Apa Style Analysis
When you write an essay, you have to use a format. Formats help you have a better looking paper.
Some of these formats are called, APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, and AMA. But the ones I will
focus on is APA and MLA. APA and MLA are close and different in a few ways. APA, American
Psychological Association, style is used when you write a psychology, education, and other social
science paper. APA style is a format for academic documents such as journal articles and books.
APA style is most commonly used to site sources within the social sciences. This style is a formal
way of writing an official document. The essay should be typed, double–spaced on standard–sized
paper (8.5"x 11") with 1" margins on all sides. The essay should use a clear font that is readable.
APA recommends using 12 PT and Times New Roman font. The essay also includes a page header
at the top of every page. To create a page header, insert page numbers flush right, then type "title of
your page" in the header flush left using all capital letters. The running head is a shortened version
of your paper's title and cannot exceed 50 characters including spacing and punctuation. ... Show

You would use this style for regular writing. Writing for an english, theatre, art, etc., is some
examples of when you would use MLA. If you are to write a paper using MLA you would type your
paper on a computer, 8.5 x 11–inch paper. Double–space the text of your paper, and use a legible
font . The font size will be 12. Leave only one space after periods or other punctuation marks. Set
the margins of your document to one inch on all sides. Indent the first line of paragraphs one half–
inch from the left margin. Create a header that numbers all pages consecutively in the upper right–
hand corner, one–half inch from the top and flush with the right

What is a referencing system?
A referencing system is a set of rules and principles that is used to attribute the contributions of
other authors within your own written work. This is achieved by both acknowledging, and
identifying the source of, the other authors' work.
There are two parts to academic referencing: the acknowledgement (of the other authors' words and
ideas) in the body of your text (the in–text citation); and the identification of their work in full at the
end of your document (the end–text citation in the reference list).
Copying the words and ideas of others without acknowledging correct ownership is called
plagiarism. Plagiarism may result in failure of a unit or entire course, fines, prevention from entry
into professional associations and other disciplinary

APA Style Of Documentation
APA – American Psychology Association– Style of Documentation Helpful hints on how to use it.
APA citation style refers to the rules and conventions established by the American Psychological
Association for documenting sources used in a research paper. APA style requires two elements for
citing outside sources. These are the Reference Citation in Text and the Reference List. Together
these elements identify and credit the sources consulted in the paper and allow others to access or
retrieve this material.
Reference Citations in Text
In APA style, citations to sources are placed in the text of the paper in order to briefly identify
sources for readers and enable them to locate the source of the cited information in the Reference
List. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Write out the last name and initials for all authors of a particular work.
Capitalize only the first word of a title or subtitle, and any proper names that are part of a title.
Use an ampersand (&) instead of the word "and" when listing multiple authors of a single work.
Use the abbreviation p. or pp. to designate page numbers of articles from periodicals that do not use
volume numbers, especially newspapers. These abbreviations are also used to designate pages in
encyclopedia articles and chapters from edited books.
Indentation *: The first line of the entry is flush with the left margin, and all subsequent lines are
indented (5 to 7 spaces) to form a "hanging indent".
Underlining vs. Italics *: It is appropriate to use italics instead of underlining for titles of books and
journals.
Examples:
Articles in Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers
References to periodical articles must include the following elements: author(s), date of publication,
article title, journal title, volume number, issue number (if applicable), and page numbers.

Google: Graduate students' approaches to learning citation style. First, this paper examines David
Perkins (2008) research in relation to behavioral habits which inhibit comprehension of the APA
formatting. Second, highlight significant findings in identifying areas of mistakes. Finally, illustrate
future instructions for teachers to avoid repetitive mistakes. First, when teaching APA formatting to
Ph.D. students, instructors should refrain from criticism, and encourage resolutions.
Correspondingly, David Perkins (2008) inspired the Authors' focus towards resolving behavioral
habits which created complexity when Ph.D. students attempted to learn the APA

MLA Style Vs APA Style Analysis
MLA style is widely used in humanities fields, whereas APA style is commonly used in social
science fields. Citations will be used throughout a paper when quoting from a source using the exact
words. MLA style documents the last name of the author's as well as the page number of where the
cited information is found in the physical text. In contrast, APA style documents the author's last
name and the year the source document was published in the physical text, these are called in–text
citations. Both styles have a full list of references at the end of the paper. MLA style citations will be
listed as "Works Cited" and APA styles will be listed as "References". As long as the author and title
are included, MLA style does not require a URL

APA Style Of Writing
Style is a reflection of one's inner self. It allows our feelings, thoughts and perceptions to speak for
each of us. But, when it comes to conveying information a standardized style is needed. There are
different standardized styles that are in use but during this essay we will look at the style known as
APA created in 1929 and published by the American Psychological Association (Bethel, 2014).
APA style of writing was created with specific rules and guidelines to allow the writings of
professionals to be more consistent to interpretation (Bethel, 2014). The guidelines clearly state how
one is to incorporate citations throughout the text of the essay as well as how to clearly create a
reference listing at the end of a manuscript. Many

While APA format may seem complex, it will become easier once you familiarize yourself with the
rules and format. Explore other articles and links in this section to learn more about APA format.
Uniform style helps us scan articles quickly for key points and findings. Rules of style in scientific
writing encourage full disclosure of essential information and allow us to dispense with minor
distractions.
Style helps us: * express the key elements of quantitative results, * choose the graphic form that will
best suit our analyses, * report critical details of our research protocol, and * Describe individuals
with accuracy and respect.
When we use an editorial style, we remove the distraction of puzzling over the correct punctuation
for a reference or the proper form for numbers in text. Those elements are codified in the rules we
follow for clear communication, allowing us to focus our intellectual energy on the substance of our
research (Foreword, Public Manual of American Psychological Association 6th ed., p. xiii).
An author writing for a publication must follow the rules established by the publisher to avoid
inconsistencies among journal articles or book chapters. For example, without rules of style, three
different manuscripts might use sub–test, subtest, and Subtest in one issue of a journal or book.
Although the meaning of the word

Reflection Of APA Style Writing
First of all I would like to thank you for the time and hard work you put in this semester to teach my
classmates and me. This semester I learned a lot in your class such as APA style writing, how to
write different format essays and Bloom's Taxonomy. In your course I not only learned how to
become a better learner but also a better person. I still remember how nervous I was feeling the first
day of class. This was my first semester attending college, which made me feel worse. Since the first
day I came into your class I was expecting this course to help me improve my writing skills in
English one specific assignment that I consider to be helpful in my writing skills was the thesis
tweeter assignment . I consider spelling to be my greatest weakness in writing because my first
language is Spanish and I have a lot of trouble learning English. In this letter I will let you know
what I learned and how I have met the program's standards of focus, development and clarity
because I have practice APA style, writing assays and using Bloom's Taxonomy
When I was in my senior year of high school, I learned a little about writing in APA style. In your
course I learned that I was making some mistakes when I thought I was using APA style the correct
way. Something that I considered to be very helpful for me was getting the help from the librarian
on how to use APA style using different kind of sources such as books, newspapers and videos. The
yellow sheet he gave us in his presentation was allot of help throughout the semester because I
would always use it when It was time to do writing assignments. Learning how to properly use Apa
style was very helpful for me because now I apply those skills on my assignments and I do a better
job than before. Now I feel way more comfortable and confident while writing. Before learning the
proper way of using APA style I was always unsure If I was giving credit to the sources I was using.
I'm planning on applying this writing skill in and out of class to have a clear and smooth writing
when It gets to give credit to sources.
Throughout the semester we practice literature by writing several essays such as diagnostic,
narrative, current event and common exit essay. In all these four essays

Basic Structure of an APA Style Paper
Basic Structure of an APA Style Paper
Abstract
APA (American Psychological Association) Style writing is widely used across all fields of study
and is regularly used to cite sources within the social sciences. This paper details the basic structure
of an APA paper, provides resources and tips to assist authors during the writing process. As stated
by the Publication Manual of the APA, an abstract is "a brief, comprehensive summary of the
contents of the article; it allows readers to survey the contents of an article quickly and, like a title, it
enables persons interested in the document to retrieve it from abstracting and indexing databases"

Direct quotations must equal the original source exactly, word for word. The source of the quotation
must be cited. The organization of direct quotations may vary with the placement of the quoted
material in the sentence. The author's last name, the year of publication, the website title or section
title, and the paragraph number, when no page number is available, are included in the citation.
Quotations that contain fewer than forty words are enclosed in double quotation marks within the
text. Use single quotation marks for quotations contained within a direct quotation. Use double
quotation marks to indicate a quotation within the block quotation. Paraphrasing allows the writer to
present someone else's ideas and acknowledges the original author.
The Reference page will begin on a new page. References are designed to document the sources a
writer uses so the reader knows where the original information derived from and it acknowledges
the original author's work. Hanging indentation is used for the reference page. In a hanging indent,
the first line of the reference rests against the left margin, and the lines that follow are indented five
to seven spaces. "The reference page is alphabetized by author or by title of the work when no
author is listed, and each entry contains the date of publication in parentheses right after

Scholarly Writing : Reflective Writing
My scholarly journey began once again about seven months ago when I enrolled in the Doctoral
program offered by ACE University. This short span of time has left an everlasting impression on
me as a writer. My experience during the introductory course has changed my perspective and I
have come to realize that every individual has a unique way of writing and expressing thoughts and
any scholarly writing is a crystal ball of one's thoughts and reflection. According to Literary
Devices, 2017, writing can also be described as a voice that readers listen to when they read the
work of a writer. Any meaningful and scholarly piece of writing requires a lot of thought and
reflection. Many dictionary definitions refer to reflection as careful thought or consideration. The
research on reflective thinking includes metacognition or a self–reflection of your own learning
process or current practices (Housley, 2017). "Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the
quiet reflection will come even more effective action," (Drucker, n.a.) resonates with me as my
actions, both professional and personal are driven by my reflections. In reflecting back from the start
of this course, I feel my writing skills have improved and I am more familiar with the APA style of
writing. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2010) has been
designed to advance scholarship by setting sound and rigorous standards for scientific
communication (APA, 2010, p. XIII). It serves

Essay on How To Write Using the APA Writing Style
The APA writing style is most commonly used to cite sources for psychology, education, and social

General APA Organizational Guidelines are basic guidelines that explain how to write a research
paper in the APA format. These guidelines ensure clear and consistent presentation of written
material that differentiates from other writing styles because it concerns elements such as: Citations,

The body of an APA paper Come back to. A literature review is a type of APA paper that summarizes
a scientific text about ones topic or question. A literature review focuses on a specific topic of
interest and includes a critical analysis where one would compare different literature that relates to
the subject of one's own work. It normally includes a title page, introduction section, and a list of
references. Many confuse a literature review with an annotated bibliography, but the difference
between a literature review and an annotated bibliography is that an annotated bibliography only
summarizes briefly about an article that one viewed while an annotated bibliography focuses
specifically on a topic. An experimental report, also know as "lab reports" is put shortly, a "story" of
ones research where someone would guide a reader through their experiment. Though this "story,"
one would have to argue that their research is both valid and reliable, the meaning of their research,
and how it relates to work that was previously written. An experimental report normally follows the
scientific method and should include these following sections: Title page, abstract, introduction,
method, results, discussion, references, appendixes (if necessary), and table or figures (if necessary).
Because an APA paper should be as formal and scientific as possible, gender terms should not be
used when they are not necessary. For example, the APA

Concept Analysis : An Essential Part Of Nursing Theory...
Concept Analysis Abigail Giovacchini Chamberlain College of Nursing Concept Analysis Concept
Analysis is an essential part of nursing theory development. Analyzing concepts of theories assists
the reader in defining the attributes of the theory as well as identifying key points developed in the
theory. Concept analysis helps clarify theories and evaluate their meanings. Studying the concepts
helps us define and explain relationships between nurses and patients and this produces nursing
theories (Orem, Denyes & Bekel, 2001). This paper will discuss the concept of self–care as used in
Dorothea Orem's self–care theory. Definitions and a literature review will be performed as well as

If a person asks for help performing these activities due to an inability to self–perform, it would not
longer be self–care. Self–care is described as self–directed, self–permitted, and deliberate and can be
learned by various social groups such as family, classmates, social groups, and more (Orem,
Renpenning & Taylor, 2003). It takes time and constant vigilance of the person to modify behaviors
and treatments and a foreknowledge of what outcomes or situations may occur. Literature Review
Orem, Denyes, and Bekel (2001), note that there are three important views that a person must have
for self care which are: operations completed which meet self–care demands, the capability of the
person to perform these operations, and capabilities the person possesses to perform other self–care
functions. Education is an essential component of self–care. After a new diagnosis is made, the
patient is given treatment regimes or lifestyle changes to make. If the patient does not understand
the diagnosis or is unfamiliar with the changes, the lack of education may cause a lack of ability to
self–care. A study was done on patients who had just had a myocardial infarction (MI) and it began
with a pre–test to determine the knowledge of the new MI and lifestyle changes that needed to be

Most universities in the world use a style manual to establish the rules that should be applied for
writing documents or publishing research studies on different disciplines. The purpose of these style
manuals is to ensure consistency standardizing the writing style, and additionally, to make easier the

manuals for academic papers are MLA, Chicago, Harvard, Turabian and APA. APA style is a widely

It is important to give credit where credit is due. I mentioned this because it is crucial that when you
research you should always give credit to the authors work and not use it as your own. To do this,
you must use APA style when citing any direct quotes or paraphrasing. This is why APA style was

An association, organization, or body are all terms that refer to a company that makes no money, or
a nonprofit that has an intent to advance public interest, professional interest, or the interest of

and that I cite them correctly. With all of the different ways to get information; online, textbook,
eBooks, articles etc. making sure that the references are on point can be a bit intimidating. However,
with that being said the advantages of APA are great as well. A huge advantage is in the EBSCO.
When you research something and you find what you need, there is an automatic reference that is
already formatted waiting to be use. Personally, for me, it cannot get any better than that.

APA Style Analysis
APA Style Sample
APA (American Psychological Association) style is primarily used in the social science disciplines.
It is formatted like MLA, and shows many similarities, but is unique in several key points.
APA uses parenthetical (or in–text) citations within sentences, but rather than indicating the author's
name and page number, APA includes author's name and date of publication. The page number,
represented with a p. or a pp., is only added to the citation when using a direct quote (not a summary
or paraphrase). If the author's name is mentioned in the sentence, then place the date of publication
in parentheses directly after the name. If the name is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of the interviewees have been called 'exceptions to the norm' (Strong & Porter, 1998, p.
565).
Note the first example paraphrases an author that is named in the sentence, the second example
paraphrases authors that are not named in the sentence, and the third example provides a direct
quote (thus the inclusion of the page numbers) but also does not identify the authors within the
sentence. If the authors were identified within the sentence in the third example, the authors' names
would be followed by the year of publication and only the page numbers would be in the
parentheses at the end of the quote.
Finally, the bibliographic page in APA style differs from MLA, what APA calls the Reference page.
You will notice a few immediate differences from the MLA Works Cited format. With APA you
include the initial of the author's first name rather than the complete name, the publication date
immediately follows the author's name in parentheses, and titles of articles are not surrounded with
quotation marks (however titles of books, magazines, journals, etc are still underlined). The lists are
still alphabetized by author's last name (or title in the absence of an author) and the first line is flush
left while subsequent lines in the same entry are indented in (approximately 5 spaces or one tab).
For journals and magazines, publication title and volume number are both underlined,

The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed., 2001) provides a
comprehensive reference guide to writing using APA style, organization, and content. Students
should plan on using the Publication Manual to answer detailed questions not answered by this APA

Subsections of the body of the paper do not begin on new pages.
Title: The title of the paper (in uppercase and lowercase letters) is centered on the first line below
the manuscript page header.
Introduction: The introduction (which is not labeled) begins on the line following the paper title.
Headings: Headings are used to organize the document and reflect the relative importance of
sections. For example, many empirical research articles utilize Method, Results, Discussion, and
References headings. In turn, the Method section often has subheadings of Participants, Apparatus,
and Procedure. For an example of APA–formatted headings, go to
http://www.vanguard.edu/psychology/headings.pdf
Main headings (when the paper has either one or two levels of headings) use centered uppercase and
lowercase letters (e.g., Method, Results, Discussion, and References).
Subheadings (when the paper has two levels of headings) are italicized and use flush left, uppercase
and lowercase letters (e.g., Participants, Apparatus, and Procedure as subsections of the Method
section).
Text citations: Source material must be documented in the body of the paper by citing the author(s)
and date(s) of the sources. The underlying principle here is that ideas and words of others must be
formally acknowledged. The reader can obtain the full source citation from the list of references that
follows the body of the paper.

Getting Started with APA Citation Style
What is APA Style?
American Psychological Association (APA) style is one of several styles for academic writing. This
guide covers frequently used citation forms. The sixth edition of the Publication Manual of the
American Psychological Association (BF 76.7 .P83 2010) is a comprehensive resource, available at
most UBC Libraries.
General Rules
Formatting: The preferred APA font is a serif typeface such as Times New Roman with 12–point
size. Double– space between all lines of text, including the reference list. Have uniform margins of
at least 1 in. (2.54 cm) on all sides.
Hanging indents should be used for the reference list entries. This means that all lines after the first

  • 3. Apa Style Analysis When you write an essay, you have to use a format. Formats help you have a better looking paper. Some of these formats are called, APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, and AMA. But the ones I will focus on is APA and MLA. APA and MLA are close and different in a few ways. APA, American Psychological Association, style is used when you write a psychology, education, and other social science paper. APA style is a format for academic documents such as journal articles and books. APA style is most commonly used to site sources within the social sciences. This style is a formal way of writing an official document. The essay should be typed, double–spaced on standard–sized paper (8.5"x 11") with 1" margins on all sides. The essay should use a clear font that is readable. APA recommends using 12 PT and Times New Roman font. The essay also includes a page header at the top of every page. To create a page header, insert page numbers flush right, then type "title of your page" in the header flush left using all capital letters. The running head is a shortened version of your paper's title and cannot exceed 50 characters including spacing and punctuation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You would use this style for regular writing. Writing for an english, theatre, art, etc., is some examples of when you would use MLA. If you are to write a paper using MLA you would type your paper on a computer, 8.5 x 11–inch paper. Double–space the text of your paper, and use a legible font . The font size will be 12. Leave only one space after periods or other punctuation marks. Set the margins of your document to one inch on all sides. Indent the first line of paragraphs one half– inch from the left margin. APA citation style refers to the rules and conventions established by the American Psychological Association for documenting sources used in a research paper. APA style requires two elements for citing outside sources. These are the Reference Citation in Text and the Reference List. Together these elements identify and credit the sources consulted in the paper and allow others to access or retrieve this material. But, when it comes to conveying information a standardized style is needed. There are different standardized styles that are in use but during this essay we will look at the style known as APA created in 1929 and published by the American Psychological Association (Bethel, 2014). Uniform style helps us scan articles quickly for key points and findings. Rules of style in scientific writing encourage full disclosure of essential information and allow us to dispense with minor distractions. Style helps us: * express the key elements of quantitative results, * choose the graphic form that will best suit our analyses, * report critical details of our research protocol, and * Describe individuals with accuracy and respect. When we use an editorial style, we remove the distraction of puzzling over the correct punctuation for a reference or the proper form for numbers in text. Those elements are codified in the rules we follow for clear communication, allowing us to focus our intellectual energy on the substance of our research (Foreword, Public Manual of American Psychological Association 6th ed., p. xiii). An author writing for a publication must follow the rules established by the publisher to avoid inconsistencies among journal articles or book chapters. For example, without rules of style, three different manuscripts might use sub–test, subtest, and Subtest in one issue of a journal or book. Although the meaning of the word ... This semester I learned a lot in your class such as APA style writing, how to write different format essays and Bloom's Taxonomy. In your course I not only learned how to become a better learner but also a better person. I still remember how nervous I was feeling the first day of class. This was my first semester attending college, which made me feel worse. Since the first day I came into your class I was expecting this course to help me improve my writing skills in English one specific assignment that I consider to be helpful in my writing skills was the thesis tweeter assignment . I consider spelling to be my greatest weakness in writing because my first language is Spanish and I have a lot of trouble learning English. In this letter I will let you know what I learned and how I have met the program's standards of focus, development and clarity because I have practice APA style, writing assays and using Bloom's Taxonomy When I was in my senior year of high school, I learned a little about writing in APA style. In your course I learned that I was making some mistakes when I thought I was using APA style the correct way. Something that I considered to be very helpful for me was getting the help from the librarian on how to use APA style using different kind of sources such as books, newspapers and videos. The yellow sheet he gave us in his presentation was allot of help throughout the semester because I would always use it when It was time to do writing assignments. Learning how to properly use Apa style was very helpful for me because now I apply those skills on my assignments and I do a better job than before. Now I feel way more comfortable and confident while writing. Before learning the proper way of using APA style I was always unsure If I was giving credit to the sources I was using. I'm planning on applying this writing skill in and out of class to have a clear and smooth writing when It gets to give credit to sources. Throughout the semester we practice literature by writing several essays such as diagnostic, narrative, current event and common exit essay. In all these four essays ... Basic Structure of an APA Style Paper Basic Structure of an APA Style Paper Abstract APA (American Psychological Association) Style writing is widely used across all fields of study and is regularly used to cite sources within the social sciences. This paper details the basic structure of an APA paper, provides resources and tips to assist authors during the writing process. As stated by the Publication Manual of the APA, an abstract is "a brief, comprehensive summary of the contents of the article; it allows readers to survey the contents of an article quickly and, like a title, it enables persons interested in the document to retrieve it from abstracting and indexing databases" (2010, p. 25). The source of the quotation must be cited. The organization of direct quotations may vary with the placement of the quoted material in the sentence. The author's last name, the year of publication, the website title or section title, and the paragraph number, when no page number is available, are included in the citation. Quotations that contain fewer than forty words are enclosed in double quotation marks within the text. Use single quotation marks for quotations contained within a direct quotation. Use double quotation marks to indicate a quotation within the block quotation. Paraphrasing allows the writer to present someone else's ideas and acknowledges the original author. The Reference page will begin on a new page. References are designed to document the sources a writer uses so the reader knows where the original information derived from and it acknowledges the original author's work. Hanging indentation is used for the reference page. In a hanging indent, the first line of the reference rests against the left margin, and the lines that follow are indented five to seven spaces. This short span of time has left an everlasting impression on me as a writer. My experience during the introductory course has changed my perspective and I have come to realize that every individual has a unique way of writing and expressing thoughts and any scholarly writing is a crystal ball of one's thoughts and reflection. According to Literary Devices, 2017, writing can also be described as a voice that readers listen to when they read the work of a writer. Any meaningful and scholarly piece of writing requires a lot of thought and reflection. Many dictionary definitions refer to reflection as careful thought or consideration. The research on reflective thinking includes metacognition or a self–reflection of your own learning process or current practices (Housley, 2017). "Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action," (Drucker, n.a.) resonates with me as my actions, both professional and personal are driven by my reflections. In reflecting back from the start of this course, I feel my writing skills have improved and I am more familiar with the APA style of writing. A literature review focuses on a specific topic of interest and includes a critical analysis where one would compare different literature that relates to the subject of one's own work. It normally includes a title page, introduction section, and a list of references. • 50. Concept Analysis : An Essential Part Of Nursing Theory... Concept Analysis Abigail Giovacchini Chamberlain College of Nursing Concept Analysis Concept Analysis is an essential part of nursing theory development. Analyzing concepts of theories assists the reader in defining the attributes of the theory as well as identifying key points developed in the theory. Concept analysis helps clarify theories and evaluate their meanings. Studying the concepts helps us define and explain relationships between nurses and patients and this produces nursing theories (Orem, Denyes & Bekel, 2001). This paper will discuss the concept of self–care as used in Dorothea Orem's self–care theory. Definitions and a literature review will be performed as well as identification of antecedents, consequences, and empirical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If a person asks for help performing these activities due to an inability to self–perform, it would not longer be self–care. Self–care is described as self–directed, self–permitted, and deliberate and can be learned by various social groups such as family, classmates, social groups, and more (Orem, Renpenning & Taylor, 2003). It takes time and constant vigilance of the person to modify behaviors and treatments and a foreknowledge of what outcomes or situations may occur. Literature Review Orem, Denyes, and Bekel (2001), note that there are three important views that a person must have for self care which are: operations completed which meet self–care demands, the capability of the person to perform these operations, and capabilities the person possesses to perform other self–care functions. Education is an essential component of self–care. After a new diagnosis is made, the patient is given treatment regimes or lifestyle changes to make. If the patient does not understand the diagnosis or is unfamiliar with the changes, the lack of education may cause a lack of ability to self–care. A study was done on patients who had just had a myocardial infarction (MI) and it began with a pre–test to determine the knowledge of the new MI and lifestyle changes that needed to be made (Mohammadpour, Sharghi, Khosravan, Alami & Akhond ...
