This document compares the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards (NCPTS) and the national technology standards for teachers (ISTE). Both standards address teachers' roles in facilitating learning and engaging in professional development. However, the NCPTS focuses more on reflection, knowing the content, and setting up a respectful learning environment, while the ISTE standards are technology-centered and focused on facilitating digital learning experiences and modeling digital work.
