this image is alluring
because she is looking
over her shoulder
giving direct eye
contact to the reader;
this also entices the
customer to purchase
the magazine.
Colour Scheme:
The colour palette used
with the cover is limited as
the there is only three
colours used; black, white
and pink. They all contrast
very well with each other
but don’t take much away
from the main image, this
is
because the image is the
main selling point for the
magazine.
The other cover lines on the
magazine are very varied as the
magazine wants to appeal to a
wider audience, therefore they
have many different genres of
music within the cover

magazine.

Macklemore and it is an
extreme close up of his face.
The image covers the
,masthead and this shows
that he is an important
person to the magazine, the
reason he is covering the
mast head is because he is
the main selling point of the
magazine. The size of the
main image is large and this
attracts customers to buy
the magazine because of his
direct eye contact with the
reader . Macklemore looks
happy and this makes the
front over look cheery
because the image kind of
sets the atmosphere of the
cover.
The Colour
Scheme:
Again, the colour
scheme within the cover
is varied as five colours
used, these are; black,
white, yellow, red and
the background of the
overall magazine is a
skin colour which
matches that of
Macklemore. The
colours contrast well
and catch the readers
attention.
Cover lines:
There are many different genres on this
magazine which again is to cater for all
most everyone. The cover lines wrap
around the image and this makes the reader
interested as .they stand out

Colour Scheme: The colour scheme
for this magazine cover is very limited as
it has a maximum of four colours; red,
black, white and yellow. These are good
colours to choose as black and white
contrast with each other and the red
catches your attention.
Cover Line : The other cover
lines on this don’t really vary.
They are all the same genre of
music which is unusual because
most magazines have an array of
different genres of music on
there magazine, this is because
they want a wide fan base
whereas this magazine only has
one genre. This shows that the
magazine has a fan base which
they cater for.
Along the top the
magazine has a
competition which
makes the
customer want to
buy it especially if
the are a fan of the
band that is being
advertised.

5. I feel that blender is the only magazine that actually
relates too there target audience. They offer a wide range
of music genres.
I am going to do my magazine silimiar too blender, the
colours contrast well, its bright and eye-catching the cover
lines attract the attention of the customer as the can appeal
to a range of ages.
I like the main image from the rolling stones and I think
that the main image for my magazine will be similar, the
extreme close up attracts the customer too buy it.
The masthead like the Kerrang magazine will be onto of
the main image, I feel that if the masthead is a contrasting
colour and on top of the main image then I feel people
will buy it more, also I like the look of it.
