This is the final part of my research for my regional magazine of the genre Lifestyle and Fashion. My magazine is called Abstract as I have said in a previous blog post.
2. Magazine
◦ I have stated in my Audience Research Evaluation post that I am going to have a colour
scheme of red and black. I am sticking with this colour scheme idea because it fits in perfectly
with the punk fashion style. I am also happy with my magazine company title of Abstract. For
the front cover I will be using one model who will also feature on the double page spread as well
as some parts on the billboard and the website.
◦ In the contents page I will be using a couple of headings that I will be putting the contents
under. I have settled on the headings being “This Issue”, “Updates”. I will be including images to
give it more character.
◦ The double page spread is going to be simple and conventional to the genres. I am using the
model that was on the cover for this part of the magazine.
◦ For all the parts of the magazine I will be using Paint.Net. It is a program that I used last year for
my rock magazine and it was really easy to use and it was helpful to achieving the best I could.
3. Billboard
◦ I will use the same colour scheme as the magazine but I might also include another cover to
give an idea of what the reader can expect. I will also be adding some contact details as well as
some social media contacts.
◦ Like the magazine, I am going to use Paint.Net to make the billboard. I haven’t used it to make
a poster or billboard yet but I think that will be something that will come easily.
Website
◦ For the website I am going to use Wix.com. I have never used it before but it seems to be fairly
straight forward. I have played around with it to make a kind of mock up website, but only to
figure out how to use all the different tools and things they have to offer.
