The document summarizes the production of a film trailer over three weeks. It details the filming of scenes using various props and equipment. It also describes the post-production process where one member created individual versions of the poster, magazine cover, and trailer using programs like Photoshop, Fireworks, and Premiere Elements. They took photos, edited footage, designed layouts, and added titles and audio to create a cohesive brand identity across the promotional materials.

Liberty Wallis We as a group decided to make individual
versions of our poster, magazine cover and
trailer so that we could personally show
our own tastes, ideas and the skills that we
have learnt from using a range of
programmes.
In the case of the poster, I have taken the
main photo that I have used, I have
decided on the layout and constructed the
poster, I have edited the picture of
Lauren’s character – changing the
background and making Lauren stand out
on the page. I have also edited the fonts
that I have found on different websites and
used to ensure that they are suitable and
of the highest quality.
Finally after looking at other billing blocks I
have made my own and structured the
language choices accordingly.

photo making it stand in front of the
magazine masthead. I have constructed
the layout of the page and made my own
cover lines and font/colour scheme that
will be used on the final piece.

The trailer was the hardest and longest of
the products that I had to make.
To make the trailer I had to learn how to
use the Adobe Premier Elements software.
I also had to learn how to put the footage
in the correct order according to my
storyboard. Also I had to put title scenes
into the trailer and transitions most
notably fade to black in between the
scenes.
I added the film title that I had edited on
Fireworks so that it was the same as my
other products creating brand identity.
To add a backing track to the trailer I had
4. Production Diary:
to search on the Sound Cloud website to
find a suitable track, then add it to the
trailer and then edit and cut it so that it
fitted with the events in the scene at the
time. I also had to adjust the volume of the
audio at points when there was dialogue
between the characters.
