1. Looking back at your
preliminary task, what
do you feel that you
have learnt in the
progression from it to
the full product?
2. What have learnt about the
conventions of magazine
productions and what progress
have you made from the student
magazine?
During the process of making my student
magazine, I have learnt so many things such as
how to create a magazine front cover, DPS and a
contents page using different software's such as
power point, Photoshop and Flickr.
Before I started the whole production I didn’t
know anything about Photoshop or how to use it.
However, when I started creating my front cover
of my magazine, I started playing around with
some of the tools, watched some YouTube
videos and got the basic knowledge of
Photoshop.
3. Before finally getting to my
finally production, I had to go
through some planning
stages. These flat plans and
initial planning ideas helped
me all the way through to
doing my final product by
giving me an idea of how my
product will look when its
done.
Creating a mood board for my
magazine genre also helped
my broaden my idea of what
my magazine needs to look
like and what the target
audience will be expecting to
see in the magazine.
Think about the production
journey from the initial
sketching to the final
product.
4. What have others said
about your magazine since
finished itAfter the final production of my magazine, I
asked a few of my friends about their honest
opinion on my magazine and the majority of them
said that if they were to see my magazine in the
shop they would purchase it, and the other
minority said that they probably wouldn’t
purchase it because its not their type of music
genre.
