8. Simply put: Yes. Lights has found a strong fan base in the Lights
army. They are truly passionate about spreading her name and
supporting her music through promoting it, purchasing the
albums, merch, concert tickets. She recently broke into the arena
scene with opening for Paramore at the Air Canada Centre

Lights is very active on her Twitter,
Instagram and Facebook. She posts
pictures of her personal life
(marriage, recent birth of her
daughter (Rocket Wild Bokan born
Feb 15, 2014), current album
production), tweets fellow celebrity
friends (who often retweet when
she’s releasing new stuff), retweet
fan artwork, collections, videos etc,
tweets about organizations such as
#BellLetsTalk, donates her voice
and time for charity songs (Waving
Flag – Young Artists for Haiti)

When performing in a city, Lights has
occasionally tweeted about a tourist
activity she is doing while in that city and
mentions that evening’s venue. During the
concert, she encourages fans to tweet her
pictures of their concert outfits (usually the
ones dressed up in costume from her
music video) and “check in” using sites
like Foursquare and Facebook.
While she does not follow fans back on
sites like Twitter and Instagram, she does
frequently respond to their questions
Jeremy the bug mails out stickers and
posters to Lights army members for them
to post around the city and hand out
during the concert for promotion!

Upon recent examination of her Twitter, Lights has
tweeted 14 times this month (and that includes links to
her Instagram photos). All posts are either happy and
upbeat, relative to current world events or informative
of her new music or personal life. (And in her defence,
she had a baby this month, so let’s forgive the lack of a
large number of updates!) Updates are consistent to
