3. Portuguese CTeSP courses
The Educational System in Portugal is
regulated by the State through the Ministry of
education and science.
The public education system is the most used
and implemented, but there are also private
schools at all levels of education.

4. Portuguese CTeSP courses
In Portugal the compulsory education begins
at 6 years old and ends when the student
does 18 years (12th year of schooling).
After that is a question of choice…

5. Portuguese CTeSP courses
Portugal has universities since 1290. The first
university in our country was the University
of Coimbra.
The Bologna Declaration was adopted by
universities and polytechnics.

6. Portuguese CTeSP courses
In universities, the assessments are made on
a scale of 1 to 20 values. Most courses have
a duration of three years, and at the end of
this period, the student is officially formed
in the area that he has choosen.
(However, you can always increase your
qualification with a master's degree, and
later with a doctorate).

Unfortunately many of the existing courses do
not correspond to the real needs of the
labour market.
And the best way to understand what kind of
professionals are needed in the market is
listening to businesses.

And its exactly what our universities are
starting to do. As an example we can speak
about the University of Porto.
The University offers a wide range of skills
and resources of I&D and innovation that
can be placed at the service of companies
and other organizations.

9. Portuguese CTeSP courses
As a way to approach and expand the
network between the scientific community
and the business sector, the U. Porto
promotes A2B sessions (A for Academy, B
for Business).

But... students also seek innovation in
teaching. They also look for ways to study
through their schedules, ways to continue
own evolution, or to study in other
countries without being there.

This is the online teaching….

The distance education is a way of teaching
characterized by physical separation
between the teacher and the student,
because the contact between them is
mediated by different media.
Nowadays its common to see this type of
education announced on internet but also in
resumes.
