Chapter Two I ran away, sweating uncontrollably, breathing heavily as screams erupted behind me. I

We are knocking on the door of total independence, something we have never fully understood. We

ride. Some of us will go on to college, some will enter into the work force, and most of us are still

Ever since I can just about remember i have been skiing. It started off at a ski resort by the city I
grew up in, they were just little hills and they only took a minute to get down. But that's where it all
started those little hills. My friends and I would go there almost every weekend during the winter to
go off the jumps and race down the slopes. As much as I loved going down those hills they will
never compare to the mountains of colorado. I was about 15 years old when we first went to

Every step is heavy, as we reached the base of the hill, where a super steep incline awaits. We

Rhetorical Analysis "Chandelier" was one of the most popular songs of the year 2014. It debuted on
an album titled "1000 forms of fear" by the song artist Sia. Chandelier was so popular because it
was perceived as a summer party anthem. It was one that had a very catchy tune, and it had a lot of
notability from it's music video. Therefore, this song was constantly played on the radio and was
heard by millions of people. However, this song wasn't meant to be a party anthem. The lyrics and
mood of the song take a dark turn, because in actuality the song is talking about someone who is
using partying to cope with their troubles. Unfortunately, most people weren't able to notice what
was really going on because they did not heed to the lyrics that they were singing. The first two
stanzas of "Chandelier" are a visual on what a girl is doing at a party, and what she is thinking about.
It is apparent that she is drinking and trying to have fun, but it is not for any random reason. The girl
is drinking so much and making herself available to anybody (specifically guys) that want to have a
good time because she is trying to push down and away what she is going through. Repetition of
lyrics such as "1 2 3, 1 2 3, drink" emphasize the fact that the girl is purposely making herself drunk.
It is as if she is trying to cloud her mind. This leads to the chorus and post–chorus. That includes the
famous line " I'm gonna swing from the chandelier". When actually processing this line, the
meaning of it changes. It doesn't mean that the girl is going to literally swing from a chandelier, but
it does mean that she is going to let loose with no regrets. The line after that , " I'm gonna live like
tomorrow doesn't exist" seconds that statement. It is almost like a you only live once type of
situation. Sia then utilizes a simile saying that she's going to fly like a bird and follows that up with
"feel my tears as they dry." That simile and the line after emphasized the fact that the girl is totally
letting loose, and that it's making her feel as if her sadness is going away. In the post–chorus
however, the mood completely shifts being that the girl is basically admitting that she is unstable.

As some point we started to here the name Matt come into conversation but as I wasn't living at

All he talked about was the two roads and that was where the story was taking place. Usually writers
have their setting be a major city, state, country or even in the future and past. Not many writers
would make their setting two roads that diverged in a yellow wood, but Robert Frost did a good job
describing and making you imagine the two roads while you were reading the story. Robert Frost
wrote a little four paragraph poem, but he didn't use much figurative language.
Both Thank You Ma'am and The Road Not Taken both had the characters doing what they wanted

The Importance Of My Senior Year Of High School
When thinking about my senior year of high school I start to think about a tradition that happened
every year with the senior class. It seems wired but the senior class always seemed to be up to
something every week. I remember thinking my Jr year the my senior class was gonna change how
people viewed us. I was so right.
You see every year before are home football game against Creighton Prep. Our schools for years
would be fighting back and forth. It got to the point where every year the week of the big game the
boys at Prep would walk into Westside and either are pools or our courage rock would be covered in
blue paint. I remember my senior year was the year that everything changed. We where tired of prep
always picking on us and Westside students where not allowed to retaliate. If we where caught doing
so we wouldn't be able to walk to the stage come graduation day.
Picture this. It was Thursday night around 8:30pm the setting was a high school football field. All
the lights where one and there where about 500 students on the field. The student had tents put up.
Some people just brought sleeping bags. You can see the football players throwing a football back a
forth. There where about 25 teacher that where there also just walking around and hanging out with
the students. There was the wrestling team and baseball boy protecting the entrances along with
some of the male teachers. It was a sight to see just knowing that us students where not going to do

Some people's personalities are like pineapples. rough and tough on the outside and soft out in
inside. Take Squeaky for example. She is very rough on the inside. Her confidence makes her stay
strong and tough, but on the inside of her, is where she's caring for her brother, Raymond.
At first, you might interpret that Squeaky is not nice at all when she is really, is a confident girl who

A Short Story : The Story Of The Grandfathers
John heard gunshots so he ran down stairs and John saw his grandparents lying on the ground.
"Grandma, grandpa!" he call 911. "This is an emergency come quickly, as quick as you can please!"
He was really angry at what happened, that he couldn't wait for the police so he ran off to the city
and When he ran he saw a guy walking into a house with a gun and John yelled "stop there don't
move!"
The guy that killed his grandparents ran into the house, John ran in too without thinking. "Didn't I
tell you not to move". The murderer said "shut it kid or you're gonna be next, so stay here and don't
move", So John didn't move. When the murderer went up stairs John walked around the house just
like he would at his own house. John found a suspicious suitcase that was closed, "I wonder what
