In education every program of instruction, course,or activity the best way to
approach this is to start by one of course component which is Learning Objectives.
Before you decide on the content to cover in your course, endow your course with a
strong internal structure conducive to student learning.in other word ask youre self
what student will be able to do at hte end of the leeson ?
1. Definition :
Learning objectives is a statement of what learneres will know,understand or able to do as a
result of ingaging in learning activity .
2. Importance of learning objectives :
 provide clarity about the purpose of course.( let the student have an over look or
abroad information an outline ..about what they will study or dill with in this
course or lesson)
 Guide the developement of appropriate content,methods,and materials by the

3. Learning Objectives VS Goals :
 Learning Objectives differ from over all Training objectives or goals.

 A goals is statement of intended general outcomes of instructional unit or program a
global learning outcomes.
 A learning objective is statement of one several speacific performance, the
achievements of which contributes to the attainement of the goal.
 A single goal may have specific subordiante learning objective,and may not be
strictly measurlable.
 Course goals Describe the overall purpose of the course within the curriculum,and the
time frame is long term.
 Course objectives break down goals into measurable behaviors that demonstrate
competency ensure successful accomplishment of course goals.
4. How to write Learning objectives :
 Focus on student Performance not teacher performance.
 Focus on product - not process.
 Focus on terminal behavior - not subject matter.
 Use simple language and keep them short.
5. EXEMPLE OF LEARNING OBJECTIVES :

G2 2  A goals is statement of intended general outcomes of instructional unit or program a global learning outcomes.  A learning objective is statement of one several speacific performance, the achievements of which contributes to the attainement of the goal.  A single goal may have specific subordiante learning objective,and may not be strictly measurlable.  Course goals Describe the overall purpose of the course within the curriculum,and the time frame is long term.  Course objectives break down goals into measurable behaviors that demonstrate competency ensure successful accomplishment of course goals. 4.
