2. Title&Tagline
The title of the film will be called POSSESSION
and will be based around the ‘supernatural
genre’. The tagline of this film is ‘don’t get too
close’
3. Genre/SubGenre
The genre of the film is supernatural
horror/psychological. It’s mainly based around
possession and a supernatural haunting.
4. Target Audience
My target audience will be 15+ as most teens of
this age are mostly interested in the supernatural
genre. Also, most of the actors are of the same
age, (teens) so it is relatable.

6. Synopsis
The story is based on a young girl moving into a
new home with her father and sister. In that
house was a girl who had previously died
(Caitlyn). She was 17, just around the same age
of the new girl moving in, Katy, who happens to
also be 17. The supernatural force/person is
trying to take over the girl’s body and possess it
as her own. She is trying to take Katy’s soul and
life and make it her own.
7. Characters
Main Victim/Protagonist: Katy Millen. 17 Years
old.
Supernatural Antagonist: Caitlyn Mellah. 17
years old.
(Both antagonist and protagonist have the same
‘sorts’ of names/features/looks/age as it is easier
for Caitlyn to possess someone who she can
relate to)
Hero: Father. Dominant male, helping damsel in
distress.
Helper: Victim’s friend.
8. Todorov Theory For
Narrative
Equilibrium: moving into new house where
everything seems normal and good.
Disruption: Strange and weird things start to
occur in the house such as coldness, frequent
scary dreams about Katy being possessed,
things going missing.
Resolution: Father saves the day and they all
move out.
9. Film Influences
Firstly, I had taken the ‘possessive’ element from the
film Exorcist.
I had secondly taken the ‘gore’ from the film
unfriended (only a small amount) bloody foot prints -
for example
Thirdly, I had taken the ‘mysterious haunted house’
from the awakening
Fourthly, I had taken the jump-scares and creepy
music from Insidious 3.
And lastly had taken the ‘vulnerable girl - victim’
(protagonist) from scream.
