1. Our vision
The idea of our film is a classic high school bully
suffers the consequences of their actions
however a bit more chilling than what you’d
usually expect. A girl is forced to go on a timed
treasure hunt for her boyfriend who is being
held captive in the school, throughout the hunt
she is reminded of her torment to others.
3. Brief
Complete a 2 minute introduction to a
thriller film using titles and a
soundtrack.
4. Gathering Ideas
• As a group we thought of different thriller ideas
based on what thrillers we had personally
watched, we showed this mind map to the
audience
• Audience feedback : we found the audience really
liked the ideas of mafia mob and found footage
thriller because they believe it gave them the
most thrill.
• Initially we decided we loved the idea of a mafia
mob film however it had to be adjusted to suit
our location and resources (luxury apartment,
actors, weapons, cars etc)

6. Leading to the final idea
• Character profiles
Allowed us to put our idea of a character into real
life.
someone menacing so we wanted someone that
look tall, scary and threatening.
clothes can impact the tone the film so we
wanted our antagonists to wear dark/ ragged
clothing.
• Target audience
16-17, relates to character. We found their most
preferred genre is thriller
• Audience feedback

Innocent yet looks slightly evil

9. Added
enigma of an
unknown
man. The
coincidence
of a phone
ringing paired
with eerie
music adds
suspense
As the audience
suggested we started
the film by delving
right into the lives of
the characters rather
than spending time
introducing them to
the audience
Elements of
violence which
the audience
feedback
suggested their
interested in.
10. Here we added a
popular
convention of
thriller: Shadows.
Instead of giving
away who the
tormentor is we
can drag it out to
keep the audience
watching
This shot was done to make the audience
empathize with the main character, as she gets
dizzy and disorientated so the scene, therefore
making us fear for her life.
Element of
darkness is
prominent through
the script however
here, it goes from
a bright room to
almost pitch black
to emphasize the
danger and fear
our protagonist is
in.
