2. Although, I was given the option to take all of my photographs at
Sunderland University, I didn't want all of my photos to look the same or
in the same area. I decided to use the studio for my formal images only, as
I also felt using all studio images would put a wall between the readers and
the magazine company, due to it them not really fitting my genre correctly.
However, I still aim to produce high quality and professional looking images,
therefore I have chosen three popular, well-known and unique locations for my
Photoshoots. All of my locations are fun or well known by my target audience,
therefore this makes these locations relatable for my specific audience.
3. Newcastle O2 Academy
I have chosen to use this venue as one of my locations
for my photoshoot because it has a lively and positive
setting. This location would engage my target audience
well, as it is quite a popular location and fits in well
with my Punk/Rock genre.
Also I feel I would be ale to produce high quality photos
at this location because of the various different lighting
options and the layout of this venue works quite well.
Most of the concerts/ gigs that are held in this specific
venue are mainly rock or alternative music based which
fits my genre perfectly.
4. Sunderland University Studio
The studio will make my photographs look more
professional and high quality due to me being able to
control the lighting equipment and camera angles better,
than outside, which is why I feel it is the right choice for
my more formal images to be taken here. The studio in
Sunderland University is easily accessible for both me and
my models.
5. Under A Tunnel –Newcastle)
While this location is definitely more unprofessional, but
the older brickwork and darker lighting would make a
good background for my models, and it would be more
interesting than the plain studio backgrounds.
However, this location is not as accessible as Sunderland
University due to the distance and travel costs for both
my models and I.
