2. Image
The image is a picture of the Inbetweeners
cast, this would be showing to the audience
the main focus in the magazine. This is what
the company “NME” would be using as there
main selling point as they want people to
know that the Inbetweeners are going to be
their main topic, although they will have
many other stories inside they want this to
be the main attraction for their audience.
3. Font
The font that is used is big and bold titles in a
red font to make the writing stands out. They
want the writing to stand out so they have
made it so the writing stands out on the
page, the colour is there to make sure that
the viewer’s eyes are gripped to the
magazine and so they can get the short
snappy advertisement lines in without
having the reader/viewer have to spend a
long time reading for the information.
4. Masthead
The masthead is the biggest size font, this is
because they want this to stand out on the
page so that the viewer knows what
magazine producer has made this magazine.
5. Date of release
It is located just above the main title so that
when they are locked into looking at the title
they can see this so they know when this
issue is set for.
6. Direct Address
The image shows the characters looking at
the audience. This is an advertising
technique as it is enticing the viewer in. This
is so the viewer is almost hypnotised into
buying the magazine.
7. Cover line
The main cover line is the 2nd largest font size
on the front cover as it is what they want the
viewer to see to try and persuade them into
buying their magazine.
