2. 1.1. What are your very first impressions
after watching this video?
→ My first impression was of sadness to see everything
destroyed and also of fear to see the house like this.
2.2. Do you know anyone who has used Airbnb OR
SIMILAR to find accommodation in a private
home? Was the experience positive? Would you
consider this type of accommodation?
→ No, really I don't know anyone who has used it. I didn't
even know nothing about that business.

3. 3.3. What are the advantages of staying in a
tourist flat like the ones offered on Airbnb as
opposed to staying in a hotel?
● It is cheaper than a hotel and offers much more
freedom.
● Airbnb acts as an intermediary for payments, which
gives a lot of confidence to the customers.
● There are accommodations for all likes.

4. 4.4. What type of people use Airbnb to
find accommodation?
→Mainly, young people that are looking for cheap
accommodation and large families with children seeking
comfort.

5. 5.5. If you were a homeowner, would you ever consider
renting out an extra room or your whole flat to
tourists visiting your city?
→If I had another house in which I didn't live in, yes. It is a way to
earn money while keeping the house.
6.6. If you were renting out your home to tourists
visiting your city, would you have a preference as
regards the type of lodger staying in your flat?
→ No, I wouldn´t have a preference about the type of lodger.
The only requirement would be that the renter has to respect my
rules.

6. 7.7. If your flat was listed on Airbnb, what positive features
would you mention in order to attract potential lodgers?
Is there anything about your flat that you might play
down, or even not mention?
→I would mention that my flat has 4 rooms, 2 baths, an equipped kitchen and a big
living room, in conclusion it is very roomy. It is located in a quiet area and it´s near the
centre of the city.
I wouldn't play down anything about my flat, it is not necessary to do that.
8.8. What do you think it’s like to live nextdoor to a tourist
flat? How might this type of accommodation cause
problems for people whose permanent residence is in the
same building or street?
→ I think living next to a tourist flat would be the same as living next to a
normal one.
The coexistence would only be complicated if the renters did not respect the
rules of the community, otherwise there would be no problem.

7. 9.9. What are the advantages and
disadvantages of each? Which of the
three options would you choose?
Airbnb offers three types of rented accommodation:
a) Entire home – the whole living space to yourself. (I would choose this option).
It has advantages such as that you have privacy and also disadvantages like all
expenses are borne by you.
b) Private room – a bedroom to yourself, but sharing some spaces with others.
Advantages: you share the expenses with others.
Disadvantages: you have less privacy.
c) Shared room – sharing your bedroom and the entire living space with another
person or persons.
Advantages: you pay very less.
Disadvantages: you haven´t privacy.

8. 10.10. If you were staying in an Entire home and
had the run of the place to yourself, would you
be tempted to snoop around?
→Well, maybe I would be tempted but I wouldn´t snoop
around.
