The title sequence represents several social groups: 1) Women are often portrayed as victims of crimes, shown through the female victim being carried by a man dressed in dark colors, implying male strength and women as victims. 2) Childhood is used to create horror, shown through a child's doll used to end the sequence and create an unsettling atmosphere. 3) Mise-en-scene like the female victim dressed in white implies innocence and the unfair portrayal of women as victims of horrible crimes despite no guilt.

1. 2. How does your media product represent particular social groups? In our media product it is hard to really show how we have represented social groups as we do not really have any particular places or people featured in out title sequence. Although the title sequence does not obviously show the representation it is still there.

2. Female Representation dominant representation that women are often the victim of crimes We have shown this representation by firstly having our victim as a women, who is being carried by a large man dressed in dark again showing a dominant representation that men are strong and are often the kidnapers etc... Also we have shown that women are mostly seen as the victim by having her unconscious and no knowing what is happening around her.

3. Another way in which we have shown dominant representation is by the use of the mise-en-scene. By having the girl dressed in all white it gives the sense of innocence and purity, and really implies the feeling of women being victims of all these horrible crimes and then leading on to showing how this is not fair as often they have not done anything and are not guilty.

4. CHILDHOOD Another Representation we have included within our title sequence is the representation of childhood being used to create horror. Children are often associated with in horror as their happiness and fun can be twisted and manipulated to create something unhappy and scary. In many films now you see this use of childhood and in today’s film making it is changing from a residual ideology to a dominant ideology.

5. This play on children and children’s toys being used as scary attracts the audience more as people respond in different ways to children being used and often want to see the way they have been used therefore using this ideology can widespread the audience. In our film we have decided to follow this ideology by using a child’s doll that comes up close to the camera creating a creepy atmosphere and then we have also used this doll to draw a close to the title sequence so that is the last thing they view, which entices people to watch.
