Abigail Adams Thesis Statement
Abigail Adams played a very prestigious role in the history of the United States of America, as she
was the wife of John Adams, the 6th president of the United States. She also played an important
role in the society of women and their rights as residents of our country. But let's go back to the
beginning of her story––the very beginning. It all began when Abigail was born on November 11th,
1744, as the daughter of a minister. This was before she had the last name of Adams; her maiden
name was Abigail Smith. She grew up with her mother and father, Elizabeth Smith and William
Quincy Smith, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. As a child, she was very sickly, so her parents did not
put her through formal schooling. Instead, they homeschooled her where they taught her how to read
and write. She grew to be a very open–minded and well–read young lady who had a deep passion
for books. When she turned 15, she met an older man by the name of John Adams, who was 27.
They were actually 3rd cousins, but they fell into a love so deep that they decided to marry. They
married on October 25th, 1764, when she was 19 and he was 30. This brought the two into
adulthood, into a life that required a lot more work and included several bumps in throughout
journey. By this time, they lived together, still in Massachusetts, but John's job as a politician kept
him away from home quite often. They wrote letters back and forth constantly, reporting to each
other about current situations happening

Abigail Adams Thesis Statement
Abigail Adams was a wise and educated women that had one wonderful and challenging life. Like
any other women in the 1700s grew up to become someone's wife, bear children and live in the
private life of her husband's house. Abigail has a slightly different story than other women though.
She grew up with her sisters and brother and had a tutor so they became literate which was not a ling
for women. Educated men didn't want a wife that was smart, they wanted someone to take care of
the them and the children and just about nothing else. In the following paragraphs we will talk about
who the author is, a back story of who Abigail is, and the thesis of the book as a whole.
The author of this book Charles W. Aker was born in Indianapolis, April 2, 1920 to Ira and Mary
Bird Akers. He was a US Navy vet and served in World War II in 1942 to 1946. After he fought in
WWII he became a history teacher at the Eastern Nazarene College in 1948 then became the
Director of Quincy Junior College in 1959. He then taught at Geneva College in Pennsylvania after
which he went to Oakland University in 1966 and was appointed as chair of the history department
in 1968. As well as being a teacher he was also a member of many societies like Colonial Society of
Massachusetts and the American Historical Association just to name a few. Charles was a very well
established author in his time and died February 1, 2009.

Abigail Adams : The Power Of Women By John Quincy Adams
"Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of husbands. Remember all men would be tyrants
if they could. If particular care and attention is not paid to the Ladies, we are determined to foment a
Rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice, or
representation" (C–SPAN First Ladies: Influence & Image). This is a quote from Abigail Adams,
one of the most important first ladies of all times. She was not only the first lady to live in the White
House but she was also the mother of a president, her son John Quincy Adams. She has contributed
much influence on the country and is utterly distinct from other first ladies. Although she was not a
complete feminist she did believe in women's education, which was not common at the time, and
she also believed in protecting women's rights. Like most women at the time, she didn't get much of
a formal education, like the males, but a curiosity for education did spike in her. It states in C–SPAN
First Ladies that, her mother did indeed educate her at home. "Abigail was a delicate child, and for
that reason was never sent to school. Change of air was a favorite specific for health, and this added
to care for her education, was a basis of her variety of domicile" (Whitney 10). This was one of the
reason why she didn't go to school to get an education, because she was delicate with any change of
weather that can make her sick. She was like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, she was fascinated

Summary OfThe Divine Source Of Liberty, By John Quincy Adams
One of the most notable qualities of Americans is the intense ties to family and patriotic duty. These
two traits define one of America's leading families, the Adams. Abigail Adams rears her children
strongly in patriotism and wishes for them to pursue their passions. In a letter to her son, John
Quincy Adams, she attempts to persuade him to accompany his father, John Adams, to France to
become more cultured and independent. The support from his family sets Adams on the path to later
becoming a successful president. Strength being based in one's family and country extends beyond
politics to include ordinary people as well. In the short story, "Christmas Eve in Civil War Times", a
family struggles to get through the holidays while their loved ones are away in the Union army
(Roe). The literature confronts the conflict of being unconditionally loyal to country and family.
This issue of where loyalties lie is a consistent theme in historical literature, but lacks a well–
deserved recognition today. A shared aspect of patriotism and family in earlier times is the
importance of religion. Christian duty becomes justification for numerous political actions. Samuel
Adams writes in his poem, "The Divine Source of Liberty" that God creates liberty for men,
therefore, they must acknowledge it. The superficial themes of appreciating nature take on a more
rebellious appearance after noticing that the poem is written during the beginning of the American
Revolution, the "nation's true test" (11). The war effort for the revolution increases once the fight
becomes righteous and holy. This justification angers preachers such as Ralph Waldo Emerson who
is vehemently outspoken against the Mexican American War (Derleth, 96). Emerson acts as a face
for a community of reformers who define social changes of the late nineteenth century. Different
groups throughout American history have fought for their personal liberty; even the founding fathers
could not disagree if they wanted to dissolve alliances with England or not (1776). Early Americans
all have their own definition of freedom and while some aspects like religious justification and
political reformation has carried over into contemporary times, other important qualities such as

An example of a compensation manager job is to ensure we are getting the best benefits possible
and reasonable pricing.
The third part of HR is billing. Billing is in charge of preparing the final bills for patients as well as
making payment arrangements. However, you as well have the front desk receptionist which I
consider part of the HR group. I consider the receptionist part of the Human Resource team because
they are in charge of medical records as well as scheduling appointments.
After doing some online research I came to the conclusion that there is no actual right number of
people who should work in Human Resource. The amount of employees in your work area depends
on the size of the environment.
Determine how many physicians in your practice work "full time" (defined as the minimum number
of hours considered to be a normal workweek in your practice).
For each physician who works less than full time, divide his or her average number of hours worked
in a week by the full–time standard to determine FTE status. For example, if Dr. A works 30 hours a
week in a practice that considers 40 hours to be full time, his FTE status is .75 (30/40 = .75).
Based on steps 1 and 2, above, calculate your total number of FTE physicians. For example, if you
have two full–time physicians and two physicians who each work 30 hours per week in a practice
where 40 hours is a full work–week, your number of FTE physicians would be 3.5
(1+1+.75+.75=3.5). Page Break

Quincy Troupe Analysis
1. While researching what Quincy Troupe did was he gave false information on his resume stating
that he actually graduated from Grambling when he really didn't. As a result to what happen to him
fabricating his resume was a resignation for the position of being the first official laureate. In the
article I read Quincy Troupe said "I deeply regret my ill–advised decision to include inaccurate
information on my curriculum vitae. While I attended Grambling College, I never earned a college
degree"( http://www.nytimes.com/2002/10/20/us/poet–laureate–quits–after–a–resume–lie.html) .
However he also resigned from his position as a literature professor as it say "Award–winning poet
Quincy Troupe, who stepped down as California poet laureate after it was revealed that he lied about
having a bachelor's degree, announced Tuesday that he is resigning his $140,900–a–year post as a
literature professor at UC San Diego for the same reason."(
http://articles.latimes.com/2002/dec/04/local/me–quincy4) It was a shock to a lot of his colleagues
because they believed the university should have kept him from resigning. As writing professor

What Ethos Does Abigail Establish In The Opening Paragraph?
1). Q: What ethos does Abigail establish in the opening paragraph? How do the questions contribute
to the person she presents?
A: Abigail establishes ethos by showing how knowledgeable she is about current issues, which is
considerable since women were not usually involved in politics at the time. By asking these
questions, it shows that she is not only a curious person, but that she is erudite about politics, and the
issues her husband is facing.
2). Q: Abigail describes Boston in considerable detail. What is the general impression she tries to
convey? Why do you think she chose the details she did?
A: Abigail tries to convey that Boston has been left in shambles since her husband was last there.
She uses words such as "dirty" and "abominable" to convey her feelings. She chooses these details

Q: Is the last paragraph of John's letter written tongue–in–cheek, or is he serious? What does he
mean by "the Despotism of the Peticoat"? How do you interpret this ending?
A: John is not being serious. Whether or not he agrees with Abigail, John knows that Congress will
not pass laws giving women more rights anytime soon, especially when they are so focused on war.
I think he is patronizing Abigail when he talks about how men "have only the name of Masters", as
though this is the only reason why men feel superior to their wives.
7). Q: Describe the overall tone of each of these letters. Based on the tone and information in the
letters, describe the relationship between John and Abigail Adams. What evidence of intimacy do
you find in each letter?
A: The tone of both letters was respectful, but also personal. John and Abigail Adams resect and
love each other. They are able to discuss big ideas and politics without getting into petty arguments.
John is not afraid to tease Abigail ("I cannot but laugh") which shows that they are close.
8). Q: Imagine that Abigail and John Adams had access to e–mail, and re–write these two letters as

John Quincy Adams Informative Essay
In spite of the fact that an incredible secretary of state and a man prominently fit the bill for official
office, John Quincy Adams was miserably debilitated in his administration potential as an aftereffect
of the decision of 1824. In particular, Adams fizzled as a President basically in light of the fact that
he was a poor legislator in a day and age when governmental issues had started to matter more. He
discussed attempting to serve as a man over the "pernicious weed of gathering strife" at the exact
crossroads in history when America's "second gathering framework" was rising with almost
progressive power. Likewise, his concept of the government's setting a national plan, while a grand
and principled point of view, was the wrong message

John Quincy Adams Inconsistencies
Some American leaders remain consistent while others remain inconsistent – complete consistency
does not exist. Each leader holds a different and unique viewpoint. Some choose to fully support
those beliefs while others choose to sit back and let others support them. This defines the difference
between a strong and a weak leader. John Adams did not have inconsistencies in his presidency
because he strongly supported his beliefs and made strong decisions. On the contrary, James
Madison did have inconsistencies because he did not fully stand by his beliefs and make strong
decisions. John Quincy Adams did not have inconsistencies in his presidency regarding slavery as
opposed to James Madison. John Quincy Adams' presidency did not have any inconsistencies
regarding slavery. Completely opposed to slavery, Adams went against the gag rules and slyly

just as it remained during Adams' presidency and both claimed to side with anti–slavery. Unlike
Adams, Madison enjoyed the benefits of having slaves and even took them to the White House to
serve him when he became president (Spies–Gans 12). Madison's actions did not correspond with
his word regarding slavery. Madison retained his slaves for financial reasons and made efforts to
treat slaves better in order to seem less of a hypocrite (Ridpath and Jordan 7). Although Madison
depicted himself as an abolitionist, he traded slaved and owned numerous. Madison's presidency did

Corruption And Corruption Of Corruption
In local government there is a common trend of officials bending the rules in order to attain a
political goal. Therefore, an overlapping concept that lingers in multiple governments is political
corruption. Political corruption can be defined as the use of powers by government officials for
illegitimate private gain. Like all forms of American government, structure extends in a top down
manner within the federal beltway (NY, DC and large players). Consequently, parallel patterns are
reflected beyond the beltway, in local authorities where policies are generally practiced. Like
centralized federal government, a parallel practice that is generally relevant in smaller government is
the political corruption concept of nepotism. What I argue is while corruption is illegal it stems from
the root of emotion. Stemming from an emotional agenda, nepotism is a form of illegal political
dishonesty that has been reproduced from the earliest of political history to the smallest cities in the
US. Not only is nepotism anti–democratic, it is perpetuated in the simplest form, and offers just a
moral solution.
So what is Nepotism? Nepotism is can be simply referred to the act of favoritism to a relative family
member. It is typically associated in a negative light which runs down to employment, federal work,
and other places. In essence, nepotism is everywhere. In politics, it holds no place. However there is
reason to believe that patterns of a relative in the field are acts of nepotism.

Quincy Public School Analysis
I have just begun my last year at Central Middle School in Quincy, and am getting sentimental about
how privileged I am to live in a city that has provided me with choices and opportunities for
enrichment throughout my public school years. Quincy has eleven elementary schools, five middle
schools and two public high schools, all of which benefit from community/public school
partnerships. Each Quincy public school shares a common goal to prepare its students for future
success. Quincy's teachers want the students in their classrooms to be successful in ways that go
beyond standardized measurements: graduation rates, grades, tests, and MCAS scores. They know
that success means different things to different people and sometimes need to partner with
businesses and people in the community to expand what they can offer us, beyond the bell, that will
enrich our learning experiences and interests.
Thinking back to elementary school, I was enriched from the partnerships that were formed between
businesses, members in the community, and Quincy's elementary schools. I participated in early

Abigail was admitted into the Weymouth church in 1759 in which she embraced the faith
wholeheartedly. Colonial New England did not take female education very serious which comes to
show why many females turn out to be illiterate. Education that females received mainly came from
their central household or if they could afford it, they were sent to private academies in a larger
central town. Abigail was not able to participate in school due to her poor health. Abigail was also
not taught the rules and purpose of punctuation. Due to the low population of women in the colonies
and the serious lack of labor the importance of women in America increased while the functional
value of wives and mothers had only moderately increased their economic independence without

Module 6 Only in the late 18th and early 19th centuries did ideas of affectionate marriages and
loving, sentimental relations with children become dominant in American family life. These
attitudes first took hold among the urban, educated wealthy and middle classes, and later spread to
rural and poorer Americans. This change was due to the growth and increasing sophistication of the
economy, which meant that economic issues became less pressing for families and production

inventions, such as John Deere's steel plow and Cyrus McCormick's mechanical mower–reaper,
further helped to increase farming´s efficiency. Among the major advances in transportation was
Robert Fulton's steamboat. Introduced in 1807, this allowed traders to ship anywhere at any time,
regardless of weather conditions. Meanwhile, railroads and the telegraph helped to connect
economically isolated populations. The Market Revolution was also the time during which
disparities of development emerged between the North, West and South. While the North

Abigail Adams : American History
Abigail Adams Throughout the early times of this country, the idea of women having rights was far
from necessary, but there were a few women out there, such as Abigail Adams who held high hopes
that one day this nation that the founding fathers were building up, would allow for women to be
treated equally as men. Although Abigail Adams was filled with these hopes, she always found ways
to be involved in political issues, not only because she was John Adams wife, but she also aspired
that one day America would prosper as a nation. Abigail Adams is influential to American History
for the reasons that she contributed her thoughts to John, her husband, and her son John Quincy who

Abigail grew up to be intelligent women since at home she was "a devoted reader studying the
works of William Shakespeare and John Milton among others." (Abigail Adams Bio) Only at the
age of nineteen, Abigail married John Adams, who was her third cousin, his occupation being a
lawyer at the time, and moved to a small cabin in Boston where John grew up in. Because her
husband was away from home most of the time, Abigail had the responsibility of raising her
children and taking care of the family farm. She also was one of the few women's who took control
over their home by earning money independently and deposited this money, and also giving away
money to poor female relative members.

John Quincy Adams: The Four Candidates Of 1824
There were four contenders for the presidency in 1824, each backed by a different section of the
country. John Quincy Adams was the son of the second President, John Adams. He was backed by
the northern part of the country, particularly New England. The South, and Henry Clay backed
William Crawford by those in the West. Andrew Jackson, the military hero, was the final contender.
Although Jackson won the popular vote, the people's vote, he did not get enough electoral votes to
win the election. In order to win an election, a person has to have a majority of electoral votes, and
none of the candidates had a majority of votes in the Electoral College. In that case, the Constitution
says that the vote is decided in the House of Representatives. In 1824, the three candidates who had
the most votes were to be voted on in the House. The lowest vote getter was Henry Clay, and he
asked that his votes be given to John Quincy Adams. That gave Adams the highest number of
electoral votes, and he became the next President.
Jackson wanted to ensure that he would become President in 1828. He worked toward that goal for
the four years of Adams' presidency. This helped to pull the Democratic–Republican Party even
further apart. Eventually the group that followed Jackson became the Democratic Party, and those

Jackson's platform was based on government for the common people and majority rule. He said it

or paid taxes could vote. Jefferson began easing voting restrictions. However, at that time, the

Compare And Contrast Andrew Jackson And Adams
When the year of 1807 came around, the way that America elected a president changed. In previous
elections, only the rich men were able to vote which as a result whoever promised more the wealth
was elected for president. When the common man was able to vote in 1807, the type of candidate to
win the election change. As seen in the election of 1828 the person who was more relatable to the
people, won because the common man was able to vote and so they used that opportunity and
elected whoever they thought was going to help them. Overall the people preferred Jackson over
Adams because Jackson was able to relate to the people better, and because he was a symbol of the
American dream.

Abigail Adams: Exemplary in Differences and Stereotypes Of Women in the 18th Century
Abigail Adams is one of the most well known women in our national history. Her life demonstrated
many characteristics that were exemplary in difference and also typical for her gender of the
eighteenth century. Her education, religion, marriage and gender all attributed to make her the
admirable woman we study today. In her early life, Abigail never went to school, which was
common among girls of that time. "Colonial New England took a casual attitude toward education
for females, and many remained illiterate," and "the goal of female education was to produce better
wives and mothers" . Where Abigail differed was she was taught by various family members how to
read and write, and she also had access to her father's library and was "encouraged to study secular
literature as well," beyond just studying the bible. This made her have intellectual thoughts beyond
the quiet stereotypical colonial woman. Abigail, even though ahead of her peers, was embarrassed of
her education and "was not taught the rules of punctuation, a deficiency to which she became
sensitive later in life." You see many examples of these deficits in the multitude of letters she wrote
throughout her lifetime. Abigail's father, William Smith, was an ordained minister for the "North
Parish Congregational Church of Weymouth." Some of the features of the congregational church
were that they "always considered preaching

explaining all of the knowledge and experience that he would gain, Abigail Adams is trying to

John Quincy Adams Case Analysis
Imagine being in a court room in the year 1841. The fighting, the shouting, and the intensity! It's
enough energy to cause someone's hair on their arms to stand up, and high electric, intensity spread
out the courtroom. The country, divided, is sitting on a powder keg that will erupt in 1861, and the
blood of the men in the United States will drip and stain the battle fields as each man takes his final
breath. This event will become the Civil War in the United States. But, before that bloodshed, many
vital battles would be fought in the courtroom. The Dred Scott case (1851) for example, but how
about the case eleven years prior? In a case, often forgotten, saw a former president defend a group
of blacks in a racial society. This case will be called the United States v. The Amistad, and the
former president to defend the Amistad will be John Quincy Adams, the son of John Adams (2nd
president) and the 6th president. In a letter to Roger S. Baldwin, a governor of Connecticut, John
Quincy Adams appears to question the United States Supreme Court. The letter supports that a
divide in the government lingered and that people like John Quincy Adams seemed to not trust the
Supreme Court to make the "right" decision.
It's the year 1841, and John Quincy Adams would be set to defend a group of Africans, something

Abigail Adams Thesis Statement

  • 1. Abigail Adams Thesis Statement Abigail Adams played a very prestigious role in the history of the United States of America, as she was the wife of John Adams, the 6th president of the United States. She also played an important role in the society of women and their rights as residents of our country. But let's go back to the beginning of her story––the very beginning. It all began when Abigail was born on November 11th, 1744, as the daughter of a minister. This was before she had the last name of Adams; her maiden name was Abigail Smith. She grew up with her mother and father, Elizabeth Smith and William Quincy Smith, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. As a child, she was very sickly, so her parents did not put her through formal schooling. Instead, they homeschooled her where they taught her how to read and write. She grew to be a very open–minded and well–read young lady who had a deep passion for books. When she turned 15, she met an older man by the name of John Adams, who was 27. They were actually 3rd cousins, but they fell into a love so deep that they decided to marry. They married on October 25th, 1764, when she was 19 and he was 30. This brought the two into adulthood, into a life that required a lot more work and included several bumps in throughout journey. By this time, they lived together, still in Massachusetts, but John's job as a politician kept him away from home quite often. They wrote letters back and forth constantly, reporting to each other about current situations happening ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To learn about John Quincy Adams. During his childhood these are some important events that happened. A little boy was born on July 11, 1767 in Braintree, Massachusetts. This little boy's name is John Quincy Adams. When John was 10, he went with his father to France on a mission and acted as his father's secretary. Also, from a hilltop near the family farm with his mother, he watched the famous Battle of Bunker Hill in the summer of June 1775. As far as schooling goes these are some things about his schooling. His classes were for 8–12th! He began each day at 6! After lunch it was P.E., but he retired that to go and study in his room. John always dressed in a blue uniform of tailcoat, waistcoat, and breeches, with silver buckles on his shoes. After spending several months studying Greek mathematics, John was admitted to Harvard as a junior. Because his father was America's first ambassador to Great Britain, he did not have to pay his tuition. But, the annual cost of tuition, a room, and books was about 100 dollars. The faculty included the president, three professors, and four tutors. John returned to Massachusetts in 1785 and entered Harvard College. Harvard College was founded in 1636. He graduated from Harvard College in 1787. In 1789 he finished his legal apprenticeship. He would later study at European universities and he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Abigail Adams Thesis Statement Abigail Adams was a wise and educated women that had one wonderful and challenging life. Like any other women in the 1700s grew up to become someone's wife, bear children and live in the private life of her husband's house. Abigail has a slightly different story than other women though. She grew up with her sisters and brother and had a tutor so they became literate which was not a ling for women. Educated men didn't want a wife that was smart, they wanted someone to take care of the them and the children and just about nothing else. In the following paragraphs we will talk about who the author is, a back story of who Abigail is, and the thesis of the book as a whole. The author of this book Charles W. Aker was born in Indianapolis, April 2, 1920 to Ira and Mary Bird Akers. He was a US Navy vet and served in World War II in 1942 to 1946. After he fought in WWII he became a history teacher at the Eastern Nazarene College in 1948 then became the Director of Quincy Junior College in 1959. He then taught at Geneva College in Pennsylvania after which he went to Oakland University in 1966 and was appointed as chair of the history department in 1968. As well as being a teacher he was also a member of many societies like Colonial Society of Massachusetts and the American Historical Association just to name a few. Charles was a very well established author in his time and died February 1, 2009. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_W._Akers Abigail Adams was not just the lady ... • 13. Abigail Adams : The Power Of Women By John Quincy Adams "Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of husbands. Remember all men would be tyrants if they could. If particular care and attention is not paid to the Ladies, we are determined to foment a Rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice, or representation" (C–SPAN First Ladies: Influence & Image). This is a quote from Abigail Adams, one of the most important first ladies of all times. She was not only the first lady to live in the White House but she was also the mother of a president, her son John Quincy Adams. She has contributed much influence on the country and is utterly distinct from other first ladies. Although she was not a complete feminist she did believe in women's education, which was not common at the time, and she also believed in protecting women's rights. Like most women at the time, she didn't get much of a formal education, like the males, but a curiosity for education did spike in her. It states in C–SPAN First Ladies that, her mother did indeed educate her at home. "Abigail was a delicate child, and for that reason was never sent to school. Change of air was a favorite specific for health, and this added to care for her education, was a basis of her variety of domicile" (Whitney 10). This was one of the reason why she didn't go to school to get an education, because she was delicate with any change of weather that can make her sick. • 17. Summary OfThe Divine Source Of Liberty, By John Quincy Adams One of the most notable qualities of Americans is the intense ties to family and patriotic duty. These two traits define one of America's leading families, the Adams. Abigail Adams rears her children strongly in patriotism and wishes for them to pursue their passions. In a letter to her son, John Quincy Adams, she attempts to persuade him to accompany his father, John Adams, to France to become more cultured and independent. The support from his family sets Adams on the path to later becoming a successful president. Strength being based in one's family and country extends beyond politics to include ordinary people as well. In the short story, "Christmas Eve in Civil War Times", a family struggles to get through the holidays while their loved ones are away in the Union army (Roe). The literature confronts the conflict of being unconditionally loyal to country and family. This issue of where loyalties lie is a consistent theme in historical literature, but lacks a well– deserved recognition today. A shared aspect of patriotism and family in earlier times is the importance of religion. Christian duty becomes justification for numerous political actions. Samuel Adams writes in his poem, "The Divine Source of Liberty" that God creates liberty for men, therefore, they must acknowledge it. The superficial themes of appreciating nature take on a more rebellious appearance after noticing that the poem is written during the beginning of the American Revolution, the "nation's true test" (11). The war effort for the revolution increases once the fight becomes righteous and holy. This justification angers preachers such as Ralph Waldo Emerson who is vehemently outspoken against the Mexican American War (Derleth, 96). Emerson acts as a face for a community of reformers who define social changes of the late nineteenth century. Different groups throughout American history have fought for their personal liberty; even the founding fathers could not disagree if they wanted to dissolve alliances with England or not (1776). Early Americans all have their own definition of freedom and while some aspects like religious justification and political reformation has carried over into contemporary times, other important qualities such as ... Moses Lake Community Health Center (MLCHC) is a clinic that offers medical service, dental services, and other additional services such as WIC. Having all those resources combined has been great because you no longer have to travel far, all you need in the same place. This clinic has an amazing staff that is kind and respectful. An example of a compensation manager job is to ensure we are getting the best benefits possible and reasonable pricing. The third part of HR is billing. Billing is in charge of preparing the final bills for patients as well as making payment arrangements. However, you as well have the front desk receptionist which I consider part of the HR group. I consider the receptionist part of the Human Resource team because they are in charge of medical records as well as scheduling appointments. After doing some online research I came to the conclusion that there is no actual right number of people who should work in Human Resource. The amount of employees in your work area depends on the size of the environment. Determine how many physicians in your practice work "full time" (defined as the minimum number of hours considered to be a normal workweek in your practice). For each physician who works less than full time, divide his or her average number of hours worked in a week by the full–time standard to determine FTE status. For example, if Dr. A works 30 hours a week in a practice that considers 40 hours to be full time, his FTE status is .75 (30/40 = .75). Based on steps 1 and 2, above, calculate your total number of FTE physicians. For example, if you have two full–time physicians and two physicians who each work 30 hours per week in a practice where 40 hours is a full work–week, your number of FTE physicians would be 3.5 (1+1+.75+.75=3.5). As a result to what happen to him fabricating his resume was a resignation for the position of being the first official laureate. In the article I read Quincy Troupe said "I deeply regret my ill–advised decision to include inaccurate information on my curriculum vitae. While I attended Grambling College, I never earned a college degree"( http://www.nytimes.com/2002/10/20/us/poet–laureate–quits–after–a–resume–lie.html) . However he also resigned from his position as a literature professor as it say "Award–winning poet Quincy Troupe, who stepped down as California poet laureate after it was revealed that he lied about having a bachelor's degree, announced Tuesday that he is resigning his $140,900–a–year post as a literature professor at UC San Diego for the same reason."( http://articles.latimes.com/2002/dec/04/local/me–quincy4) It was a shock to a lot of his colleagues because they believed the university should have kept him from resigning. As writing professor Eileen Myles ""He's an artist, He wasn't here because of his bachelor's degree. He would have been hired without a bachelor's degree. I'm ashamed of the university." ... A: Abigail establishes ethos by showing how knowledgeable she is about current issues, which is considerable since women were not usually involved in politics at the time. By asking these questions, it shows that she is not only a curious person, but that she is erudite about politics, and the issues her husband is facing. 2). Q: Abigail describes Boston in considerable detail. What is the general impression she tries to convey? Why do you think she chose the details she did? What does he mean by "the Despotism of the Peticoat"? How do you interpret this ending? A: John is not being serious. Whether or not he agrees with Abigail, John knows that Congress will not pass laws giving women more rights anytime soon, especially when they are so focused on war. I think he is patronizing Abigail when he talks about how men "have only the name of Masters", as though this is the only reason why men feel superior to their wives. 7). John Quincy Adams Informative Essay In spite of the fact that an incredible secretary of state and a man prominently fit the bill for official office, John Quincy Adams was miserably debilitated in his administration potential as an aftereffect of the decision of 1824. In particular, Adams fizzled as a President basically in light of the fact that he was a poor legislator in a day and age when governmental issues had started to matter more. He discussed attempting to serve as a man over the "pernicious weed of gathering strife" at the exact crossroads in history when America's "second gathering framework" was rising with almost progressive power. Likewise, his concept of the government's setting a national plan, while a grand and principled point of view, was the wrong message ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Each leader holds a different and unique viewpoint. Some choose to fully support those beliefs while others choose to sit back and let others support them. On the contrary, James Madison did have inconsistencies because he did not fully stand by his beliefs and make strong decisions. Unlike Adams, Madison enjoyed the benefits of having slaves and even took them to the White House to serve him when he became president (Spies–Gans 12). • 45. Corruption And Corruption Of Corruption In local government there is a common trend of officials bending the rules in order to attain a political goal. Therefore, an overlapping concept that lingers in multiple governments is political corruption. Political corruption can be defined as the use of powers by government officials for illegitimate private gain. Like all forms of American government, structure extends in a top down manner within the federal beltway (NY, DC and large players). Consequently, parallel patterns are reflected beyond the beltway, in local authorities where policies are generally practiced. Like centralized federal government, a parallel practice that is generally relevant in smaller government is the political corruption concept of nepotism. What I argue is while corruption is illegal it stems from the root of emotion. Stemming from an emotional agenda, nepotism is a form of illegal political dishonesty that has been reproduced from the earliest of political history to the smallest cities in the US. Not only is nepotism anti–democratic, it is perpetuated in the simplest form, and offers just a moral solution. So what is Nepotism? Nepotism is can be simply referred to the act of favoritism to a relative family member. It is typically associated in a negative light which runs down to employment, federal work, and other places. In essence, nepotism is everywhere. In politics, it holds no place. However there is reason to believe that patterns of a relative in the field are acts of nepotism. ... Quincy Public School Analysis I have just begun my last year at Central Middle School in Quincy, and am getting sentimental about how privileged I am to live in a city that has provided me with choices and opportunities for enrichment throughout my public school years. Quincy has eleven elementary schools, five middle schools and two public high schools, all of which benefit from community/public school partnerships. Each Quincy public school shares a common goal to prepare its students for future success. Quincy's teachers want the students in their classrooms to be successful in ways that go beyond standardized measurements: graduation rates, grades, tests, and MCAS scores. They know that success means different things to different people and sometimes need to partner with businesses and people in the community to expand what they can offer us, beyond the bell, that will enrich our learning experiences and interests. Thinking back to elementary school, I was enriched from the partnerships that were formed between businesses, members in the community, and Quincy's elementary schools. John Quincy Adams was the son of the second President, John Adams. He was backed by the northern part of the country, particularly New England. The South, and Henry Clay backed William Crawford by those in the West. Andrew Jackson, the military hero, was the final contender. Although Jackson won the popular vote, the people's vote, he did not get enough electoral votes to win the election. In order to win an election, a person has to have a majority of electoral votes, and none of the candidates had a majority of votes in the Electoral College. In that case, the Constitution says that the vote is decided in the House of Representatives. In 1824, the three candidates who had the most votes were to be voted on in the House. Her life demonstrated many characteristics that were exemplary in difference and also typical for her gender of the eighteenth century. Her education, religion, marriage and gender all attributed to make her the admirable woman we study today. In her early life, Abigail never went to school, which was common among girls of that time. "Colonial New England took a casual attitude toward education for females, and many remained illiterate," and "the goal of female education was to produce better wives and mothers" . Where Abigail differed was she was taught by various family members how to read and write, and she also had access to her father's library and was "encouraged to study secular literature as well," beyond just studying the bible. This made her have intellectual thoughts beyond the quiet stereotypical colonial woman. Abigail, even though ahead of her peers, was embarrassed of her education and "was not taught the rules of punctuation, a deficiency to which she became sensitive later in life." It's enough energy to cause someone's hair on their arms to stand up, and high electric, intensity spread out the courtroom. The country, divided, is sitting on a powder keg that will erupt in 1861, and the blood of the men in the United States will drip and stain the battle fields as each man takes his final breath. This event will become the Civil War in the United States. But, before that bloodshed, many vital battles would be fought in the courtroom. The Dred Scott case (1851) for example, but how about the case eleven years prior? In a case, often forgotten, saw a former president defend a group of blacks in a racial society. This case will be called the United States v. The Amistad, and the former president to defend the Amistad will be John Quincy Adams, the son of John Adams (2nd president) and the 6th president. In a letter to Roger S. Baldwin, a governor of Connecticut, John Quincy Adams appears to question the United States Supreme Court. The letter supports that a divide in the government lingered and that people like John Quincy Adams seemed to not trust the Supreme Court to make the "right" decision. It's the year 1841, and John Quincy Adams would be set to defend a group of Africans, something that's not common during the time period, and Adams would become a Atticus Finch, a character from To Kill A Mocking Bird (July 11, 1960).
