The presenter will showcase two user-friendly educational technology tools for engaging students in interactive polls and administering formative assessments of student learning outcomes on their mobile devices: Poll Everywhere and Socrative. These student response systems allow instructors to identify students in need of targeted intervention strategies and to apply data-driven instruction. Through the techniques modeled and examples shared, the presenter will demonstrate the benefits of integrating technology in the classroom to advance equity and student success. This session will also provide tips and helpful resources for getting started and troubleshooting with these technologies.
