2. One of the openings we looked at was Memento which was
distributed by Summit Entertainment which is an American film
studio and a subsidiary of Lions Gate Entertainment based in
California. After looking at more films they had produced a
large majority had also been within the genre of psychological
thrillers such as Gone and Now You See Me. Therefore we may
approach Summit Entertainment to distribute our film as it
fits with the genre they produce. It’s also a large, well
known company which would help us reach a wider audience.

3. I also looked at New Line Cinema which distributed Se7en. New
Line Cinema is an American film studio founded in 1967 by
Robert Shaye as a film distribution company, later becoming an
independent film studio. It became a subsidiary first of
Turner Broadcasting, then Time Warner in 1996, and was merged
with larger sister studio Warner Bros. in 2008. They would be
ideal to distribute our piece as it is similar to Se7en.
However this could also be a negative as they may not want to
produce our piece as they wouldn’t want something similar.

4. Although we only had a low budget if possible our idea
was more suited to a high budget. For example if we had
a higher budget we would be able to have a better set as
we originally wanted to film in an old, abandoned
warehouse. Also we would have been able to get a better
gun more suitable for our piece.
