic

 Main character is not looking at audience – could suggest that
