Why Test Coupon Material Specification?
Material Specification is required before WQT.
Based on material specification only we can approve the
Filler Fire / Electrode, Pre-Heating.
We have various types of material. CS, SS, GI, Alloy, Dis
similar, Etc..

We have 6 types of Welding Positions.
1.Flat Position - 1G
2.Horizontal Position - 2G
3.Vertical Position - 3G
4.Overhead Position - 4G
When it comes to Piping there are 4 Welding Positions
1.Rolling Horizontal Position - 1G
2.Rolling Vertical Position - 2G
3. Fixed Horizontal Position - 5G
4. Inclined Position (45° Angle) - 6G

A Process which can describes how to weld in a process called
Welding Process.
There are 4 types of Welding Process.
1.GTAW : Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
2.SMAW : Shielded Metal Arc Welding
3.GMAW : Gas Metal Arc Welding
4.FCAW : Flux cored Arc Welding

Filler Wire & Electrodes must use as per material specification.
Because every filler wire & electrode contains own mechanical
prosperities.
As per ASME Groups are segregated into Groups
