  2. 2. Peer pressure • The influence to do things by friends and people your age. • A very powerful thing. • Pressures include smoking, drinking, drugs and having sex. • People give in just to fit in and not be rejected. • “COME ON EVERYONE IS DOING IT”
  3. 3. Bullying • Intending to hurt another person. • Physical, mental or cyber bullying. • Teens live in fear and suffering. • May lead to -losing friends - depression - self harming - suicide
  4. 4. Drugs and alcohol • Getting involved - experimentation - depression - family issues - bullying • Drugs are highly addictive. • Alcohol is okay when drank in moderation. • They give a temporary escape and a high. • Then the pain and feelings come back.
  5. 5. Sex and teen pregnancy • Pressure to have sex at a young age. • “Everyone is doing it” • Carries huge risks - regrets - unwanted pregnancy - sexually transmitted diseases(STD’s) - AIDS
  6. 6. Depression • Feeling sad and hopeless. • Can be a result of all the teen problems mentioned. • Can cause - self harm (cutting) - suicide (extreme cases) - problems at home - eating disorders - alcohol and drug abuse
