appropriate than the other. Charity should be implemented in times of emergency because it provides short term aid with no strings, prevents banks
from capitalizing on tragedy and provides massive aid, whereas microfinancing loans should be utilized so that individual borrowers experience long
term assistance and so that jobs can be created in impoverished areas. Charity is more beneficial tham microfinancing loans particularly in times of
severe crisis. Philanthropy is absolutely vital when tragedy strikes. After natural disasters, individuals are not thinking about long term financial
security for their family but rather when their children may get their next meal and where they will lay their heads at night. Loans are not effective

When discussing our prevention project my group thought that we should look for other effective bullying programs and see how they achieved
success. That is when I came across and article on the Great Schools website. This article explained that a group from the University of Kansas was
looking in to implementing an anti–bullying program at the local elementary schools. The program, KiVa, was very successful in Finland and these
college students wanted to see if it would work in schools here in the United States. The article only explained that they planned to implement this

Some of the outcomes from the study involved improved view of school as a caring environment which led to better learning in core subjects. This
program lowered overall depression symptoms for the fourth through sixth grade students, but was significant especially for the students in sixth grade
that were reported victims of bullying. Lowering depression symptoms also improved self–esteem among the sixth–grade victims as well. Not only
were significant improvements seen following the study, but these improvements were seen to have long lasting effects six months after the

This book, The Haunted Mesa, was written by author Louis L'Amour, under the publishing company Bantam Books. It was published in New
York in 1987 and the story of the book takes place around this time as well. The significance of the title is to hint at the central idea of the story,
which revolves around a mesa in the deserts of southern Utah. The place is very odd, having bizarre occurrences described by both the main
character and another character in the story. These occurrences advance the plot astronomically. Not only this, the setting is what pulls the reader

in Southern California. Our Slow Money SoCal founding members were working against a conservative legal backdrop and a sprawling suburbia that

Two thousand years ago the American southwest was populated by a group of people called the Anasazi or "the ancient ones". They began to build a
series of great housing complexes and by the middle of the 12–century the Anasazi disappeared and no one knows why. These early Anasazi were

The Anasazi religiouse views were to worship fire and the sun for agriculture and fertility. Many of the kivas and other structures were used for
worshiping and these sacred places were always separate from the living quarters.
Pueblo Bonito ruins show evidence of the migration of the Anasazi people. However, many archeologist believe that these people left in a hurry but
