Brain-Based Lesson Plan
I. Objectives
At the end of the session the pupils are expected to:
a. identify the basic parts of a flower
b. count quantities 1 up to 10
c. tell the importance of flowers
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Identifying the Basic Parts of a Flower

Materials: pictures, activity sheets
Values: caring
III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Review
2. Motivation
Read the poem “My Flower”
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
Show to the class a Sunflower
Ask the pupils to name the flower
The teacher introduces to the class each part of the flower
BASIC PARTS OF A FLOWER
Other Examples:
Show different pictures of the flowers
Let the pupils name the flowers being shown.
Identify the size of each flower.
Count the number of petals in each flower
The teacher writes the name of flowers given on the board

Ask:
What is the first letter of each word?
Give the initial sound of each word.
How many syllables are there in each word?
2. Individual Activity
Finger painting
Painting
Collage making
3. Group Activity
Group I
Direction: Identify the color s and sizes of the flowers.
Group II
Direction: Count the number of petals in each flower.
Group III
Direction: Tell whether the flowers are small or big. Write S for small and B for big.
Group IV
Direction: Role plays on how to take care the flowers.
Group V
Direction: Sing a song entitled “My Beautiful Flower”
C. Application
Bring the pupils to the flower garden in the school.
D. Generalization
What are the basic parts of a flower?
Why flowers are important?
IV. Evaluation
Direction: Draw your favorite flower and colored it.
V. Assignment
Direction: Bring 2 samples of flowers you have at home.

  • 1. Brain-Based Lesson Plan I. Objectives At the end of the session the pupils are expected to: a. identify the basic parts of a flower b. count quantities 1 up to 10 c. tell the importance of flowers II. Subject Matter Topic: Identifying the Basic Parts of a Flower References: NCKG Materials: pictures, activity sheets Values: caring III. Procedure A. Preparatory Activities 1. Review 2. Motivation Read the poem “My Flower” B. Developmental Activities 1. Presentation Show to the class a Sunflower Ask the pupils to name the flower The teacher introduces to the class each part of the flower
  • 2. BASIC PARTS OF A FLOWER Other Examples: Show different pictures of the flowers Let the pupils name the flowers being shown. Identify the size of each flower. Count the number of petals in each flower The teacher writes the name of flowers given on the board sampaguita gumamela santan orchid Ask: What is the first letter of each word? Give the initial sound of each word. How many syllables are there in each word? 2. Individual Activity Finger painting Painting Collage making
  • 3. 3. Group Activity Group I Direction: Identify the color s and sizes of the flowers. Group II Direction: Count the number of petals in each flower. Group III Direction: Tell whether the flowers are small or big. Write S for small and B for big. Group IV Direction: Role plays on how to take care the flowers. Group V Direction: Sing a song entitled “My Beautiful Flower” C. Application Bring the pupils to the flower garden in the school. D. Generalization What are the basic parts of a flower? Why flowers are important? IV. Evaluation Direction: Draw your favorite flower and colored it. V. Assignment Direction: Bring 2 samples of flowers you have at home.
