My Family : My Life In The Family
While growing up with a sister usually lives in the same home in my case I lived with my mother and my sister lived with her father. I grew up in
New York City, and my sister was in Miami two separate locations. The outcome would be, I joined the military and currently attending school for
Occupational Therapy Assistant and my sister became a housewife and a Nurse after her separation. How we are raised in two separate locations and
one parent a piece can grow up in two different ways. How we turned out is two members of society that paid taxes, both own a home, and live to raise
our children.
After serving 20 years in the military my career started all over again once we retire. My career in the military was as a Human Resources Sergeant and
Platoon Sergeant. I joined the army when I was 21 years old and travel to Honduras, Columbia, and Afghanistan. Most people in the military don't
stay in any one location more than 3 years in my case I live in four places North Carolina Alaska, South Carolina and Florida. Now I'm attending
school to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Going back to school at 41 years of age is the hardest thing for me since I was never good
in school. On the other hand, my sister got married at the age of 18 and had children. She lived in Miami for her entire life. While she was raising
her children, she went to school for Nursing and currently working for the past 11 years. My sister got A's and B's while she was in school. In my

Audi King Trailers
One day not too long ago, Audi King was on a business trip in northern Wisconsin. Audi is a curious and adventurous man full of vigor for the
unexpected. While in Wisconsin he made a stop at a local farm to sell the farmer his company's product, Agra King, a silage preservative. While
driving to the farm he noticed several old tractor trailers that looked abandoned, scattered across a vast field.
Before leaving the farm, he asked the farmer what the trailers were used for. The farmer told him that the trailers belonged to a hippy who made
fireworks. They were scattered across the field because if one caught fire they wouldn't all blow up. Audi thought that it would be nice to have some
fireworks, since fireworks of this size were illegal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After a few seconds the first fuse lit. Just before the package lit he glanced up at the work bench and saw the mass chaos that was unfolding before
him. Without thinking Audi dropped the grinder and quickly ducked behind his lawn tractor. That was when it happened. Like a bomb, a nuke, a
grenade the exposition rocked the entire garage, causing the grinder, once laying on the workbench, to catapult through the air towards the door, and
towards Audi. He caught the airborne tool with such force it threw him to the ground. Just when he thought that was it, the second package went off,
filling the garage with a loud rumbling, and a light brighter than the sun. This explosion blew out the windows. This chain of events continued with
a third and final explosion Causing his ear drums to pop, and his lungs to fill with the aroma of freshly lit gunpowder, Audi was left gasping for air.
After this series of events took place he stood up, scratched his head, and started laughing. At that moment his wife Judy came bursting through the
door, looking like she had just seen a ghost. Audi quickly told her that he was alright and that he wouldn't be buying anymore fireworks. He quickly
cleaned up the mess that his mistake had created. Then he finished his job of sharpening the blades and mowing the yard. Life for Audi has been

My Moving Day
It was moving day and I was not excited. I hated moving, I woke up dreading it already hating today and the next few days. To make matters worse
or landlord decided to be a jerk and gave a us a week to get out of his house. When we told him he blew a gasket and was basically screaming at us.
He wouldn't budge either so we rushed everything. We got everything packed in two days, and had already gotten some of our stuff to the new house
when he called us. "I'm gonna need you outta the house by tomorrow." "What?" I ask incredulously, "that's impossible"
"Well Friday I have a possible new tenant so you're gonna have to hurry." He says flatly.

I just wanted it fixed enough for me to sleep here. I had bought a lot of drywall, and had it sitting outside but it looked as though it was about to rain.
Iowa weather was so unpredictable it wasn't even supposed to rain today, but I could hear the thunder off in the distance. I got the drywall into the
back of my truck and backed it into the garage and set it in there. I look over the garage and it's oddly clean, except in the corner there's a bunch of
things that I hadn't seen the last time I was here. I walk over to see what it is. It looks like a bunch of sheets, I pick one up and it looks like it's covered

Judith Beveridge Speech Essay
Judith Beveridge is a poet of great detail. Her poems are written with strong use of language. Strong imagery of her observations and contrasts of her
views help create her poems meaning and effect on the reader. Beveridge's texts are valuable to the understanding of human and nature's precious life,
and her appreciation for life in all. Through her two poems 'the domesticity of Giraffes' and 'the streets of Chippendale' these both communicate her
ideas and values the strongest.
One of Beveridge's strongest values is of life, in 'the domesticity of giraffes' this is displayed from the first sentence of the second stanza. 'I think of
her graceful on her plain' Beveridge puts herself into the poem, her thoughts of the giraffe in her natural ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Life in Chippendale is rough, alcoholic and sad. Beveridge uses juxtaposition to contrast the names of the streets with what they sound to be.
'Abercrombie sounds like the eccentric unmarried third cousin' 'but Abercrombie's different'. Beveridge personifies the street as though it is a
grumbling, alcoholic, causing trouble and disturbance. There is so much violence, as though men are fighting in their drunken confident state to up
their lacking self esteem. 'Sad daughter of the ruined slipper' violence sexual abuse nothing of what is accepted in society. The community of
Chippendale has no value anymore, no society morals exist. Life is not valued or precious, there seem to be no happy memories to ever come from
this place ' streets go to wall like families' ' ivy vine rose and myrtle not one of your descendants mourns your loss' the people of Chippendale don't
want to remember this place at all. Though above the grime and run down nature, 'Thomas and Edward have climbed to new heights, incomes and
renovations, things are slightly looking up in one small part of town.
The streets of Chippendale are very male dominated. Beveridge particularly portrays this with certain lines, images in our minds from the words beer

Energy Star Research Paper
The Energy Star program estimate that most people could save money on their AC bills by ridding their home of air leaks. Most older houses have
large and small cracks in the foundation, roof and walls. These cracks could be small or gaping holes. Most people might only notice large holes, but
some cracks cannot be seen without a magnifying glass.
After locating the air leaks, the technician will seal the cracks with a caulk or foam. An HVACtechnician can find leaks with a blower and infrared
cameras. A blower is a large fan that is installed in the doorway, and the fan has a device that can measure the amount of air flowing through the
home. An infrared camera can expose air leaks. The camera uses the colors blue and red to indicate hot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the garage door is closed, there should not be any openings around the sides, bottom or top of the garage door. The technician can apply PVC
molding to the cracks. The molding will seal the gap between the door and the frame.
If the garage has an uneven floor, the technician can apply a brush seal. It will prevent dirt and water from penetrating the floor. The most durable seals
are made from nylon and aluminum.
Weather stripping can keep your garage warm during the winter months and cool during the summer months. Since your garage will be warmer, you
will not have to waste time waiting for your car to heat up.
It is going to be a hot and long summer, and your air conditioner will be forced to work hard if your home is not properly insulated. When an HVAC
technician finishes weather stripping your windows and doors, you will save money on your AC bills. Do not wait until the summer to take action.
You can start saving money on your electric bills today. An experienced HVAC technician can help you reduce your energy consumption and lower
your carbon footprint. You will be amazed by how much money you save every month.

Creative Writing: Ryan Greggory Smith
He is remarkable in my eyes and presents his extraordinary features to others, but believes he is only ordinary. Ryan is much more than just a normal
person and if I had to sum up all of his hidden accomplishments, 20 vehicles to be exact, in one single word, I would use innovative. Why you ask?
Well, Ryan, being his 21–year–old self, can make nothing into something. He could make a pile of brittle metal into a rocker panel on a car with his
handy–dandy welder and many different tools I do not even know the name of.
How about I tell you about this wonderful human being; the one that I will be continuously rambling on about throughout my writing piece. Ryan
Greggory Smith is experienced, talented, capable of anything, and a very loyal boyfriend but if I start on that, I will exceed my word count. He works
harder than many men I know, whether it's on the farm for his grandparents or in the garage, you never hear him complaining about a backache or a
sore shoulder.

thoughts brewing in that brain of his about a current project. He would quickly finish his bowl of hickory sticks and proceed out to the garage with

"Awe you look so cute!" Jillian exclaims nearly every day when she sees me walk out of my room to leave for school in the mornings. "Cute" is a word
Jillian, or Jilly, as I call her, uses to describe nearly everything in her world. Jillian always tries her hardest to make sure she's nice to everyone, and
strives to make them feel good about themselves. Many words can be used to describe Jillian, but the most accurate words to describe her is kind
hearted. Jillian Rose Pratt is the best older sister anyone could ever ask for. In a year I'll be helping her pack her bags for college. I'll no longer have

Her favorite outfits usually consist of athletic leggings paired with a fitted shirt underneath a baggy hoodie or a stylish windbreaker. Jillian's hair
always looks like she just came from the beach, and has a light brown hue with streaks of honey mingling with the brown. If looks could kill,
everyone in Jillian's path would be dead. Jilly's resting face looks like she hates everyone and everything, so people are generally fearful when
they first see her. Once people get over their fear of Jillian's natural face, they realize she couldn't hurt a fly. Jillian is always looking for ways to
help me. One of the biggest ways she's helped me is by introducing me to the youth ministry at Oak Bridge. When I think of Jillian, church is one of
the first things to come to my mind. Going to The Edge, which is the name of our ministry, with Jillian is the thing that I look forward to every

Reaction Paper On Pre-Interaction
Pre–Interaction:
What information are you seeking to gain from this interaction?
During this interaction, I am hoping to gain information about various topics on campus. The following topics include: Public Safety, lack of trash
cans, how to get commuter students more involved, and how can we improve the GCU experience for commuter students. The reason, I bought up
discussing about Public Safety, is that commuter students are the ones who constantly are walking to and from the Halo and 29th Avenue garages and I
just want to see if there has been any issues. The reason, I plan on discussing the lack of trash cans, is that it was bought up to my attention during a
previous interaction that there were not trash cans by the popular areas like the student union and the Engineering classrooms. Also, this individual
was concern that there is a lack of trash cans by the commuter lounge. The third question, I wanted to focus on how we could get more commuter
students to our events. Lastly, I want every commuter student to feel like they have a great college experience that is why I am asking how we can
make their experience at GCU better.
Please list the questions that you plan to ask students below:
Do you feel safe when coming on and off campus? How you experience any issues?
Do you feel there is a lack of trash cans near popular areas like the Student Union and the Engineering building?
How can we get more commuter students involved on campus?
How can we improve your GCU experience?
Notes:
Post–Interaction:
What were the main concerns and issues raised by students?
The main concerns and issues raised by students were that they do not feel like they know about various events on campus. Most students felt that there
should be an email that goes out with all the events that week on it. Another issue was they feel like that they need to have more events in the afternoon
– early evening, so they can attend. They feel like they will not come back to campus unless it is a really big event. Another issue that was addressed
was installing a left turn signal by the Halo garage. Most commuter students felt that this would solve the issues of trying to get out of the

Kimbell
Kimbell describes a typical Sunday Vermonters spend down at the garage. He emphasizes the idea of "welding", "fixing", "repainting", and
"digging", In order to stress the importance of building one's life. He also mentions "sighting a gun" and "trying to charge a battery" in the hopes of
painting a picture of rugged individualism, frontier living, and self dependence. Kimbell even highlights the practical necessities for everyday living
and survival by including the smaller pleasures in life such as a
"non–dairy creamer" and a "small refrigerator", while representing the specific implements used in building a life, "washers", "bolts", and "screws", the
simple tools needed to create a sturdy foundation.
The garage's owner, Tom, uses... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kimbell then goes into detail about a Sunday usual who brought everyone "pancakes and sausages" and go in trouble for "stand[ing] out". Although
pancakes and sausages are a practical breakfast perhaps practicality isn't welcomed in the traditional places of opposition. However the church does
accept "grape or orange" juice, offered to the kids, who "run...
[and] play tag under the large maple" where they touch–up on their "investigat[ion]" skills while exploring the "ancient two–holer hidden in the
brambles", which lends the idea of the church being of some importance in the up–bringing of children. "The church has a pressed tin ceiling... [from
the] 19 th century" which "distort[s the] view of the river and green mountains", by painting a picture of the church's antique physique, it is to be
interpreted that Kimbell is suggesting that tradition is getting in the way of practicality, and perhaps blurring other's full understanding of what is being
taught.
Kimbell soon returns to the primary location, Tom's garage, describing how it is "smaller", and how "nobody passes the plate" while visiting there,
although "pretty good advice" is sure to be obtained. By stating this, Kimbell proposes the thought of the church being a bigger, and perhaps more
flamboyant place, where they stick to the proper way of doing things and "pass the

Personal Narrative : My Best Friend
Not Just a Pet, But Family
It's been ten years since the tragedy and if someone were to ask me about that day, I still get shaken up about it. By "that day" I mean the day I ran
home to find my yellow lab, Jesse, lying helpless in the middle of the road. The image of her lifeless body laying there remains to haunt me from time
to time and it's a nightmare that i can't seem to shake.
Jesse, my first best friend was also the first dog I ever owned. My family and I bought her when she was just a puppy back in 1998. I didn't realize
how smart of a dog she was at the time until we brought her home and I went over some tricks with her. Sit, stay, roll over. She knew them all. My
most fondest memory with her is the day we played hide and seek in the back yard. My brother and I would go out back, i would go hide
somewhere, and Jesse would come find me. Even in the most bizarre spots of underneath mom's car, up in a tree, or behind the old shed in the backyard,
Jesse would always be there. We were inseparable.
Back on July 8th of 2009, it started out like any other day. Blue skies, the smell of freshly cut grass and the sweet sounds of birds chirping out in the
distance filled the air. My daily routine during the summer was to eat lunch and run down the street to hang out with my best friend Ben and his
family. I scarfed down my turkey sandwich and ran down to his house. We had a full day of plans ahead of us such as playing video games, manhunt,
and a whole bunch of running

Galactic Thieves Short Story
Galactic Thieves
When I was a boy I always thought I was different. I thought I was meant for greatness and I was going to change the world. "Come on Chris we got a

Grass Is Always Greener in Gwendolyn Brooks' Poem, A Song...
The Grass Is Always Greener
In her poem a song in the front yard, Gwendolyn Brooks addresses an adolescent's ache for independence. The speaker, a young girl, indicated by
the poem's colloquial language and lower case title, feels isolated from the real world and expresses her desire to release her inhibitions by pushing
the boundaries set by those around her. There is friction between the speaker and her mother as the speaker searches for an identity separate from
her family. Though her mother looks down on these people that live in the 'backyard', the speaker, ultimately, does not care and hopes to become
exactly what she has been protected from all of her life. The speaker realizes that who she is expected to be is not necessarily who she wants to be and
decides to be independent from her mother and society's expectations.
At first the speaker feels guilty for being tempted by the "backyard," but continues to be drawn in by the rougher lifestyle, romanticizing it as a type of
secret garden. The speaker aches to experience a rougher life in contrast to her neat and predictable world. She confesses, "I've stayed in the front yard
all my life. / I want a peek at the back/ Where it's rough and untended and hungry weed grows/ A girl gets sick of a rose." (1–4). The front yard
represents the status quo of an inviting and orderly life. Brooks has found a perfect contrasting metaphor to illustrate two opposite lifestyles: the front
yard and the back yard. In the second line, the

10 renovations for skyrocketing your property's valuation, and how to get them done properly
Before you get too excited about Zillow's estimate of your home, remember that Zillow have never been inside your home. In fact, their own website
states that it is "computed using a proprietary formula" and notably, "It is not an appraisal". Therefore, the true value of your home could be very
different to what is displayed on Zillow. The great thing is, you can skyrocket the value of your property by carrying out some renovations.
1) Paint

On the other hand, a well kept garden makes a home look more inviting, could increase the value and also makes it significantly easier to sell.
Fortunately, you can improve the look of your garden using some books and Youtube videos. Besides helping to skyrocket your property's value,
gardening can be incredibly therapeutic.
5) Build a spare room
Nothing beats space in a home. However, depending on the way your house is built, it can be difficult to extend into the loft or build into the ground
(very expensive). Notably, you can build a spare room which is attached to your home. This could be used as an extra bedroom, game room etc.
6) Tone down on the decorations
If you are looking to renovate in order to sell your home, it is important that a potential buyer can see themselves living in your home. Therefore, the
decorations which you think make your home stand out could put people of. Therefore, some simple renovations would be to take down any bright
wallpaper, wall decals etc.
7) Kitchen
The kitchen is one of the most important parts of the home. Therefore, a kitchen renovation can shoot up the value of your property and make it easier
to sell in the future. In order to save money on a kitchen renovation, buy the parts yourself and then negotiate with an experienced kitchen renovator to
fix it for you.

The position that Hanson held not only allowed for access to sensitive information dealing with counterintelligence operations but also with the assets
that were working for the Soviets. The issues that lay within Hansen's personal assessments throughout his career showed for potential to lead to a
FISS determining him a potential vulnerability to be exploited, one of these being his arrogance. He also has instances where he accessed
information on Soviet CI documents which lead to nothing on the part of his superiors. This should have been a key indication of potential
recruitment of a FISS to access information on CI documents. One of the largest issues that are seen in the Hansen case is that previous identifying
indicators of espionage had no bearing on Hansen conducting espionage. One of the deficiencies seen in Hansen's conduct of espionage was the
inability for the FBI to detect the intrusions at the time, which was based solely on trust. What could have detected these espionage operations
conducted by Hansen, were periodic investigations as well as period polygraph testing in order to determine his intentions. What could have assisted as
well, is the use of these periodic investigations after the key incidents that should have placed him on the radar for suspicious

Katherine's Home: A Narrative Fiction
After spending several hours, in the motel with Frank, Marlene showered, dressed, and started to leave, the raven–haired beauty, picked up her purse,

Someone in the Backseat- Creative Writing Essay
Driving through torrential rain was very torturous. The rain thumped on the bonnet and the wind whistled along the curves of the car. The trees were
waving frantically in the wind as if to attract the attention of passing cars. Like the night, the winding country road grew longer and longer, darker and
darker with every passing hour. The bright headlights pushed back the darkness, which immediately returned to haunt the rear of the car. The darkness
seeps into the car and hangs heavily over the back seat.

Natalie, scared of the thought of getting out of the car to fix the tyre, switches off her phone and decides to continue until she finds a garage.
After approximately fifteen minutes of slow careful driving Natalie comes across a secluded garage. She stops the car in the garage yard and notices a
light coming from a shack in one corner of the yard. Natalie winds down her window and shouts for attention in the direction of the shack. No
reply. Natalie puts on her coat and gloves and gets out of the car. The yard is wet and muddy and she notices numerous dark cabins lining the yard.
She goes over to the cabin with the light on and knocks on the door. No answer. She bangs harder with the bottom of her fist. Again no answer. She
tries the handle. There is a "click" and the door opens slightly. "Hello, hello, is anybody there"? No reply. She pushes the door wide open. The door
opens with the most painful creaking sound. Natalie steps into the room and the overpowering damp smell forces her to immediately put her hands

The inside of the cabin was bigger than it looked from the outside. There was a single dirty lightbulb hanging low from the ceiling. The stale

Is your garage packed to the gills with boxes full of things unknown and bins of stuff that should have been put in a sale or taken to good will years
ago? Does it have tubs full of Christmas, Easter, and Halloween decorations? I 'm guessing the rakes and shovels are stashed in a corner behind the

Also identify what part of the garage will be best used for storing various items. List any additional tools or materials you may need to accomplish this.
For example: Shelving units, storage bins, bike racks or hooks, peg boards tool organizers etc. You also need to make sure you have the proper tools you
need in order to install these items.
Set a time and start sorting and categorizing items. If you set a specific time and date to start, it will help you to actually start doing things rather
than procrastinating. Use containers or start making piles on your driveway to help with the initial sorting and organizing. The key to organizing
your garage is to actually remove everything from the garage completely and sort them that way. This will give you the opportunity to actually see
everything and make the executive decision to keep or get rid of certain things. Be sure to properly dispose of hazardous items such as paint, oil,
batteries, and solvents. After you have emptied your garage completely, sweep it out very well. It may be a good idea to take a water hose and spray it
out as well to be sure to get rid of as much dirt and dust as possible.
Now, take note of the amount of available space you have in your garage as it is very valuable space. Make use of the vertical space in your garage.
You can maximize the storage space in your garage if you use organization grids, hanging bin systems, hanging bike racks or hooks shelving

Personal Narrative : My Summer Camp
On June 27, 2017, my summer camp had started it's adventure. I went to a City called Oxnard, 2 hours away from Los Angeles and 30 minutes
past Malibu beach. As we arrived. I had went with all my friends growing up. Monika, Silvia, Rachel, Julie, Mya, Cathy, and Mary.It was around
9:15 pm and we decided to head down and eat at Panda Express. The teachers decided we couldn't have any meat since this was a church trip and it
was fasting time. But since everyone was hungry we decided to go behind the teachers backs and then my friend, Monika, came up with a brilliant idea.
"Hey guys, you know what we should do..?'' Monika asked with sly look on her face.
"What amazing idea do you have now to get us all in trouble..?" I asked. Since I knew all her ideas ment trouble.
"It's not that bad, we should just ask for samples of anything we want I mean they busy getting things out the car.." Monika replied.
Everyone thought it was an awesome idea and so we asked and the lady at the register gladly gave us anything we wanted to sample and we had
gotten away like that. Once we had arrived, the house looked the same as every year. The two rooms on the side when you enter, garage door, living
room, and the gate to the backyard. We had gotten everything we needed and got into our pajamas, gotten all things for party such as candy, more
candy, and candy. We were called outside to roast marshmallows. (This was a bad idea since we weren't gonna sleep from all the sugar). And so, we

If you live in an older home, and have a garage door that is well over twenty years old, it may be time to update your garage door. Here are the top
three reasons why you should consider investing in a new garage door this summer.
It Will Increase The Value Of Your Home
The garage door is generally the biggest door in any homes, and it experiences a lot of wear and tear. Over twenty years of wear and tear can really
degrade the quality of your garage door. If your garage door looks old and tired, it will make your entire house look old and tired as well.
Having a new, modern electrical garage door will increase the value of your home and make it more appeal to buyers if or when you decide to list your
home. Buyers today expect to have electrical garage doors with openers that are easy to use and operate.

Graduation Speech
It was a bright and beautiful summer day in May. I will never forget anything about this day and the remarkable things that happened on this day.
The birds were chirping and you can smell sunscreen in the air. School had just gotten out about a week ago. I was finally considered a
sophomore. My best friend Angel at the time had stayed the night at my house the night before. She was constantly at my house, it was almost as
if she lived there. My phone vibrated and woke me up, it was about 12 o 'clock in the afternoon. There was a text from my mom saying that her and
my dad were going to Charleston, South Carolina to look at new furniture to get for our house. Then I got a separate text from my Dad saying to
clean the house to keep us busy and if we were going to go anywhere to text him or my mom and let one of them know. Of course I responded
saying "okay I will." But if you know me, you know that I'm pretty lazy especially during the summer when it's hot outside. So I really wasn't in the
mood to be cleaning. It was something I knew I had to do though so of course I forced myself to get the motivation and get out of bed. We went
downstairs and made ourselves some delicious warm microwavable pancakes. I also made us both ice coffee's and I'm not quite sure how I figured out
to use the coffee maker cuz I never really used it, I would always just depend on starbucks. After we were reasonably full and had good amounts of
energy from our coffee we

The Theme And Themes Of Skellig By Hans David Almond
I read a book called "Skellig" over the summer vacation. "Skellig" is written by David Almond, which won the Hans Christian Andersen Awards in
2010. Hans Christian Andersen Awards is the highest international recognition given to an author and an illustrator of children's books. David Almond
grew up in a Catholic family in Felling–on–Tyne with four sisters and one brother. He loved writing since he was a child and dreamed of publishing
his own book. In his interview, he revealed that his baby sister died when he was only 7 years old. His father also passed away when he and his
sisters and brothers were all young. His mother was always serious with arthritis. He said that this was his childhood, and it provided everything he
needs as a writer,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the reviews on Amazon, I found out that people who only gave 1 star tend to say the story was so boring. They felt confusion when reading
Skellig because the story was moving on slowly. The really interesting part did not start until about 40% of the way in. Also, the story has too many
themes and ideas mixed together, such as the ill baby, the neighbor girl that is home schooled, and the human–like creature in the garage. By having too
many themes and ideas, it makes too many mysterious parts, so that it is hard to understand what is going on. Plus, there are not so many action, so
for people that likes to read a action books, might dislike Skellig. On the other hand, the people who gave 5 stars on the Amazon reviews said that
there are a lot of mysterious parts in the story, and that allows your imagination to expand and makes you want to guess what is going to happen next.
They say that the novel is great for adults too, even it is a children's book. Therefore, it will be good for reading aloud with your family. The chapters
are short, so it is easy for children and intermediate readers too. I found it easy to read Skellig, rather than reading novels with really long Chapters.
The story has characters with unusual characteristics for children's books, so you can enjoy a different taste. One review said that if you have some
big or small questions about life, this book might help you find the answer. As a result, I enjoyed reading this novel, and I will recommend you to read

The Old Ruins
Introduction The old ruins were enigmatic enough to catch and hold anyone's attention, those being from 2020, with the old metal/glass boxes
with silver apples painted over them in white and old security systems that might randomly be tripped and start blaring, but nobody had been in
them since the weaponry testing, it was said that there was still some decaying quantum particles that might sporadically release huge bursts of

Walter Mitlter's Character Analysis
Walter Mitty is an average, middle–aged man living a dull life, and is married to a bossy wife. He does just about everything that Mrs. Mitty tells him
to do, except see Dr. Renshaw; and because of all this, Walter often daydreams about the more exciting lives that he could have possibly lived. These
daydreams become so elaborate that Walter is very easily distracted and does not communicate with other people very well.
Walter's boring life leads him to become highly imaginative, though he grows more anti–social at the same time. All of this does not help him create
bonds with anyone or feel as needed as he wants to be.
Walter's mundane life starts off with his wife telling him what he needs to do and go get. Mrs. Mitty tells him to: slow down when he drives faster
than forty kilometers per hour, to buy overshoes and puppy biscuits, and asks why he's not wearing his driving gloves that she got for him (implying
that Walter should put them on). Knowing his wife would only be so long at the hair dresser and that she wants him to get back... Show more content

The Worst Mistake Of My Life
June 10, 2017, just a fun summer night, or that's what me and my cousin thought it was going to be. Little did I know, that was going to be the
worst mistake of my life. My dad was out of town for a rock concert and my grandma was gone to help my Great grandpa because he had cancer. So
that left us with just our grandpa. Around 6 o'clock my best friend called me and invited me and my cousin over for a BBQ. He came to pick us up
and i was told to be home around 12. As we all sat around the picnic table outside laughing and having a good time, my friends parents went around
taking everyone's keys away, including the ones that weren't drinking. Even though no one would be able to get me home when i was supposed
to, that didn't stop me from drinking. Beer after beer and a few shots of liquor here and there. I got a little too carried away and completely
disregarded the time. One oclock started to approach and we realized that we were going to be in BIG trouble if we didn't get home. We sat there
trying to figure out what we were going to do because we didn't want to have to call our grandpa. It was around 1:30 when we finally made a
decision, but we never expected that, that one decision would change our lives. We knew we had to get home before my grandpa would wake up
and see that we still weren't at home. So we took it upon ourselves to walk home. We didn't really think anything of it because my house was only a
few blocks from my friends, but we seemed to have forgotten

While in Wisconsin he made a stop at a local farm to sell the farmer his company's product, Agra King, a silage preservative. While driving to the farm he noticed several old tractor trailers that looked abandoned, scattered across a vast field. Before leaving the farm, he asked the farmer what the trailers were used for. The farmer told him that the trailers belonged to a hippy who made fireworks. They were scattered across the field because if one caught fire they wouldn't all blow up. He caught the airborne tool with such force it threw him to the ground. Just when he thought that was it, the second package went off, filling the garage with a loud rumbling, and a light brighter than the sun. This explosion blew out the windows. This chain of events continued with a third and final explosion Causing his ear drums to pop, and his lungs to fill with the aroma of freshly lit gunpowder, Audi was left gasping for air. After this series of events took place he stood up, scratched his head, and started laughing. At that moment his wife Judy came bursting through the door, looking like she had just seen a ghost. Ryan is much more than just a normal person and if I had to sum up all of his hidden accomplishments, 20 vehicles to be exact, in one single word, I would use innovative. Why you ask? Well, Ryan, being his 21–year–old self, can make nothing into something. He could make a pile of brittle metal into a rocker panel on a car with his handy–dandy welder and many different tools I do not even know the name of. • 9. Reaction Paper On Pre-Interaction Pre–Interaction: What information are you seeking to gain from this interaction? During this interaction, I am hoping to gain information about various topics on campus. The following topics include: Public Safety, lack of trash cans, how to get commuter students more involved, and how can we improve the GCU experience for commuter students. The reason, I bought up discussing about Public Safety, is that commuter students are the ones who constantly are walking to and from the Halo and 29th Avenue garages and I just want to see if there has been any issues. The reason, I plan on discussing the lack of trash cans, is that it was bought up to my attention during a previous interaction that there were not trash cans by the popular areas like the student union and the Engineering classrooms. Also, this individual was concern that there is a lack of trash cans by the commuter lounge. The third question, I wanted to focus on how we could get more commuter students to our events. Lastly, I want every commuter student to feel like they have a great college experience that is why I am asking how we can make their experience at GCU better. Please list the questions that you plan to ask students below: Do you feel safe when coming on and off campus? How you experience any issues? Do you feel there is a lack of trash cans near popular areas like the Student Union and the Engineering building? How can we get more commuter students involved on campus? How can we improve your GCU experience? Notes: Post–Interaction: What were the main concerns and issues raised by students? The main concerns and issues raised by students were that they do not feel like they know about various events on campus. Most students felt that there should be an email that goes out with all the events that week on it. Another issue was they feel like that they need to have more events in the afternoon – early evening, so they can attend. They feel like they will not come back to campus unless it is a really big event. Another issue that was addressed was installing a left turn signal by the Halo garage. Most commuter students felt that this would solve the issues of trying to get out of the

He emphasizes the idea of "welding", "fixing", "repainting", and "digging", In order to stress the importance of building one's life. He also mentions "sighting a gun" and "trying to charge a battery" in the hopes of painting a picture of rugged individualism, frontier living, and self dependence. Kimbell even highlights the practical necessities for everyday living and survival by including the smaller pleasures in life such as a "non–dairy creamer" and a "small refrigerator", while representing the specific implements used in building a life, "washers", "bolts", and "screws", the simple tools needed to create a sturdy foundation. • 13. Personal Narrative : My Best Friend Not Just a Pet, But Family It's been ten years since the tragedy and if someone were to ask me about that day, I still get shaken up about it. By "that day" I mean the day I ran home to find my yellow lab, Jesse, lying helpless in the middle of the road. The image of her lifeless body laying there remains to haunt me from time to time and it's a nightmare that i can't seem to shake. Jesse, my first best friend was also the first dog I ever owned. My family and I bought her when she was just a puppy back in 1998. I didn't realize how smart of a dog she was at the time until we brought her home and I went over some tricks with her. Sit, stay, roll over. She knew them all. My most fondest memory with her is the day we played hide and seek in the back yard. My brother and I would go out back, i would go hide somewhere, and Jesse would come find me. Even in the most bizarre spots of underneath mom's car, up in a tree, or behind the old shed in the backyard, Jesse would always be there. We were inseparable. Back on July 8th of 2009, it started out like any other day. Blue skies, the smell of freshly cut grass and the sweet sounds of birds chirping out in the distance filled the air. My daily routine during the summer was to eat lunch and run down the street to hang out with my best friend Ben and his family. I scarfed down my turkey sandwich and ran down to his house. • 16. Grass Is Always Greener in Gwendolyn Brooks' Poem, A Song... The Grass Is Always Greener In her poem a song in the front yard, Gwendolyn Brooks addresses an adolescent's ache for independence. The speaker, a young girl, indicated by the poem's colloquial language and lower case title, feels isolated from the real world and expresses her desire to release her inhibitions by pushing the boundaries set by those around her. There is friction between the speaker and her mother as the speaker searches for an identity separate from her family. Though her mother looks down on these people that live in the 'backyard', the speaker, ultimately, does not care and hopes to become exactly what she has been protected from all of her life. The speaker realizes that who she is expected to be is not necessarily who she wants to be and decides to be independent from her mother and society's expectations. At first the speaker feels guilty for being tempted by the "backyard," but continues to be drawn in by the rougher lifestyle, romanticizing it as a type of secret garden. The speaker aches to experience a rougher life in contrast to her neat and predictable world. She confesses, "I've stayed in the front yard all my life. / I want a peek at the back/ Where it's rough and untended and hungry weed grows/ A girl gets sick of a rose." (1–4). The front yard represents the status quo of an inviting and orderly life. Brooks has found a perfect contrasting metaphor to illustrate two opposite lifestyles: the front yard and the back yard. • 29. Graduation Speech It was a bright and beautiful summer day in May. I will never forget anything about this day and the remarkable things that happened on this day. The birds were chirping and you can smell sunscreen in the air. School had just gotten out about a week ago. I was finally considered a sophomore. My best friend Angel at the time had stayed the night at my house the night before. She was constantly at my house, it was almost as if she lived there. My phone vibrated and woke me up, it was about 12 o 'clock in the afternoon. There was a text from my mom saying that her and my dad were going to Charleston, South Carolina to look at new furniture to get for our house. Then I got a separate text from my Dad saying to clean the house to keep us busy and if we were going to go anywhere to text him or my mom and let one of them know. Of course I responded saying "okay I will." But if you know me, you know that I'm pretty lazy especially during the summer when it's hot outside. So I really wasn't in the mood to be cleaning. It was something I knew I had to do though so of course I forced myself to get the motivation and get out of bed. We went downstairs and made ourselves some delicious warm microwavable pancakes. I also made us both ice coffee's and I'm not quite sure how I figured out to use the coffee maker cuz I never really used it, I would always just depend on starbucks. • 30. The Theme And Themes Of Skellig By Hans David Almond I read a book called "Skellig" over the summer vacation. "Skellig" is written by David Almond, which won the Hans Christian Andersen Awards in 2010. Hans Christian Andersen Awards is the highest international recognition given to an author and an illustrator of children's books. David Almond grew up in a Catholic family in Felling–on–Tyne with four sisters and one brother. He loved writing since he was a child and dreamed of publishing his own book. In his interview, he revealed that his baby sister died when he was only 7 years old. His father also passed away when he and his sisters and brothers were all young. His mother was always serious with arthritis. He said that this was his childhood, and it provided everything he needs as a writer,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the reviews on Amazon, I found out that people who only gave 1 star tend to say the story was so boring. They felt confusion when reading Skellig because the story was moving on slowly. The really interesting part did not start until about 40% of the way in. Also, the story has too many themes and ideas mixed together, such as the ill baby, the neighbor girl that is home schooled, and the human–like creature in the garage. By having too many themes and ideas, it makes too many mysterious parts, so that it is hard to understand what is going on. Plus, there are not so many action, so for people that likes to read a action books, might dislike Skellig. On the other hand, the people who gave 5 stars on the Amazon reviews said that there are a lot of mysterious parts in the story, and that allows your imagination to expand and makes you want to guess what is going to happen next. They say that the novel is great for adults too, even it is a children's book. Therefore, it will be good for reading aloud with your family. The chapters are short, so it is easy for children and intermediate readers too. I found it easy to read Skellig, rather than reading novels with really long Chapters. The story has characters with unusual characteristics for children's books, so you can enjoy a different taste. One review said that if you have some big or small questions about life, this book might help you find the answer. As a result, I enjoyed reading this novel, and I will recommend you to read ... The Old Ruins Introduction The old ruins were enigmatic enough to catch and hold anyone's attention, those being from 2020, with the old metal/glass boxes with silver apples painted over them in white and old security systems that might randomly be tripped and start blaring, but nobody had been in them since the weaponry testing, it was said that there was still some decaying quantum particles that might sporadically release huge bursts of energy in many forms, generating plasma 'spurts' and possibly chain reactions. At least, according to the stories. There were other dangers too, supposedly there were strange and twisted creatures there, and some that even used to be human, but I didn't believe those ones, I wasn 't fit for this society, I hate the laziness here, all the indoors, I wasn 't made for this place, this time, I always feel out of place, I had to escape, to be myself, what better place to do that other than at the old abandoned ruins? I could get caught, or blasted with a plasma geyser, or tons of other terrible things could happen, but nothing could be worse than the cooped up life I already was forced to live. That was also why I couldn 't tell my friends, they 'd only hold me back, and keep me from going, that is also why I left at midnight, and without a ve–hover(too loud, easy to track, and noticeable) so I could be unknown to the world, and use muscles rarely used by anyone anymore. He does just about everything that Mrs. Mitty tells him to do, except see Dr. Renshaw; and because of all this, Walter often daydreams about the more exciting lives that he could have possibly lived. These daydreams become so elaborate that Walter is very easily distracted and does not communicate with other people very well. All of this does not help him create bonds with anyone or feel as needed as he wants to be. Walter's mundane life starts off with his wife telling him what he needs to do and go get. Mrs. Mitty tells him to: slow down when he drives faster than forty kilometers per hour, to buy overshoes and puppy biscuits, and asks why he's not wearing his driving gloves that she got for him (implying that Walter should put them on). Little did I know, that was going to be the worst mistake of my life. My dad was out of town for a rock concert and my grandma was gone to help my Great grandpa because he had cancer. So that left us with just our grandpa. Around 6 o'clock my best friend called me and invited me and my cousin over for a BBQ. He came to pick us up and i was told to be home around 12. As we all sat around the picnic table outside laughing and having a good time, my friends parents went around taking everyone's keys away, including the ones that weren't drinking. Even though no one would be able to get me home when i was supposed to, that didn't stop me from drinking. Beer after beer and a few shots of liquor here and there. I got a little too carried away and completely disregarded the time. One oclock started to approach and we realized that we were going to be in BIG trouble if we didn't get home. We sat there trying to figure out what we were going to do because we didn't want to have to call our grandpa. It was around 1:30 when we finally made a decision, but we never expected that, that one decision would change our lives. We knew we had to get home before my grandpa would wake up and see that we still weren't at home. So we took it upon ourselves to walk home.
