SUBGENRE
My subgenre is Psychological/Paranormal. I want to play on
the idea of the ‘fear of the unknown’, superstition and evil
forces.
It will have a disturbed human psyche which would focus
around possession and dark forces. It is going to deal with
ambiguous reality and will seem very supernatural.
2. Target Audience
My target audience is aimed towards teenagers
mostly of the ages between 16 onwards as they are
the main group of people who would like to be thrilled
by this sort of genre.
3. Inspiration
Firstly, I had taken the ‘possessive’ element from the film
Insidious 3.
I had secondly taken the gore from the film ‘unfriended’
Thirdly, I had taken the ‘mysterious haunted house’ from
the awakeneing
And lastly had taken the ‘vulnerable girl - victim’
(protagonist) from scream.
4. Title - Possession
I had named my film ‘possession’. My title reflects my
movie as the protagonist gets possessed. This specifically
reflects my supernatural genre.
5. Antagonist and Protagonist
My protagonist is the stereotypical vulnerable 17 year old
woman/young girl (victim).
My antagonist is of the exact same age, (17 year old girl
ghost) who is trying to possess the victims body and make
it her own.
