What is Methodology ???
The system of methods followed in a particular
discipline.
In this research we want to find “Why Laos students
weak in English Learning ?
• First, Researcher: provided A4 paper to participants by
answering ten questions for each in their mother
tongue .
• Second, they return back to researcher for identified
and develop in the categories and translate in English.

7. Third, Researcher: use Microsoft Excel for culcu-
lating in order to find the “weakness of Laos`s
student”.

selected form the population for study.
Ex : In the searcher selected 30 students : 15 males and
females.
Population: total number of participants in the
area, the researcher planning to study.

In order to obtain learner
perception about all the
English co-curricular activities
organized by the ELC, they
designed a questionnaire
consisting of 20 questions.
Using this questionnaire,
they collected responses
from 368 purposively
sampled undergraduate
students taking different
levels of ELC courses.

13. The data collected from the questionnaires was coded the mean
scores for each question item as well as the average mean scores of
the six categories of language learning strategies in SILL ( social
international Language Level) were calculated.
This was followed by a statistical analysis the SPSS Windows
statistical package version 16.0.

15. The main purpose want to determine the factor
that affect on student English learning as a second
language or foreign language. According the question;
“Why Lao Student Weak in English”
After analyzing of the data through Microsoft Excel they can find
the resolution of English learning in Laos in FOE at NUOL
1. Students cannot perform well and influenced in the in-
tersest of students because of teachers are not well trained
2. Majority of student`s lack of English background knowledge; For

and feeling ashamed for made mistake.
2. Student do not practice to speak English with native speaker
because of classroom crowded not good environment for.
