Ronald Reagan Elected Governor
On November 8, 1966 California voters elected Republican candidate Ronald Reagan as the states
33rd Governor. Reagan defeated then two–term Governor, Democrat Edmund G. "Pat" Brown. This
would be the first elected political office Ronald Reagan would hold in his long public career.
Reagan would serve two terms as the Governor of California before going on to achieve greater
heights serving as a two term President. Reagan's political career began to unfold when he decided
to work on the 1964 Goldwater campaign for President. The endorsement of once presidential
nominee Barry Goldwater: A conservative Republican Senator from Arizona, culminated with
Reagan gaining national prominence with his "Time for Choosing" speech endorsing Goldwater ...

In summer of 1966 Reagan's campaign was rolling, having defeated the other republican primary
candidates. Reagan was a head of Brown in all of the polls by 15 percentage points. The Brown
camp was reeling, while the Reagan campaign transitioned seamlessly from the primary to the
general election emerging as moderate with general appeal. Brown seemingly with no alternatives
did the only thing he could which was to go negative. The governor's campaign never really unified,
attempted to paint Reagan as right wing conservative by attempting to link Reagan to the John Birch
Society, which was a radical right wing advocacy group. In addition it attempted to exploit Reagan
lack of experience in statewide office. The efforts eventually proved to be fruitless, as the Governors
constituent's would abandon the liberal Democrat for the conservative actor turned politician. In the
late fall Reagan leads in the polls were insurmountable (The Right Moment, Chapter 10). Reagan
would be flawless in the general campaign and Brown could not compete against his appeal. Unlike
four years earlier, Brown was competing against a polished figure not like the dark tragic Nixon. He
was unable to show voters he was the man for the challenges California faced in 1966 and beyond
specifically with the civil unrest and violence on campuses throughout the state. On November 8,
1966 voters spoke loudly giving

If I Were Elected As ECPS Teacher Of The Year
If I was elected as ECPS Teacher of the Year, I would communicate to my profession and the
general public that educating our youth is something that educators can't do alone. It is a must that
educators, parents and other members of the community work together. It is time that we welcome
and embrace our increasingly diverse population as part of our community. Without everyone in the
community working together, teachers and schools are incomplete and can't complete the goal
which is to educate all children. The home, the school and community must foster mutual respect
and responsibility and be fully engaged in all of our students' academic success. Everyone has to
know what we are doing, where we are going and why. We need to break

The Importance Of A New Leader Elected Or Placed At Office...
Political– There will always be a new leader elected or placed in office within the countries of the
world. Sometimes leaders clash on their beliefs on how the country should be run, including the
companies that conduct business in and with the country. Coca–Cola will have to be diligent in
remaining aware of these leaders and their agendas. Changes will come, and some will not be
beneficial to the company. The company must be aware of these changes in order to develop
strategy for operations within those countries. Otherwise, the company could find itself at a
disadvantage to competition and loose share of the market within that area. It is very possible
though, that as we are brought closer to a global community, we may see a global government begin
to form as well. With a global government we would see consistent laws and regulations regardless
of where you are in the world, making trade an easy task.
Economic – As industrial globalization further takes hold, we will see a huge change in the quality
of life for many countries that are currently in poverty and rank as 3rd world countries. As Coca–
Cola begins to set up in new markets, it will offer jobs where there were none before. This creation
of jobs for the community will not just take place within the Coca–Cola manufacturing and bottling
plants, but also be created through sourcing of local ingredients. This means more farming will be
employed for the Coca–Cola company, and the positive economic effects will

Persuasive Speech : ' Bad Officials Are The Ones Elected...

"Bad officials are the ones elected by good citizens who do not vote."–George Jean Nathan In
today's society all American Citizens of any race, ethnic background, religious belief, and sexual
orientation have the privilege to vote. What is sad about it is that they chose not vote. The power of
voting in society is a privilege that most of us take advantage of. Why is it that we complain about
having bad governors, presidents, and unwanted laws, and still chose not to vote? Do we not
understand that we do have a voice and can use it to make our lives better? At one point in time,
both men and women fought for their right to vote, because they had no voice. Was it worth the fight
if we don't utilize the privilege and opportunity that was given to us? Most minorities in the
American society such as, women, anyone who is not Caucasian, or poor did not always have the
right to vote. It took decades of constant war in order for every one to have the right to vote and
have a voice. Back in 1776 the only people who were allowed to vote were those who owned their
own land. When George Washington was elected president in 1789 only 6 percent of American
Citizens of the population were allowed to vote. In 1790 the only group of people that were allowed
to vote were citizens and citizens during this time had to be white. In the year of 1868, the 14th
amendment was passed, which meant that

The Team Development Stages Of The Elected Team Leader
In the case 7, the elected team leader, Christine, was worried that her group will not be able to do on
the assigned project, since one member of the group did not fully complete the work (Schermerhorn,
Osborn, Uhl–Bien, Hunt, 2012). In my opinion, Christine did not understand the team development
stages very well, thus she lost the control over her group. According to Shermerhorn et al. (2012),
there are 5 team development stages that each newly created team goes through: forming, storming
norming, performing and adjourning. During the initial forming stage, members of the formed team
are become acquainted with each other and discuss their strengths and weaknesses (Schermerhorn at
al., 2012). In my opinion, Christine knew a little about her teammates, since she described Diane
being a quiet, Janet reliable, Steve–business oriented and Mike as a clown (Shermerhorn et al.,
2012). However, she did not recognize that Mike's personality is different from the other group
members and did not address this issue with anybody. In the second team development stage,
storming, the newly created teams have to deal with the stress in defining their roles and
responsibilities for the tasks (Shermerhorn et al., 2012). In my opinion, Christine's team never
completed this stage. Mikes jokes were understood as being uncooperative that created tension in
the team and alienated him from the team. According to Mackin (2011), as the tension rises during
the storming stage, the participation and

A Message to the Elected Officials Essay
A Message to the Elected Officials
According to USC Section 7206, "Making false statements on a tax return is a felony risking fines
and imprisonment for up to 3 years." This statement, along with Press Secretary Gibbs' own words,
"I think they both (Kellifer and Daschle) recognize that you can't set an example of responsibility
but accept a different standard on who serves," indicate a presence acknowledged across America:
that a social contract exists between the governed and their government and it is being abrogated in
favor of the personal interests of our top elected and appointed officials and their respective political
parties.
This contract is simple: People from the general population are elected to form our ... Show more

Senator Daschle stepped down, not because he admitted to a serious infraction of the law (which
consequences include possible prison time), and not because he lacked support from the president
who had "full confidence" in him, but because public sentiment was against him. The public– not
the public servant– was attempting to maintain the integrity of contract.
The overriding and disturbing issue, here, is that a de facto legitimization of tax evasion and fraud
has gradually developed over the years irrespective of which current political party is in power. This
same level of tax evasion was sufficient to jail the likes of Scarface Al Capone. Now, it is merely
"embarrassing" and a "mistake?" The strongest concern voiced from the president, the congress or
the judiciary has come from Senator Daschle who withdrew because this issue was detracting
attention from the presidency. Not a word from the executive, legislative or judicial branch about
criminal proceedings over what is an epidemic of abrogation–if not active suborning– of our
government and its public servants. The contract is being torn up and tossed away over the very
reason it was created.
Earlier, Senator Stevens was investigated by the FBI and subsequently brought up on charges that
his "Financial Disclosure forms contained false statements and omissions." Is the FBI used for the

How We Understand The Decline?
How to understand 'decline'? It is always a question how to conceptualize something so inevitable;
as inevitable as prosperity. But of whose decline is the question? Before going deeper on the subject
matter, it becomes thus important to introduce the characters of the story and those norms that give
them substance. In this case the actors will be nations. But as nation we shall not mean the set of
those who have an imagined idea of belonging to a certain territory, customs and history (Scaritt,
2008); in this instance nation will mean a piece of an interconnected world system of other nations,
and at the same time it will mean a person's psyche, one that is embedded in a unified social system
of universal beliefs and norms. The system of nations is interconnected in a normative sense;
something that Wallerstein first developed; in his own way the world system can be envisaged as a
multicultural conglomeration in a single division of labor (Wallerstein, 2011). This singularity is the
core of the notion of interconnectedness.
The interconnectedness is normative; it cannot be debated any further! After you go to primary
school you will get an exam, then you will go to secondary school; you will pass your exam and
then you will go to university studying in depth something. And then you will start realizing that you
are either too rich and you might indulge yourself in seeking further study, or you will have to 'get a
job like everybody else'. This is not necessarily a path to

The US Legitimate Framework is a mind boggling association of Elected and State administrative

The Is The Right Person Get Elected?
Every year, in the beginning of November, Americans go out and exercise their right to vote for the
people who they think will best represent their country, state and town. In the end not everyone
running for an elected position will win, but the victor is the person who the majority wants to
represent them as a population. This idea is what we call democracy and it is what the U.S.
government is based on; or so we think. After each election, when all of the votes are counted, there
are times where the voting margin between the winner and the loser is just too close for comfort.
With the enormous population of our country and the sizable populations of our states, this only
consistently happens within local government councils and boards. When this does happen, many
people think, did the right person get elected? This discomfort is something we cannot change
because the results are what they are. However, what if this wasn't the case? What if there was a way
we could ensure that the victor of a close election was the right person for the majority? Today I
present to you a policy that will fix this problem that touches every American across our nation. This
policy is called the 5% revote policy and states that all local governments will have a revote for
town or city council members if the vote margin percentage between the victor and the runner–up is
5% votes or less. I will now show you that this problem exists and why it exists, a real example of

Evaluate the Advantages and Disadvantages of an Elected...
"The Preamble to the Parliament Act 1911 envisaged reforming the composition of the House of
Lords to create a fully–elected Chamber." To date all attempts have been unsuccessful. Explain the
difficulties entailed in reforming the composition of the Lords and evaluate the advantages and
disadvantages of an elected second chamber.
In the United Kingdom, the Upper House– the House of Lords is currently an unelected chamber. It
argues that the House itself is not democratic or representative at all and this problem has been
lasting for a century.
The Preamble of the Parliament Act 1911 says that :

Chamber constituted on a popular instead of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Parliament Acts mitigated the affront of democracy in the hands of unelected chamber and
lessen the opportunity to frustrate the will of elected chamber which is accountable to the electorate.
To make the house more democratic and representative, Life Peerages Act 1958 was passed to
transform the House of Lords. The original intention behind the legislation was to improve the
party–political balance in the House. For the first time, this Act allowed the holders of life peerages
other than those appointed as Law Lords to sit in the House. It also allowed women awarded life
peerages to sit in the House. This appointment of awards allowed the House to fill with people with
more diverse background and expertise.
To further transform the House, the Peerages Act 1963 was passed. It allowed female hereditary
peers and all members of the Scottish peerage to sit in the House. It also enabled hereditary peerages
to be disclaimed for life following the consequence of the Stansgate case of 1960–1961. The Act
allowed the individual to stand for election to the House of Commons and also entitled them to vote.
Attempts at reforming the House did not stop. It was until 1999, the government introduced the
House of Lords Act 1999, it was the first measure to abolish the voting rights of hereditary peers
including Royals and only 92 hereditary peers were exempted. This change was made by the

In The Years Before Abraham Lincoln Was Elected The Sixteenth
In the years before Abraham Lincoln was elected the sixteenth President of the United States, the
world had lived in an era that emphasized individualism, emotion, and nature. This era was called
the "Romantic era", or "Romanticism" as it is known today. Partially due to the Industrial
Revolution, men and women had become intrigued by the advances in political structures and the
rationalization of nature. This led to the rise of not only advancement in scientific endeavors and
political evolution, Romanticism helped give birth to some of the greatest literary writers who have
ever lived. From famous poets (like Lord Byron and William Blake) to renowned writers (Mary

Throughout this essay, this paper will pursue the true origins of Poe's "The Raven"–determine
whether it was created from specific periods of Poe's life or influenced by the words of other
authors' works–the publication of the poem, on any changes to the poem itself over the years, and its
use in modern poetry. The true genesis of Poe's "The Raven" has always been a little mysterious.
Some people claim that when Poe wrote the poem he was recalling the tragic moments of his life–
his mother dying when he was barely two years old, his father leaving him, his adopted (not
officially his adoptive parents) parents not supporting him to go to college, and his wife's
tuberculosis. Other people, mostly critics, have accused Poe of borrowing–plagiarizing–other
authors' works and using them for his poem. These accusations range from stealing "the bird of ill
omen whose name gives the title to the poem" from Charles Dickens's "Barnaby Rudge", "deriving
the suggestion for the adroit and forceful use he makes of the repetend" from Samuel Taylor
Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner", and the "recurring 'Nevermore' he is said to have
taken from an early poem...called 'No More'" from Alfred Tennyson. Though, according to Henry E.
Legler, author of Poe's Raven: Its Origin and Genesis, Poe was ready to combat these claims,
accusing Henry W. Longfellow of plagiarizing as well, and wrote in his book: "Certain crude
material he may have used, but it received the impress of his

The ships then sailed to the Americas to trade slaves for agricultural products – extracted by slave
labor – which were sold in Europe after the return journey. The journey between Africa and the
Americas, "The Middle Passage," could take four to six weeks, but the average lasted between two
and three months. Chained and crowded with no room to move, Africans were forced to make the
journey under terrible conditions, naked and lying in filth. Nearly a quarter of the Africans brought
to North America came from Angola, while an equal percentage, arriving later, originated in
Senegambia. Over 40 percent of Africans entered the U.S. through the port city of Charleston, South
Carolina, the center of the U.S. slave trade. Successful escapes were rare. As the country expanded
westward with acquisitions such as the 1803 Louisiana Purchase and inventions made cultivating
certain crops more profitable, the demand for slave labor increased. President Trump signed an
executive order on Friday that purports to bar for at least ninety days almost all permanent
immigration from seven majority–Muslim countries, including Syria and Iraq, and asserts the power
to extend the ban indefinitely. But the order is illegal. More than fifty years ago, Congress outlawed
such discrimination against immigrants based on national origin. That decision came after a long
and shameful history in this country of barring immigrants based on where they came from. Starting

A Democracy Is Built On The Foundation That The Citizens...
A democracy is built on the foundation that the citizens or elected officials participate in
construction of the laws under which a country is run. This can lend itself to creating an
environment where the majority rules or where those with the most influence can sway legal
decisions in their favor. On the other hand, lawyers by nature are loyal to the ideas of protocol and
structure, which serves as a natural counterbalance to democracy.
Tocqueville equated a lawyer's influence to that of an aristocratic government. In an aristocratic
government, those people considered as 'elite' or the 'most able' are given the responsibility of being
the governing body. In our culture, he believed that lawyers are considered somewhat 'elite' because
they have the advantage of being able to follow changing laws and understand precedents
significantly better than the common person. This dynamic is somewhat self–created because the
United States and England are the only countries which base their laws on precedents (legal
opinions/decisions based on the opinions/decision of their forefathers). Lawyers are also useful to all
classes of society, giving them the ability to understand the challenges of the lower classes while
being able to act as a respected peer to government officials and members of the upper classes. This
unique position often enables them to easily integrate themselves into political roles within a
democratic government.
Tocqueville did not use this comparison in a

Lower the Age Requirement for Federal Elected Officials...
The reason why young people don't vote is so obvious that it can be found in the U.S. Constitution.
The Founding Fathers, progressive and tolerant though they were, saw fit to cite age as the only
limitation to holding a federal elected office. In a document that rightly stands as a model for
modern liberal democracy, neither race nor gender nor religion nor creed were mentioned as being
relevant to the qualifications of a representative. This only serves to emphasize the degree to which
age discrimination is rooted in the American political system. From the beginning, those under 25
(the minimum age for a member of the House of Representatives) have been treated as less–than–
equal citizens, so it is no surprise or coincidence that men ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Interestingly enough, these same arguments were used against women who campaigned for the right
to vote in the early years of the twentieth century. Women did not have the "temperament" to make
important decisions, according to popular sentiment, and why should they vote if they don't own
property or have jobs? Of course, the same logic was used to defend the positioning of the voting
age at 21.
When a citizen turns 18, the law regards him or her as an independent entity, capable of voting,
paying taxes, and serving in the military. To deny this citizen the opportunity to hold federal elected
office is inconsistent and discriminatory. Voters should be the judge of a candidate's abilities and
qualifications without the government setting restrictions based on certain personal characteristics.
Now why does this kind of age discrimination affect voter turnout among young people? In the first
place, it is clear that a sense of disenfranchisement with the political system develops when citizens
cannot identify with their representatives. Part of the reason why white people over 45 vote more
often is that most candidates for political office are white and over 45. Idealistic political philosophy
often maintains that any citizen ought to be able to

Because the Americans greatly supported Roosevelt, they reelected him as president for the third
time in 1940. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, which

was a good idea because he was insuring that there were no spies in America. Later on, Roosevelt
assisted the army in making battle plans. After his death in 1945, Harry S. Truman took over his

The United States Supreme Court Justices have been appointed by the president, with consent from
the Senate, since the ratification of the constitution. Though the justices have been appointed for life
terms for the past hundreds of years, they should only be appointed for fixed amount of time. With a
fixed tenure, the justices would be less likely to become corrupt and their decision making would be

Therefore, the president is said to be the only one with the ability to determine who is best fit to be
in offices in the Constitution. Being appointed for life was deemed necessary by the Founding
Fathers as well, because they felt that the judges would need an extensive amount of time, such as a
life term, to follow the constitution. "That inflexible and uniform adherence to the rights of the
Constitution, and of individuals, which we perceive to be indispensable in the courts of justice, can
certainly not be expected from judges who hold their offices by a temporary commission. Periodical
appointments, however regulated, or by whomsoever made, would, in some way or other, be fatal to
their necessary independence." Times have changed, the general needs to have the right to appoint
the Supreme Court justices should be left to the citizens of the country, not the president. The
citizens of America should have the right to choose those that will interpret the Constitution and
make new policies that will affect everyone in the country through court cases during their term on
the bench. Those who serve on the federal judiciary bench need to be responsible for their actions
and therefor, need to answer to the citizens that would elect them.

The Representation Of Elected Board Members
On April 3rd, at 7:30 pm I went to a Town Hall meeting in Annville, PA. This representative town
meeting was led by five individuals elected by the township voters, and are known as the "Township
Commissioners". These people are Thomas Embich, Henri Lively, Rex Moore (President), Jim Scott
(Vice–President), Joann Zimmerman. The job of these elected board members is to be"responsible
for the general governance of the Township with legislative, executive, and administrative powers to
ensure sound fiscal management and secure the health, safety, and welfare of community residents."
(Administration) With this in mind, the board was able to successfully go through and cover all
topics listed on the agenda in an organized fashion with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I feel like Section 2:Reports of Special Committees went by at a really fast pace. We flew by a lot of
the topics brought up such as Part A:Executive Sessions, Part B: Planning Commissions, and Part
C:Economic Development. One topic that was given a little more attention was Part H:Stormwater
Management. It is going to need a two step process, the processes referred to last meeting. Worst
case scenario Annville pays $83463.63 per year for 5 years to renew 10% of the settlements on the
creek and chesapeake bay to keep them clean. Everyone was in favor of the two step process. From
this topic and others in this particular section I felt like the board really trusted their own judgement
which is an important quality to have as an individual in their position. They even had the courtesy
of turning to us and informing us on the exact amount of money that we would need to spend in
stormwater management if there was to be a huge problem. I appreciated that because a town hall
meeting if not only for the representatives, it's for the community to stay informed as well. In
Section 3:Old Business, there were only three parts, but we ended up spending the most time on this
section. Specifically on Part B:Sharrows which are Travel lane shared by motor vehicles and
bicycles. Henri Lively and Joann Zimmerman in particular had very strong feelings about
Sharrows.Lively felt as if there just wasn't enough room.He was concerned about how narrow our

Summary
With our newly elected president in the White House and trying to make big changes and show
America he meant what he was campaigning Trump seems to be make huge budget cuts to many
areas of our country. While on the other hand he is giving additional funding to some areas too. Of
the many areas that the budget is being cut education, the Environmental Protection Agency, the
State department, health and human services, transportation, and the list goes on and on. Of those
the two major ones that stand out are the Environmental Protection Agency, which is being slashed
by almost thirty–two percent and the State department being cut by nearly twenty–nine percent

With this increase in government spending on defense gear and construction materials it will cause a
multiplier effect because in order for those products to be made they will need other companies to
do parts of the process. There would be an increase in those goods being bought so you would need
more of the supplies to make them and more employees, which is how the multiplier effect works.
The increase in government spending for these two areas (fiscal policy) would make the aggregate
demand curve shift to the right (Diagram 1). This increase in government spending also causes price
level and the gross domestic product (GDP) to increase and an inflationary gap will be created due
to this increase (Diagram 2) as long as we're at equilibrium with the long run aggregate supply
(LRAS), short run aggregate supply (SRAS), and aggregate demand (AD). However, with the cuts
in so many other areas this will decrease government spending dealing with each of them.
Completely counteracting every bit of growth from increasing spending in defense and immigration
enforcement. Since, President Trump is cutting education, the Environmental Protection Agency,
transportation, and more every thing dealing with those areas will also cut back in spending to stay
on budget. These decreases in government spending causes a multiplier effect as well, but not how
we want it. It's taking away from

The United States Of America Elected A New President Essay
On November 9, 2016 the United States of America elected a new president. Donald J. Trump won
the Electoral College and will take office on January 20, 2017. However, the president elect lost the
popular vote by more than 1.5 million votes (MSNBC, 2016). Although this was already the case
when George W. Bush won against Al Gore in 2000, the country is now more dividend than in the
past. One week after the election was over, 1000 students at Syracuse University protested against
Mr. Trump and declared that they "reject" the president elect (Daily Orange, 2016). Nationwide,
protesters conveyed the unique message that they are ready to disobey executive actions of a Trump
administration. This poses a general question. What role should obedience play in modern western
nations? Although autonomous obedience can unleash valuable group dynamics, extreme
compulsory obedience can lead to disastrous outcomes. History indicates that obedience in the
context of a nation is most successful when people see substantial reasons to obey the orders of a
government and its subdivisions. During World War II the American military defeated fascism on
various geographical fronts. Although it was not mandatory to serve in the US military, many
volunteers were ready to fight for American values like individual freedom and democracy. This
created what Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth H. Wenker calls autonomous obedience (Walker, 1981).

Running For Elected Official Essay
Running For Elected Official
What does it take to be an elected official of the United States? Becoming an elected official that
helps run our United States government can be overwhelming: trying to keep everything in order to
keep everyone pleased with how everything is functioning in the government. It takes a lot of
political courage, and the willingness to go through all of the judgment from society while trying to
pursue greatness for the United States. There have been political figures who have shaped our nation
into what it is today by sticking with their plans and not caring what society would think of them.
John McCain was one of those political figures when he tried to run for President in the 2000
presidential campaign. Through his statements and political beliefs, it is clear that courage is
overcoming any obstacle that may come standing up in what you believe is better for society.
After retiring from the Navy in 1981, he moved to Arizona where he entered into politics and was
elected by U.S., House of Representatives in 1982. He served two terms, ... Show more content on

to be a political star in the first place. They state that John McCain had waded straight into the
hottest controversy in South Carolina, not long before his crucial primary showdown with George
W. Bush, by offering his unvarnished opinion on whether the Confederate battle flag––– the Stars

For this assignment, I will outline the responsibilities of the various levels of government and
elected bodies by providing information of local, national and European government. In my
assignment, I will also include some hierarchical diagrams.
Everything we do or decide is influenced by politics. In the UK, there are many different levels of
Government that have an impact on our lives. One of these levels is the European Union. The three
main EU Institution are the European Commission, which promotes the common interest and the
current president of the European Commission is Jose Manuel Barroso; the European Council and
the Council, which is the voice of the Members States and the current president of the European
Council is Herman Van Rompuy; the European Parliament that although is not part of the UK levels
of government, it has a significant impact on European Union citizens. The European Parliament,
together with the Council, debates and passes European laws and adopts the EU's budget. The
European Parliament has 736 members who represents all 27 members' states of the EU. Its main
role is to delegate legislation on issues such as transport, environment, equal opportunities and

George Washington was the first President of the United States. He was elected on April 30, 1789
Washington had the respect of everyone. Washington had many intriguing qualities. An example
would be his quality of concern for his men. Throughout the Revolutionary War, Washington lost
many of the battles, but he chose to lose them, rather than to win and risk all of his men's lives. He
made tactical retreats to save his men. George Washington, our first President, won over the hearts
and earned the respect of the people of the United States because of his strong character, and not
because of his political genius. In fact he never even went to college, due to lack of money.

Apart from being recognized by different kinds of peoples, one could tell that Washington really was
devoted into developing a new, stable, and prosperous country. In a few excerpts from documents
Washington wrote himself, a few examples of this can be found. In one document, he wrote about
how every action he took in his office, he did to help achieve the consent of the people. His way of
taking action is to not care too much about how it might affect himself personally, or maybe just the
area around, and to not care about limited or biased solutions. Instead, he wants to take action in
matters that are significant and ever–lasting to the United States. In another document, he wrote
about how he wants all citizens to be good ones, help keep up the principles of the Constitution, and
to keep the States' independence from any attacking force. This shows that from the bottom of his
heart, he truly wanted a perfect nation, one that he founded.
George Washington was the first President of the United States who earned everyone's respect due
to his appealing qualities, and not sue to any political background. In fact, he was the only President
in the History of the United States who was unanimously chosen to hold that position. This was the
also the case when he ran for a second term. This definitely says something to express even more
how well respected he was. He had the respect of major people, and people who weren't considered

Compare And Contrast Iroquois Constitution And Us...
America is considered to have two constitutions, the modern one used today, and the old
constitution it was based off of. The Constitution of the Iroquois is the basic structure of the present
American Constitution. Though the Iroquois Constitution is the base US Constitution they are very
different. The Iroquois Constitution is older, with older values and writing style. Even though the
present American Constitution is not modernized to today's exact principles, it still contains the ideal
values the United States is known for.
Overall, "royal" rulings from the multiple tribe leaders and the fact that elected councilmen or

Constitution because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the modern day American Constitution it states in different sections, all elected to take up office
or council, the power of one can do is limited.
In the Iroquois Constitution the council of chiefs have unlimited power. They have overrule of all,
even to those elected to be part of council and "president." Though there is one law said to be given
to them by God that all must abide by, one can not lie. If anyone, especially one of power such as an
elected official, is caught in a lie they are stripped of all power by the Chiefs. It is uncertain of the
consequences to the chiefs, if they are caught in a lie.
The US Constitution is relevant to all those living, or citizens to, in the United States. Despite the
constitution being for all, there are age limits to those running for office or council. It is established
this way to prevent those who do not have the life experience, or are naive to hold office or council.
This rule in the US Constitution contrasts to the old constitution because the Iroquois Constitution
does not have a known written age limit. It suggests that anyone who is elected can be of power.
This fact lead to a comparison to the two constitutions, both have the people of power elected by
people to which belong to the nation(s). Both of them hold another similarity the two constitutions
both have an elected "president" to unite the nation(s). Though the Iroquois elected president is
elected to unite the five nations, instead of the country like the US

How Can More Women be Elected in Canada?
Canada is identified for its sincere generosity that has presented its entire people the privileges to
deliberate themselves in several methods. When relating to more unlucky nations, Canada has
obtained the Canadian women the chance and freedom to select whichever profession of their
choice. Yet, due to societal customs, women typically acknowledge conflicts, that are depressingly
estimated upon by the society and are not clearly recognized into careers that are well thought out as
men–orientated. Social customs existing in the Canadian culture, generated obstacles in the society
of what professions are customary for women and what careers are recognized for men, which
makes a key matter of woman acknowledgment in the political parties. Canada overpowers a
succession of debatable subjects concerning femininity correspondence, which directed Canadian
culture to improve their opinions. As civilization's interpretations rationalized, it carried numerous
optimistic modifications concerning gender societal means through the years, such as the
recognition of women to participate in the political parties.. Although, in Canadian politics, it is
often seen the lack of contribution women make to the political community. Even though, women

Senators should be Elected "When they call the roll in the Senate, the senators do not know whether

important role in the Canadian government. Canada's Senate today is made up of a variety of
backgrounds such as different cultures and religions. It also includes both men and women. The
Senate looks at the different issues that individuals or groups might have. They look at the children,
veterans, the poor, the elderly and much more. Senators look at issues in more depth. When the

the Senate are all established by the Prime minister. This system has been going on for many years

freedom to take as much time needed to study the bill but sometimes senators take advantages of
that by not spending enough time on the bill and by not doing the best work. If senators get elected
they would be representing the people which means have bigger responsibilities toward the people.
Senators would want to do really good and work more efficiently because they would want to be

Administrative Oversight
In 1946, the 79th Congress of the United States approved the Administrative Procedure Act. This act
like many others approved by Congress has established the modern administrative agency oversight
currently in place. This system of administrative review is a triumph of the American government in
which citizens hold the elected accountable who review appointed officials within agencies.
However, the process of administrative review is plagued with inefficiencies and delayed action.
Congress regularly establishes new laws and regulations which are associated with stretched out
implementation and complicated provisions. Just consider the fact that the National Health Law
Program which promotes healthcare reform and the reduction in disparities add over 1,563 new
statutory requirements. These requirements require the federal government to establish and fund
additional agency oversight. Today's administrative oversight in Congress is separated into different
committees which poses the authority to review and audit programs under their jurisdiction.

The Debate On The House Of Lords
The prospect for change in the House of lords has been an endless debate in British politics. The
structure of the Chamber has bought about a significant argument for a transformative change in its
composition. The upper chamber has already experienced some reformations over the last 100 years,
including the Life Peerages Act (1958) and the Lords Act of 1999. The Lords Act reduced the
number of hereditary peers to 92 members. This was seen as a significant amendment but academics
claim a greater change is needed to establish a more democratic and effective body (Seidle, 2003).
Brazier argues the House of Lords continues to be "unelected, unrepresentative and unaccountable"
(2008, p. 66). The current composition of the Lords consists of mostly appointed peers, known as
life peers, whom are appointed by the Prime Minister. There are currently 707 life peers and 88
hereditary peers. Most importantly, the chamber includes only 26 bishops which remain the only
elected members (Parliament UK (2015). This significant proportion suggests the necessity for
reforming the composition of the Lords. This essay will assess the merits of switching to a fully–
elected House of Lords. I will use the elected U.S. Senate to assess whether a fully–elected upper
house would be an effective reform. The Conservative–Liberal Democrat coalition in 2010 agreed
"to bring forward proposals for a wholly or mainly elected upper chamber on the basis of
proportional representation" (Russell, 2013, p. 265).

Ronald Reagan Elected Governor

  • 1. Ronald Reagan Elected Governor On November 8, 1966 California voters elected Republican candidate Ronald Reagan as the states 33rd Governor. Reagan defeated then two–term Governor, Democrat Edmund G. "Pat" Brown. This would be the first elected political office Ronald Reagan would hold in his long public career. Reagan would serve two terms as the Governor of California before going on to achieve greater heights serving as a two term President. Reagan's political career began to unfold when he decided to work on the 1964 Goldwater campaign for President. The endorsement of once presidential nominee Barry Goldwater: A conservative Republican Senator from Arizona, culminated with Reagan gaining national prominence with his "Time for Choosing" speech endorsing Goldwater ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In summer of 1966 Reagan's campaign was rolling, having defeated the other republican primary candidates. Reagan was a head of Brown in all of the polls by 15 percentage points. The Brown camp was reeling, while the Reagan campaign transitioned seamlessly from the primary to the general election emerging as moderate with general appeal. Brown seemingly with no alternatives did the only thing he could which was to go negative. The governor's campaign never really unified, attempted to paint Reagan as right wing conservative by attempting to link Reagan to the John Birch Society, which was a radical right wing advocacy group. In addition it attempted to exploit Reagan lack of experience in statewide office. The efforts eventually proved to be fruitless, as the Governors constituent's would abandon the liberal Democrat for the conservative actor turned politician. In the late fall Reagan leads in the polls were insurmountable (The Right Moment, Chapter 10). Reagan would be flawless in the general campaign and Brown could not compete against his appeal. Unlike four years earlier, Brown was competing against a polished figure not like the dark tragic Nixon. He was unable to show voters he was the man for the challenges California faced in 1966 and beyond specifically with the civil unrest and violence on campuses throughout the state. On November 8, 1966 voters spoke loudly giving ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. If I Were Elected As ECPS Teacher Of The Year If I was elected as ECPS Teacher of the Year, I would communicate to my profession and the general public that educating our youth is something that educators can't do alone. It is a must that educators, parents and other members of the community work together. It is time that we welcome and embrace our increasingly diverse population as part of our community. Without everyone in the community working together, teachers and schools are incomplete and can't complete the goal which is to educate all children. The home, the school and community must foster mutual respect and responsibility and be fully engaged in all of our students' academic success. Everyone has to know what we are doing, where we are going and why. We need to break ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Importance Of A New Leader Elected Or Placed At Office... Political– There will always be a new leader elected or placed in office within the countries of the world. Sometimes leaders clash on their beliefs on how the country should be run, including the companies that conduct business in and with the country. Coca–Cola will have to be diligent in remaining aware of these leaders and their agendas. Changes will come, and some will not be beneficial to the company. The company must be aware of these changes in order to develop strategy for operations within those countries. Otherwise, the company could find itself at a disadvantage to competition and loose share of the market within that area. It is very possible though, that as we are brought closer to a global community, we may see a global government begin to form as well. With a global government we would see consistent laws and regulations regardless of where you are in the world, making trade an easy task. Economic – As industrial globalization further takes hold, we will see a huge change in the quality of life for many countries that are currently in poverty and rank as 3rd world countries. As Coca– Cola begins to set up in new markets, it will offer jobs where there were none before. This creation of jobs for the community will not just take place within the Coca–Cola manufacturing and bottling plants, but also be created through sourcing of local ingredients. This means more farming will be employed for the Coca–Cola company, and the positive economic effects will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Persuasive Speech : ' Bad Officials Are The Ones Elected... Kisha Williams Professor Delaney English 1B 10a–12: 15p T/TH Wasted Voices "Bad officials are the ones elected by good citizens who do not vote."–George Jean Nathan In today's society all American Citizens of any race, ethnic background, religious belief, and sexual orientation have the privilege to vote. What is sad about it is that they chose not vote. The power of voting in society is a privilege that most of us take advantage of. Why is it that we complain about having bad governors, presidents, and unwanted laws, and still chose not to vote? Do we not understand that we do have a voice and can use it to make our lives better? At one point in time, both men and women fought for their right to vote, because they had no voice. Was it worth the fight if we don't utilize the privilege and opportunity that was given to us? Most minorities in the American society such as, women, anyone who is not Caucasian, or poor did not always have the right to vote. It took decades of constant war in order for every one to have the right to vote and have a voice. Back in 1776 the only people who were allowed to vote were those who owned their own land. When George Washington was elected president in 1789 only 6 percent of American Citizens of the population were allowed to vote. In 1790 the only group of people that were allowed to vote were citizens and citizens during this time had to be white. In the year of 1868, the 14th amendment was passed, which meant that ... • 11. The Team Development Stages Of The Elected Team Leader In the case 7, the elected team leader, Christine, was worried that her group will not be able to do on the assigned project, since one member of the group did not fully complete the work (Schermerhorn, Osborn, Uhl–Bien, Hunt, 2012). In my opinion, Christine did not understand the team development stages very well, thus she lost the control over her group. According to Shermerhorn et al. (2012), there are 5 team development stages that each newly created team goes through: forming, storming norming, performing and adjourning. During the initial forming stage, members of the formed team are become acquainted with each other and discuss their strengths and weaknesses (Schermerhorn at al., 2012). In my opinion, Christine knew a little about her teammates, since she described Diane being a quiet, Janet reliable, Steve–business oriented and Mike as a clown (Shermerhorn et al., 2012). However, she did not recognize that Mike's personality is different from the other group members and did not address this issue with anybody. In the second team development stage, storming, the newly created teams have to deal with the stress in defining their roles and responsibilities for the tasks (Shermerhorn et al., 2012). In my opinion, Christine's team never completed this stage. Mikes jokes were understood as being uncooperative that created tension in the team and alienated him from the team. According to Mackin (2011), as the tension rises during the storming stage, the participation and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. A Message to the Elected Officials Essay A Message to the Elected Officials According to USC Section 7206, "Making false statements on a tax return is a felony risking fines and imprisonment for up to 3 years." This statement, along with Press Secretary Gibbs' own words, "I think they both (Kellifer and Daschle) recognize that you can't set an example of responsibility but accept a different standard on who serves," indicate a presence acknowledged across America: that a social contract exists between the governed and their government and it is being abrogated in favor of the personal interests of our top elected and appointed officials and their respective political parties. This contract is simple: People from the general population are elected to form our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Senator Daschle stepped down, not because he admitted to a serious infraction of the law (which consequences include possible prison time), and not because he lacked support from the president who had "full confidence" in him, but because public sentiment was against him. The public– not the public servant– was attempting to maintain the integrity of contract. The overriding and disturbing issue, here, is that a de facto legitimization of tax evasion and fraud has gradually developed over the years irrespective of which current political party is in power. This same level of tax evasion was sufficient to jail the likes of Scarface Al Capone. Now, it is merely "embarrassing" and a "mistake?" The strongest concern voiced from the president, the congress or the judiciary has come from Senator Daschle who withdrew because this issue was detracting attention from the presidency. Not a word from the executive, legislative or judicial branch about criminal proceedings over what is an epidemic of abrogation–if not active suborning– of our government and its public servants. The contract is being torn up and tossed away over the very reason it was created. Earlier, Senator Stevens was investigated by the FBI and subsequently brought up on charges that his "Financial Disclosure forms contained false statements and omissions." • 15. How We Understand The Decline? How to understand 'decline'? It is always a question how to conceptualize something so inevitable; as inevitable as prosperity. But of whose decline is the question? Before going deeper on the subject matter, it becomes thus important to introduce the characters of the story and those norms that give them substance. In this case the actors will be nations. But as nation we shall not mean the set of those who have an imagined idea of belonging to a certain territory, customs and history (Scaritt, 2008); in this instance nation will mean a piece of an interconnected world system of other nations, and at the same time it will mean a person's psyche, one that is embedded in a unified social system of universal beliefs and norms. The system of nations is interconnected in a normative sense; something that Wallerstein first developed; in his own way the world system can be envisaged as a multicultural conglomeration in a single division of labor (Wallerstein, 2011). This singularity is the core of the notion of interconnectedness. The interconnectedness is normative; it cannot be debated any further! After you go to primary school you will get an exam, then you will go to secondary school; you will pass your exam and then you will go to university studying in depth something. And then you will start realizing that you are either too rich and you might indulge yourself in seeking further study, or you will have to 'get a job like everybody else'. This is not necessarily a path to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 21. The Is The Right Person Get Elected? Every year, in the beginning of November, Americans go out and exercise their right to vote for the people who they think will best represent their country, state and town. In the end not everyone running for an elected position will win, but the victor is the person who the majority wants to represent them as a population. This idea is what we call democracy and it is what the U.S. government is based on; or so we think. After each election, when all of the votes are counted, there are times where the voting margin between the winner and the loser is just too close for comfort. With the enormous population of our country and the sizable populations of our states, this only consistently happens within local government councils and boards. When this does happen, many people think, did the right person get elected? This discomfort is something we cannot change because the results are what they are. However, what if this wasn't the case? What if there was a way we could ensure that the victor of a close election was the right person for the majority? Today I present to you a policy that will fix this problem that touches every American across our nation. This policy is called the 5% revote policy and states that all local governments will have a revote for town or city council members if the vote margin percentage between the victor and the runner–up is 5% votes or less. I will now show you that this problem exists and why it exists, a real example of this problem and what you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. Evaluate the Advantages and Disadvantages of an Elected... "The Preamble to the Parliament Act 1911 envisaged reforming the composition of the House of Lords to create a fully–elected Chamber." To date all attempts have been unsuccessful. Explain the difficulties entailed in reforming the composition of the Lords and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of an elected second chamber. In the United Kingdom, the Upper House– the House of Lords is currently an unelected chamber. It argues that the House itself is not democratic or representative at all and this problem has been lasting for a century. The Preamble of the Parliament Act 1911 says that : "... whereas it is intended to substitute for the House of Lords as it at present exists a Second Chamber constituted on a popular instead of a ... The Parliament Acts mitigated the affront of democracy in the hands of unelected chamber and lessen the opportunity to frustrate the will of elected chamber which is accountable to the electorate. To make the house more democratic and representative, Life Peerages Act 1958 was passed to transform the House of Lords. The original intention behind the legislation was to improve the party–political balance in the House. For the first time, this Act allowed the holders of life peerages other than those appointed as Law Lords to sit in the House. It also allowed women awarded life peerages to sit in the House. This appointment of awards allowed the House to fill with people with more diverse background and expertise. To further transform the House, the Peerages Act 1963 was passed. It allowed female hereditary peers and all members of the Scottish peerage to sit in the House. It also enabled hereditary peerages to be disclaimed for life following the consequence of the Stansgate case of 1960–1961. The Act allowed the individual to stand for election to the House of Commons and also entitled them to vote. Attempts at reforming the House did not stop. In The Years Before Abraham Lincoln Was Elected The Sixteenth In the years before Abraham Lincoln was elected the sixteenth President of the United States, the world had lived in an era that emphasized individualism, emotion, and nature. This era was called the "Romantic era", or "Romanticism" as it is known today. Partially due to the Industrial Revolution, men and women had become intrigued by the advances in political structures and the rationalization of nature. Throughout this essay, this paper will pursue the true origins of Poe's "The Raven"–determine whether it was created from specific periods of Poe's life or influenced by the words of other authors' works–the publication of the poem, on any changes to the poem itself over the years, and its use in modern poetry. The true genesis of Poe's "The Raven" has always been a little mysterious. Some people claim that when Poe wrote the poem he was recalling the tragic moments of his life– his mother dying when he was barely two years old, his father leaving him, his adopted (not officially his adoptive parents) parents not supporting him to go to college, and his wife's tuberculosis. Other people, mostly critics, have accused Poe of borrowing–plagiarizing–other authors' works and using them for his poem. These accusations range from stealing "the bird of ill omen whose name gives the title to the poem" from Charles Dickens's "Barnaby Rudge", "deriving the suggestion for the adroit and forceful use he makes of the repetend" from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner", and the "recurring 'Nevermore' he is said to have taken from an early poem...called 'No More'" from Alfred Tennyson. Though, according to Henry E. Legler, author of Poe's Raven: Its Origin and Genesis, Poe was ready to combat these claims, accusing Henry W. Longfellow of plagiarizing as well, and wrote in his book: "Certain crude material he may have used, but it received the impress of his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Majority of his votes spawned from uneducated white males who see the world through an extremely tiny keyhole. Christopher Columbus and his people came to America and slaughter so many Native Americans on their sacred land. White people even brought African people as slaves to America unwillingly to be their personal punching bags. White people are the real immigrants. The ships then sailed to the Americas to trade slaves for agricultural products – extracted by slave labor – which were sold in Europe after the return journey. The journey between Africa and the Americas, "The Middle Passage," could take four to six weeks, but the average lasted between two and three months. Chained and crowded with no room to move, Africans were forced to make the journey under terrible conditions, naked and lying in filth. Nearly a quarter of the Africans brought to North America came from Angola, while an equal percentage, arriving later, originated in Senegambia. Over 40 percent of Africans entered the U.S. through the port city of Charleston, South Carolina, the center of the U.S. slave trade. Successful escapes were rare. As the country expanded westward with acquisitions such as the 1803 Louisiana Purchase and inventions made cultivating certain crops more profitable, the demand for slave labor increased. President Trump signed an executive order on Friday that purports to bar for at least ninety days almost all permanent immigration from seven majority–Muslim countries, including Syria and Iraq, and asserts the power to extend the ban indefinitely. But the order is illegal. More than fifty years ago, Congress outlawed such discrimination against immigrants based on national origin. • 31. A Democracy Is Built On The Foundation That The Citizens... A democracy is built on the foundation that the citizens or elected officials participate in construction of the laws under which a country is run. This can lend itself to creating an environment where the majority rules or where those with the most influence can sway legal decisions in their favor. On the other hand, lawyers by nature are loyal to the ideas of protocol and structure, which serves as a natural counterbalance to democracy. Tocqueville equated a lawyer's influence to that of an aristocratic government. In an aristocratic government, those people considered as 'elite' or the 'most able' are given the responsibility of being the governing body. In our culture, he believed that lawyers are considered somewhat 'elite' because they have the advantage of being able to follow changing laws and understand precedents significantly better than the common person. This dynamic is somewhat self–created because the United States and England are the only countries which base their laws on precedents (legal opinions/decisions based on the opinions/decision of their forefathers). Lawyers are also useful to all classes of society, giving them the ability to understand the challenges of the lower classes while being able to act as a respected peer to government officials and members of the upper classes. This unique position often enables them to easily integrate themselves into political roles within a democratic government. Tocqueville did not use this comparison in a ... • 35. Lower the Age Requirement for Federal Elected Officials... The reason why young people don't vote is so obvious that it can be found in the U.S. Constitution. The Founding Fathers, progressive and tolerant though they were, saw fit to cite age as the only limitation to holding a federal elected office. In a document that rightly stands as a model for modern liberal democracy, neither race nor gender nor religion nor creed were mentioned as being relevant to the qualifications of a representative. This only serves to emphasize the degree to which age discrimination is rooted in the American political system. From the beginning, those under 25 (the minimum age for a member of the House of Representatives) have been treated as less–than– equal citizens, so it is no surprise or coincidence that men ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Interestingly enough, these same arguments were used against women who campaigned for the right to vote in the early years of the twentieth century. Women did not have the "temperament" to make important decisions, according to popular sentiment, and why should they vote if they don't own property or have jobs? Of course, the same logic was used to defend the positioning of the voting age at 21. When a citizen turns 18, the law regards him or her as an independent entity, capable of voting, paying taxes, and serving in the military. To deny this citizen the opportunity to hold federal elected office is inconsistent and discriminatory. Voters should be the judge of a candidate's abilities and qualifications without the government setting restrictions based on certain personal characteristics. Now why does this kind of age discrimination affect voter turnout among young people? In the first place, it is clear that a sense of disenfranchisement with the political system develops when citizens cannot identify with their representatives. Part of the reason why white people over 45 vote more often is that most candidates for political office are white and over 45. Trump won the Electoral College and will take office on January 20, 2017. However, the president elect lost the popular vote by more than 1.5 million votes (MSNBC, 2016). Although this was already the case when George W. Bush won against Al Gore in 2000, the country is now more dividend than in the past. One week after the election was over, 1000 students at Syracuse University protested against Mr. Trump and declared that they "reject" the president elect (Daily Orange, 2016). Nationwide, protesters conveyed the unique message that they are ready to disobey executive actions of a Trump administration. This poses a general question. What role should obedience play in modern western nations? Although autonomous obedience can unleash valuable group dynamics, extreme compulsory obedience can lead to disastrous outcomes. History indicates that obedience in the context of a nation is most successful when people see substantial reasons to obey the orders of a government and its subdivisions. During World War II the American military defeated fascism on various geographical fronts. Although it was not mandatory to serve in the US military, many volunteers were ready to fight for American values like individual freedom and democracy. This created what Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth H. Wenker calls autonomous obedience (Walker, 1981). According to the Professor of Philosophy at the US Air–Force Academy, ... • 65. Compare And Contrast Iroquois Constitution And Us... America is considered to have two constitutions, the modern one used today, and the old constitution it was based off of. The Constitution of the Iroquois is the basic structure of the present American Constitution. Though the Iroquois Constitution is the base US Constitution they are very different. The Iroquois Constitution is older, with older values and writing style. Even though the present American Constitution is not modernized to today's exact principles, it still contains the ideal values the United States is known for. Overall, "royal" rulings from the multiple tribe leaders and the fact that elected councilmen or officials can be stripped of all power if they lie in the Iroquois Constitution contrasts to the US Constitution because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the modern day American Constitution it states in different sections, all elected to take up office or council, the power of one can do is limited. In the Iroquois Constitution the council of chiefs have unlimited power. They have overrule of all, even to those elected to be part of council and "president." Though there is one law said to be given to them by God that all must abide by, one can not lie. If anyone, especially one of power such as an elected official, is caught in a lie they are stripped of all power by the Chiefs. It is uncertain of the consequences to the chiefs, if they are caught in a lie. The US Constitution is relevant to all those living, or citizens to, in the United States. Despite the constitution being for all, there are age limits to those running for office or council. It is established this way to prevent those who do not have the life experience, or are naive to hold office or council. This rule in the US Constitution contrasts to the old constitution because the Iroquois Constitution does not have a known written age limit. It suggests that anyone who is elected can be of power. This fact lead to a comparison to the two constitutions, both have the people of power elected by people to which belong to the nation(s). Both of them hold another similarity the two constitutions both have an elected "president" to unite the nation(s). Though the Iroquois elected president is elected to unite the five nations, instead of the country like the US ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When relating to more unlucky nations, Canada has obtained the Canadian women the chance and freedom to select whichever profession of their choice. Yet, due to societal customs, women typically acknowledge conflicts, that are depressingly estimated upon by the society and are not clearly recognized into careers that are well thought out as men–orientated. Social customs existing in the Canadian culture, generated obstacles in the society of what professions are customary for women and what careers are recognized for men, which makes a key matter of woman acknowledgment in the political parties. It also includes both men and women. The Senate looks at the different issues that individuals or groups might have. They look at the children, veterans, the poor, the elderly and much more. In the Senate, there is no time limit for when the bill is do which gives senators the freedom to take as much time needed to study the bill but sometimes senators take advantages of that by not spending enough time on the bill and by not doing the best work. • 71. How To Be Elected For President If I was elected for president, I would make many good changes. These changes include things like giving out awards to people who get principal scholars, presidential fitness award, etc. I would also give speeches about how to make the school better, congratulate the people who achieve something in sports, and I would have fundraisers to invest in audio recording cameras. I would elect hallway monitors to make sure that everyone is getting to their next class, and getting the supplies they need. I'd also go to each wing and give students surveys, depending on grade levels to see what the students prefer for their learning environment. I will then have meetings with all of the teachers from each wing to talk about how they can use different ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 73. Administrative Oversight In 1946, the 79th Congress of the United States approved the Administrative Procedure Act. This act like many others approved by Congress has established the modern administrative agency oversight currently in place. This system of administrative review is a triumph of the American government in which citizens hold the elected accountable who review appointed officials within agencies. However, the process of administrative review is plagued with inefficiencies and delayed action. Congress regularly establishes new laws and regulations which are associated with stretched out implementation and complicated provisions. Just consider the fact that the National Health Law Program which promotes healthcare reform and the reduction in disparities add over 1,563 new statutory requirements. These requirements require the federal government to establish and fund additional agency oversight. Today's administrative oversight in Congress is separated into different committees which poses the authority to review and audit programs under their jurisdiction. Citizens, have the role of keep both the government and the elected accountable for this process. It is important to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 75. The Debate On The House Of Lords The prospect for change in the House of lords has been an endless debate in British politics. The structure of the Chamber has bought about a significant argument for a transformative change in its composition. The upper chamber has already experienced some reformations over the last 100 years, including the Life Peerages Act (1958) and the Lords Act of 1999. The Lords Act reduced the number of hereditary peers to 92 members. This was seen as a significant amendment but academics claim a greater change is needed to establish a more democratic and effective body (Seidle, 2003). Brazier argues the House of Lords continues to be "unelected, unrepresentative and unaccountable" (2008, p. 66). The current composition of the Lords consists of mostly appointed peers, known as life peers, whom are appointed by the Prime Minister. There are currently 707 life peers and 88 hereditary peers. Most importantly, the chamber includes only 26 bishops which remain the only elected members (Parliament UK (2015). This significant proportion suggests the necessity for reforming the composition of the Lords. This essay will assess the merits of switching to a fully– elected House of Lords. I will use the elected U.S. Senate to assess whether a fully–elected upper house would be an effective reform. The Conservative–Liberal Democrat coalition in 2010 agreed "to bring forward proposals for a wholly or mainly elected upper chamber on the basis of proportional representation" (Russell, 2013, p. 265). ...
