Curricular statement : Create an awareness to develop positive attitude to natural farming methods.

1. remembering the hard labor of the farmers. 
2. understanding the importance of agriculture. 
3. applying the new knowledge in their experience.
4. analyzing the present situation with their experience. 
5. evaluating the natural farming methods.

Content analysis : Ideational content 
Daisy’s song as its very name indicates is a simple song sung by a small and beautiful 
flower. The song is an expression of its joy and pride in being natures foster Child because 
he is couched in the thorn of grass like a King. 
: Linguistic Content 
New words like stare, teeming grass couch, lass 
Pre – requisites : The learner, 
May know the seasonal changes 
May know the co-operative work in agriculture 
Teaching learning resources : Source book, Course book, Chart, video and power point presentation.

Class room interaction procedure 
Pupil’s response 
Informal interaction: 
The teacher initiates an informal interaction with the pupils and she tries to 
sustain the interest throughout the class. 
Good morning children! 
How are you? 
Have you heard about the flowers? 
Which flowers do you like the most? 
Entry activity: 
Teacher creates a mental readiness in the pupils by asking about their 
garden. What are the flowers you have in your garden? 
Do you like to converse with your flowers? 
(Video clippings on garden) 
Link Talk: 
Teacher leads the learners to the poem ‘Daisy’s song’ and write the 
title and author’s name on the blackboard. 
Teacher shows the picture of the daisy flower and the description of the 
author.

Model reading by the teacher: 
Teacher reads the poem with appropriate rhythm and intonation. 
Silent reading by the pupil. 
Teacher asks the pupils to have silent reading and to find out the new 
words. Teacher explains the meaning through flash cards. 
Scaffolded reading 
Teacher asks some scaffolding questions to the whole class 
(power point presentation) 
a) What is the title of the poem? 
b) Who is the author of the poem Daisy’s song? 
c) Who is the singer of this poem? 
d) Why does the poet say the moon is silver proud? 
e) Why does the Daisy flower say it leads the life of a king in spring? 
f) What is its throne? 
g) Who sings its lullaby? 
h) Does the poet present the daisy flower as a boy or a girl?

Good morning children! How are you? Have you heard about the flowers? Which flowers do you like the most? Entry activity: Teacher creates a mental readiness in the pupils by asking about their garden. What are the flowers you have in your garden? Do you like to converse with your flowers? (Video clippings on garden) Link Talk: Teacher leads the learners to the poem ‘Daisy’s song’ and write the title and author’s name on the blackboard. Teacher shows the picture of the daisy flower and the description of the author.
