Details of editing
Phoebe Cowley Mid shot. I want to take
my DPS photos
outside in the
local park.
This means that
I can use natural
lighting to take
my photos.
Because the photo
will be taken in the
park, the
background will
most likely be tress
and grass.
The article will be an
‘Introducing...’ series.
This means that the
article will be in the
form of an interview
Tessa Bannister Close up shot I again want to
take my photos
outside.
However,
instead of being
against a tree I
want to them to
be taken in front
of a wall.
The background
will be more
industrial looking
than natural.
I want the photos I
take of Tessa to
incorporate the
front of the
bandstand in
Battersea park.
The photos I take
will be one of the
main images of my
contents page as I
am going to
incorporate the
photos into some
kind of main story.
I will edit out any
unnecessary things
in my photos. For
example, because I
am choosing to take
my photos outside
there may be litter or
unnecessary objects
in the shot that I will
have to edit out.
Flora Hellman Close up /
medium shots
I am taking
these photos
indoors against
a white walls.
Plain white
background.
I am still unsure as
to whether or not I
want to use these
photos at all.
Because the photos
will all be close-ups I
will be able to edit
out any of Flora’s
blemishes
immediately.
2. Drawn design
Masthead:
The masthead will be called:
TITLE’s CONTENTS
Images:
There will be three to four
main images which will also
be used to highlight which
picture belongs to which
story
Caption:
The captions will be
used to clarify the
meanings of the
pictures. There will be
three main captions
under each image.
Page number:
Page number is used to
highlight which page of
the magazine it is. And I
will also use it to highlight
the page numbers of my
mains stories.
Text:
There will be 3 to 4 main bodies of
text all with a different theme. For
example, one will be called ‘Fashion’,
the other will be called ‘Music’ and
then I will have to think of a name for
the other ones.
Subjects:
The subjects are the three images
of individuals I choose to put in
the boxes.
3. Choosing pictures:
Both of these photos are ones that I am likely to
incorporate into my contents page.
Although they look different I can put them under
different title’s so they will be in different sections
of the magazine.
For example, the photo on the bottom is rather
feminine so might do well being incorporated in
the fashion/beauty section of the magazine.
Whereas, the photo on the top could be put in a
‘busking’ section of the magazine which highlights
some of London’s best buskers.
These photos will need editing before I incorporate
them into my magazine. For example, the one of
my friend Flora on the bottom right will need the
background lightened to make it look whiter and
like it was taken in a more professional location
like a studio.
