2. Characters
• The characters engaged the audience as the
antagonist was kept in low-key lighting and
was wearing dark clothing which builds
tension as this portrays her personality.
• The protagonist is presented to be happy but
the shots of the antagonist keep interfering.
This suggests that there will be conflict
between the two characters.

3. Narrative
• It involves cyber-bullying which is a thing that
takes place to millions of people. Therefore,
making it realistic and easy to identify with.
• It is like an investigation and putting all the
clues together, the audience will have to
figure out who the person harassing Alice is.

4. Camera
• The shot of the shark was shown three times
and each time it was shown it was more
zoomed in than before. This addressed the
audience as it gave a sense of mystery and
violence. We also provided a sense of
ambiguity through covering Molly’s face. This
would have attracted the audience as they
would try to find a link between the two
characters.

5. Editing
• We attracted the audience by using short
duration of shots at the end to build up
tension to keep them engaged. Moreover, the
pictures of the ‘Finding Nemo’ poster was
always before shots of Molly, which implied
that she is the ‘evil’ one.

• The sound engaged the audience as the non-
diegetic sound was eerie and mysterious
which added to the suspense and created a
tense atmosphere.
• The diegetic sound of the keyboard intrigued
the audience as they would have been trying
to figure out what the character is typing and
who they are speaking to.

• The setting for both characters were private as
they were the only ones there.
• Their facial expressions were ambiguous,
which intrigued the audience as they weren’t
sure of what the characters were feeling.
