I come from a long line of
hardworking people that lived
meaningful lives. Growing up
first generation off the farm
in Iowa provided a great
perspective. I have been many
places, owned my own
business, have a family, and
try to bring the hardworking
attitude I was raised with
into everything I do. I love
filmmaking, art, and the
creative process and I feel
all are an important part of
my future.

The first time I
ever used After
Effects I was a
little intimidated.
The first project
was to animate a
ball bouncing
across the screen.
It ended up being
easier than I had
anticipated and
launched an
expansive journey
into this new
medium.
10.
The next project saw our skills progressing when we
animated our name. We learned how to use key frames and
to set a path on which our name could glide across the
screen. We also began looking into some of the effects
that could be applied.
11.
We learned how to use pre comps to layer in and create
depth.
12.
I used my pre comp as the
basis for my next project,
a personal bumper.
13.
I animated a polygon to seemingly appear
spinning out of nowhere and then disappear
again.
14.
I created story boards for
my personal story trailer. I
then brought those shots
into Premiere and created an
animatic with shot numbers,
title, time, frame numbers,
and a rough audio track.
15.
I then chose a few
key scenes to color
and get a rough idea
of how I wanted the
finished product to
look.
16.
These are the final
renderings of the
same color shots
from above. This
project was
challenging and
frustrating at
times, but
ultimately worth
it. I learned a
lot!!!
