MECHANICS and Power-ups
The mechanics of our game are very simple, we have a double jump
action only so you cannot jump off the screen, this will make the
player think about when they should jump from platform to platform
as the only limited amount of jumps they have also, they have
unlimited amounts of bullets, but they can only go up to a certain
point in the game until they get destroyed. This relates to our players
actions by being able to concentrate on when to shoot, and when to
jump at the correct moment, otherwise the player would fall of the
platform and die. The mechanics we used were simple, key operated,
- space to Jump, – return to shoot,
The ninjas were destroyable but if you jumped onto him or touched
him then you would die or if the ninja star hits you, you destroy them
by being able to shoot them with your gun and gaining 25 points
each time.
If we was to have power-ups in our game, they would be consumed
by the points you earn for each run you do, with these points you
would earn all sort of things like weapon upgrades, life, and points
upgrade per level. The benefits of collecting this would be so you can
last in level longer and also gain extra points quicker also to have the
best weapons/upgrades and maximum amount of life’s possible to
have.
