1. Autumn Term weeks 3-4, 22ndSept-3rd Oct.
Dear Parents,
I hope you and your child are settling in well at pre-school. Most of the children are now ready to stay for the full session time however some will still benefit from finishing a little earlier. Your key person will speak to you if they think this is necessary.
Activities we will be doing in pre-school:
Singing our rhyme of the week which is ‘1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive’. This is a good rhyme for encouraging children to become familiar with numbers.
Learning a song for our Harvest Festival.
Listening to the story of ‘Shark in the Park.’
Activities to do at home with your child:
Sing some nursery rhymes every day, they are a good way of teaching them new vocabulary while enjoying some time together.
Look at any books with pictures of underwater creatures and talk about them.
Notices:
Please return any photograph money by Friday this week (26th), at the latest.
Please note that if your child has had Calpol medicine then they are NOT well enough to come to pre-school on that day.
If your child has had sickness or diarrhoea we request that they stay off pre-school for 48 hours to prevent infecting others.
A date for your diaries…you are invited to attend our church Harvest Festival on Sunday 19th October when the children will be singing the songs they have learnt.
