Markan Priority
The Gospels narrate the life of Jesus in four seperate, yet similar, accounts by different authors.
While there are other theories as to which Gospel came first (the Synoptic Problem), the most
widely accepted now is the Markan Priority (Neal, 26). This theory states that Mark came first with
Matthew and Luke each using it as their basis (Neal, 26). An interesting fact about Mark is that
while it shares 76% of its content with Mathew and Luke, the ending is lacking what the latter two
have (Neal, 27). While Mathew and Luke detail Christ's resurrected body appearing to the disciples
and issuing the Great Commission in the end, Mark ends his account with Mary Magdalene, Mary
the mother of James, and Salome finding Jesus's grave empty and a young ... Show more content on

In fact, throughout the book, Mark does not give the disciples much credit at all in terms of being
great, smart people (Neal, 34). The value in Mark's ending is that it flows with the rest of the book
in that it is raw and personal–feeling. Not only that, but being the original ending closest to the
actual events, it seems most reliable. In fact, since we in this class are using the Markan Theory, it
seems that source Q must have mentioned the ending the other Gospels have, since they are based
off of Mark. Otherwise, what would this ending be based off?
While the Gospel according to Mark does not end the way the others do, it should not be dismissed
or looked down upon. Being the (most likely) oldest book written allows Mark to have some
priority. Also, seemingly being the most raw, "uncut" Gospel allows those who study it to have a
basis on why its original ending has value. Though it cannot be known exactly why Mark lacks the
ending the other Gospels have, the fact that there may be a source Q for Matthew and Luke could be
the answer as to where they received that

Nursing Leadership Priorities
Two nursing leadership priorities, nurse retention and increasing the education level of the registered
nurse (RN) are crucial to the safety of the patients and the stability and respectability of the nursing
profession at Children's Hospital. In order to implement these leadership priorities, the objective is
to reinvent the organizational culture of nursing at Children's Hospital through the use of
transformational leadership and innovation theory.
I. NURSE RETENTION
A. Nurse retention affects quality of care and costs to the organization.
1. The quality of patient care is enhanced by nurse retention. The National Database of Nursing
Quality Indicators (NDNQI) indicates that years of nursing experience is related to a decrease in

Transformational leadership in nursing is positively related to job satisfaction, decreased burnout,
and overall staff well–being, and nurse retention (Weberg, 2010)
2. Transformational leaders who inspire, stimulate intellect, have charisma and provide individual
consideration have a positive impact on nurse retention (Huber, 2014)
3. Transformational leadership can inspire nurses to attain higher levels of education, including the
BSN.
B. Organizational culture change related to nursing retention and increasing the educational level of
the RN can be accomplished by using Innovation Theory.
1. Innovation theory involves leadership being creative, abandoning the obsolete, and implementing
new processes and ways of thinking (Huber, 2014).
2. Leaders who use Innovation Theory for change are charismatic, self–confident, and ambitious
(Huber, 2014).
C. Analyze current data on nurse retention and the current BSN percentage of nurses on staff, set
goals within the organization, implement leadership strategies to achieve these goals, then measure
outcomes in the next four years.
1. The organization should set a goal of retaining 80% of the nursing staff each year over the next

What Are The Challenges Of A Senior Team Leader
Introduction:
The World Health Organization (WHO) is one of the United Nations (UN) agencies. WHO is
working in 150 countries with the mission to provide a healthier life (WHO 2016). The WHO's
working strategy is to work with governments and other local and international partners to achieve
their mutual health related goals (WHO 2016). To obtain these goals, strong leadership skills and
understanding of the local problems is critical for anyone in a decision making position. Mendenhall
et al (2012) deliberated that leaders who lead teams at an international level must have the capability
to bring change in the organization by not only creating strong linkages within their teams, but also
involve with internal and external stakeholders, including counterparts, other leaders, the people
from the various governments and organizations they work with. This requires cross–cultural
understanding and the ability to work within and across different sectors. For example, not only
health, but also governance and education.
This paper examines the challenges (which may be) experienced by an official who is recently
appointed as a senior team leader in the WHO in Geneva, during the first thirty days of leaders'
engagement. A leader needs to focus on four domains 1) creating

Question 1: Explain the competitive priorities for both product lines (customized furniture and
standard furniture)
The priority of the company is the department of the customized furniture. But with both
departments, there are different priorities. For customized furniture, the priority is to create a
creative design, with the highest quality possible. For the standard furniture, the priority is deliver
on time and a good price–quality ratio.
Question 2: Identify the OPP (Order Penetration Point) of each productlines
The OPP for the custom made pieces of furniture is the moment Chad's staff start working on a
project. The whole project is specifically made for one customer from the beginning.
The OPP for the Standard pieces is the moment that a customer buys the (already fully assembled)
product. At that moment in time, the pieces are for that specific customer.
Question 3: Which flow strategy would be the most effective for each of the product lines?
For the custom made pieces flexible is the best strategy. This focuses on individual pieces. For the
standard pieces, the line strategy is the best strategy. This strategy focuses on the whole line, not on
individual pieces.
Question 4: What would you advice Chad 's to do to solve the current problems?
We would advise Chad to start a second factory. The current factory should be used for only the

As far as the claims are concerned, this is a second opportunity for amending them before the
international preliminary examination starts (the first being by way of Article 19 amendments
submitted to the International Bureau after receipt of the international search report). In practice,
most applicants filing a demand for international preliminary examination do not make use of the
possibility of amending the claims under Article 19, unless publication of the amendments is desired
[see Module 8 section 8.2]. Where it is clear from the references cited in the ISR and the written
opinion of the ISA that the PCT application requires amendments, applicants typically furnish their
amendments to the IPEA together with the demand. 9.3 Written Opinion of the IPEA The written
opinion of the ISA is generally used as the first written opinion of the IPEA, particularly if the ISA
and the IPEA are the same. In this case, you will most likely not receive a “second” written
opinion from the IPEA. You should therefore file any Article 34 amendments and/or any arguments
in relation to the written opinion of the ISA together with the demand. International preliminary
examination does not usually start until after the ISA has drawn up the ISR and the written opinion.

Critique Of Pozzoli Case: Inventive Step Test
Critique of Pozzoli case (Inventive step test)
Introduction
A patent is an exclusive right granted for an invention, product or process that provides a new way
of doing something, or that offers a new technical solution to a problem. An invention in general
must fulfill certain criteria in order to be protected by a patent. For example, the Patents Act, 1970 in
S. 2(1) (j) defines invention as a new product or process involving an inventive step and capable of
industrial application. In other words, an invention in order to be patentable must show an element
of novelty, must show "an inventive step", and must be of practical use. Particularly, the Patents Act,
1970 defines "inventive step" as a feature of an invention that involves technical advance as
compared to the existing knowledge or having economic significance or both and that makes the
invention not obvious to a person skilled in the art. In other words, patent rights are not available for
new advances that are merely obvious extensions or modifications of prior designs. Besides, the
requirement of difference over prior art, there is a requirement to establish the extent of common
general knowledge that exists while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

patent was invalid based on prior use and prior publication. The Court found that the invention in

Volkswagen Of America 's New Process For Managing Priorities
Volkswagen of America's new process for managing priorities is much more methodical than how
things were done previously. Companies can successfully manage priorities by adhering to the
following guidelines: defining the company's value, developing "logical, fact–based prioritization
processes", creating frameworks that "resolve resource allocation conflicts... [and] encourage
employee collaboration" (Townsend). The new process seemed to follow these guidelines very
closely. VWoA identified and ranked business goals and designed a blueprint for the company. The
new process called for business units to communicate their projects, which would be laid out against
VWoA's blueprint. At this stage, business units could not only see how their projects affected
company goals but also how they related to other business unit projects. Business units drew up
their own project proposals and ranked them in the order they desired. Projects were then placed in
portfolios of enterprise goals and executed in order of portfolio rank. The new process resulted in
some business units not seeing any of their projects funded. This resulted in disappointed and
distressed unit leads. Complaints regarding the new process asserted that it was "too theoretical" and
biased towards IT infrastructure projects. Although there are hypothetical elements in the new
process, any process for managing priorities cannot be one hundred percent certain; the process
serves only as a guide to reach desired outcomes.

Interspecies Priority Effect
Priority effects (the advantage an earlier arriving species or genotype within a species has over a
later arriving species) within a species of marine diatoms. Interspecies priority effects have been
well studied, but few studies have examined the beneficial effects early arrival has at the intra–
species level (Sefbom, Sassenhagen, Rengefors, & Godhe, 2015). Diatoms are an appropriate choice
for this test species, as it has been previously shown that despite their widespread distribution, the
species exhibits low gene flow even among relatively close neighboring populations. The study used
microcosms and eliminated the variable of numerical advantage, to highlight the importance that

Priority Health Issues
Priority Health Issue
Diabetes is a non–communicable, metabolic illness that affects numerous community members in
Wayne County, MI. It's one of many leading cause of death, accounting for 28.5 deaths per 100,000
people (Lewis, 2014, p. 18). It's a disease that affects the low–income communities and causes
detrimental effects if gone untreated. There are a number of metabolic illnesses where the person
can have high blood glucose (blood sugar) and encounter polyuria (frequent urinating). In addition,
a person can also feel really hungry and really thirsty also. Diabetes can and is often neglected;
therefore, people undergo negative impacts of it, which leads to debilitating results. Some of the
leading results are: cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, lower limb amputations, and adult–onset
blindness (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, n.d.). Not only can these results occur, but
death can also occur from diabetes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It continues to affects children – diabetes hospitalizations per 10,000 children in Wayne County is
6.3, excluding newborns (). It's a widespread preventative disease that people can be unaware of
having if there's a lack of education and depending on the living environment. Access to healthcare
is important because living in lower income housing/communities puts one in a pre–exposed
situation.
Risk Factors/Prevention
People need to be educated about the symptoms and pre–exposure risk for diabetes. There are many
factors that play a role in pre–exposure like, education, lifestyle choices, income and race. Diabetes
is often found in lower–income communities in the Wayne County area, which means that diet is an
important aspect of preventative care. Diabetes can cause severe health issues such as cardiovascular
disease, blindness, kidney failure, and minimizing–extremity amputations.

One of the policy alternatives is the choice of the Priority Enforcement Program (PEP) in place of
the Secure Community Program. Various factors must be considered to determine whether the PEP
will be successful or whether the country should continue with the Secure Communities Program.
The second alternative is to explore the alternatives to detention. The third alternative is to target
immigrants that pose the greatest danger to the community. The fourth alternative is to consider
privatizing the detention functions of ICE. The final alternative is for the government to prioritize

The majority of immigrants take over three months in detention centers while their cases are
addressed. The costs incurred by the government leads to over $2 billion in spending annually. The
excessive costs can be reduced by using cheaper alternatives that do not require the government to
pay for the immigrant's accommodation. These alternatives include increased use of ankle bracelets,
and also in–person (similar to probation) and electronic monitoring systems. The immigrants can be
forced to wear ankle bracelets and also meet with ICE agents in ICE offices periodically, weekly,
monthly or annually depending on the escape/flight risk or threat of the individual. Studies have
shown that many immigrants comply with regulations and also attend their court hearings. Failure to
appear to hearings or scheduled check–up visits without justification would then result in mandatory
detention and additional charges. Using these alternatives would lead to significant reduction in

Public Transport And How It Can Be Prioritised Through...
Abstract
This paper addresses the importance of public transport and how it can be prioritised through traffic
engineering. Numerous methods for giving public transport priority have been researched and
discussed. Examples are provided where those techniques are implemented and their performance is
evaluated. Research proves that priority to public transport in urban areas is feasible and can lead to
reduced travel times while having a minor impact on the traffic network.
1. Introduction
As cities are expanding and traffic congestion is increasing, there is growing demand for more
regular and efficient public transport. This is in part to reduce pollution and noise levels (European
Commision Dictorate–General for Environment, 2004). European policy–makers and investors have
in fact influenced a modal shift towards more public, rather than private transport in recent years
(Bund, n.d.).
Traffic engineering involves the planning and management of urban road infrastructures and
networks (Institute of Transportation Engineers, 1999) for various modes of transport, such as
vehicles (private, public and commercial), bicycles and pedestrians. Its purpose is to find solutions
to transport infrastructures in order to provide the best transport systems for people and goods in
terms of cost, time, safety and environmental impact.
There are three key benefits in prioritising public transport in urban environments. The first is that
by reducing congestion, commercial transport becomes

Anna hearing the man's voice is inconsistent with depression. The signs and symptoms of
depression do not include hearing voices. If the client (Anna) refuses treatment, list two behaviors

Personal Narrative Reflection Paper
My second year of university was BUSY!
In addition to taking a full course load, I also had jobs on campus and was volunteering. Plus, I had
to fit in my workout regime, social time, 'me' time, and best of all, sleep. And I was able to do all of

When my friends ask me how I managed to pull that off, most of the time I would tell them the
truth, which is "I really don't know". But there was a lot of careful consideration that went into
basically my every action so that I could stay on top of all of my responsibilities.
There's one key thing that I did that made my success possible: PRIORITIZE.

But, this meant that the majority of the times that most would consider free time, I was basically
'on–call'. We were supposed to have our doors open and phones on basically anytime we were in the
building in case someone needed us. So, unless I had some school related crises (AKA the millions
of times I left papers till the last minute), my time belonged to the first years. When I took the job, I
knew that was the commitment I was making.
And honestly, I loved the job. I loved it so much that I'm doing it again my third year, but as a full–

such as a frosh (first year) wanting to vent to someone, but I had a paper due in an hour.
PRIORITY THREE:

Volkswagen Of Americ Managing It Priorities
Team 11
Volkswagen of AmericaManaging IT Priorities
1. What is your assessment of the new process for managing priorities at Volkswagen of America?
Are the criticisms justified? Is it an improvement over the old process?
We believe that the new process for managing priorities was well structured and aligned with the
business goals but with few exceptions. Let's try to understand why?
VWoA laid out their five next round of growth goals (NRG) and built a business architecture with
the help of different organizational entities to manage priorities of different projects in order to
implement these goals. The ELT was given the primary responsibility along with ITSC, PMO,
BPTO and DBC playing important roles while selecting and prioritizing projects. The Digital
Business Council was to play the most challenging role here as it would work with different
Business Unit managers in order to select and prioritize projects, keeping in mind a way to
categorize projects, assess their business impact, aligning project with business goals and making
tradeoff decisions. The process played out in three phases initiated by PMO. Thus, this process is
well structured and would help DBC to consider different trade–offs while selecting and prioritizing
projects.
The only exception is that we would recommend to include members of VWG while drafting the
goal portfolios of the company so that certain projects that impacted on the global level could also
be funded. If they had included them, then

In December 2004, it was decided that direct advances to priority sector will be encouraged, thus
beginning a phased withdrawal of eligibility in special bonds of specified institutions.
1.3
In paragraph 90 of the Annual Policy, ibid, it was stated that "one view is that lending to
any infrastructure project should be made eligible for priority sector lending while making
subtargets fungible within the overall target. There is another view that enlargement of areas has
resulted in loss of focus. It is also held that credit growth in housing, venture capital and
infrastructure has been strong while it has been sluggish in agriculture and small industries. Further,
it is argued that only sectors that impact large population, weaker sections and are employment–
intensive such as agriculture, tiny and small industry should be eligible for priority sector. Since
there are several issues that need to be considered in this regard, it is appropriate that these are
debated and examined in depth".

networks are designed using the wireless networks such as WLANs and fiber networks like PONs
(Passive Optical Networks). Therefore FiWi networks having advantages of both users mobility
support as well as high bandwidth. But the major problem with this networks is as the number of
mobile user's increases, queueing delay is increasing in FiWi's Optical Network Unit (ONU). There
are number of methods recently proposed for minimizing this queueing delay for bandwidth
allocation. However, this methods are only working on PONs and WLANs and hence not
considering the state of ONU. Therefore performance of FiWi networks is poor in terms of
throughput and queuing delay. For any kind of FiWi networks improving its performance in terms of
throughput is very vital. This can be possible by presenting the efficient queueing delay
minimization method for FiWi networks. This is main research problem for this domain. 2.

Is Cybersecurity A Priority At Target?
1. Was Cybersecurity a priority at Target?
Cybersecurity was not a priority for Target, the completion of an investigation revealed that the
upper management at Target knew about the lax in security and it was never remedied. Target was
warned by the federal government along with their Cybersecurity staff, that their system should be
updated, and this was never completed. The Target Corporation knew about the latest threats and
failed to react, this was due to their treating the threat like any other (Turban & Volonino & Wood,
2015, pg 143–144).
2. How did lax security impact Target's sales revenue and profit performance?
The sales revenue and profit performance of Target was enormously affected. In February 2014
Targets profit dropped by 40 percent and sales fell over 5 percent. The breach, from what was
determined by tech firm Gartner, estimated to be from $400 to $450 million, this is the cost
accumulated with strengthening their IT security, law suits filed and fees from credit card companies
and services (Turban & Volonino & Wood, 2015, pg 143). Although the former CEO Steinhafel
attempted to reassure customers that Target will gain back their confidence, and sales will increase,
six months after the breach Target was unsure when this will occur (Turban & Volonino & Wood,
2015, pg. 143).
3. According to experts, how was the data breach executed?
This Target breach stemmed from malicious software that was used on the Point of Service devices

The Prioritization Of Project Management
The Prioritization of Projects
Meaning of Priority:
It is relative right of prerequisite to the rare assets. On the off chance that the assets are high there is
no need of prioritize things. Here the assets are the things like time, human assets like staffing, spot
to do work and numerous different assets.
There are two separate ideas of that could be dead set from framework building and administration
of the framework designing activities. In this we have define the particular necessities of the stake
holders what they need and how they are eager to exchange the item in given assets.
Meaning of Decision Making:
A Decision is something that some individual picks the conceivable decisions of his own by
considering the potential outcomes. The entire motivation behind incorporating in the choice making
methodology is to settle on a balanced choice. Sound choice making means an inclination that is
suitable to effectively existing objectives inside the given conditions and compels of the
undertaking.
In project management, decisions are required throughout triple constrains:
Scope (how much functionality, at what quality level, for how many users, etc.)
Schedule ( can activities be crashed , can activities be aligned differently, can provider change its
schedule, can you skip/defer activities , can milestones be missed or eliminated, etc.)
Cost (can a segment of work be allowed to come in over cost; can you reduce the cost of a segment;
can you afford a scope change etc.)

Volkswagen of America: Managing IT priorities
Volkswagen, as the name suggests means "people's car" and defines its objectives to design and
manufacture cars which are fuel efficient and affordable. With continuous improvement,
Volkswagen has not only subjugated the automotive market with respect to its low priced cars, but
also earned industry acknowledgement. The core competency of Volkswagen is structured to build
customer loyalty. Although, Volkswagen suffered from erratic sales pattern when the company
introduced a new model commonly called as the "Himalayas chart" due to its rise and falls (Austin,

Moreover the internet based communication through this enterprise system made it easy for the ELT
to coordinate their activities through a single point of governance between the consultants of
gedasUSA and other e–business teams. Thus this communication facilitated by the e–business teams
through the development of web applications to administer their IT projects strengthened
Volkswagens operations.
IT alignment is crucial for the growth of businesses and in the case of Volkswagen with several
independent units, the alignment of their business with IT is more needed. This is because with the
implementation of IT, it would be more conducive for Volkswagen to record and comprehend sales
figures. Also the communication between these units is needed as they are not integrated throughout
the enterprise so a technology based communication platform is required to align their business
strategies. This alignment was achieved to some extent by the establishment of the Business
Process, Technology and Organization (BPTO) which was an internal IT department to manage and
prioritize IT projects in coordination with the IT steering committee (ITSC) which comprised of
senior business and IT representative to guide the approval of the process. I feel that the workshop

Basic Parameters That Affect The Performance
7. Basic Parameters That Affect The Performance in RTOS
7.1 Multi–tasking and preemptable:
In RTOS the system have to be multitasking and preemptable because those two features make the
RTOS Scheduler end any lower priority task to execute the higher ones or to release some resources
for other tasks that urgently need those resources. Also the system have to handle different level of
priorities of interrupts.(Yerraballi,R. 2000)
7.2 Dynamic deadline identification:
In some scheduling algorithms such as (EDF)the deadline is converted to priority levels. Then we
can control priorities by controlling the deadlines."Although such an approach is error prone,
nonetheless it is employed for lack of a better solution"(Buttazzo, 2005).
7.3 Predictable synchronization:
The threads of the system need to communication and to be synchronized in a timely efficient and
predictable way.
7.4 Sufficient Priority Levels:
In the scheduling algorithms based on priorities. There must be enough levels of priorities. Priority
inversion occur when a low level priority hold the resource that the the high level priority is waiting
for or blocked due to this resource, and the lower priority is delayed because low priority task. "Two
workarounds in dealing with priority inversion, namely priority inheritance and priority ceiling
protocols (PCP), need sufficient priority levels."
7.5 Predefined latencies:
The timing of the systems must be predictable and this is done by defining task switching

A Reflection On Capstone Nursing Practicum
As N412L: Capstone Nursing Practicum comes to a close, I can reflect on my clinical experiences in
this course and my progress towards meeting my defined behavioral objectives. At the beginning of
this course, I set goals for myself, of which I planned to accomplish by the time this term came to a
close. These objectives included: effective communication of the patient's care summary in SBAR
format, safe and efficient administration of intravenous medications, successful performance of
tracheostomy care, and accurate physical assessment and patient monitoring. While I still have much
to learn as I step into the role of a graduate nurse, I have accomplished my behavioral objectives for
this semester.
Description
Throughout the second half of the semester, I have not made any significant changes to my pre–
clinical routine. I still prepare and gather my supplies the evening beforehand, and I try to avoid
during schoolwork in order to facilitate restful sleep. However, upon arriving to the unit, I have
developed a familiarity with the staff and environment that has reduced my stress and anxiety levels,
allowing me to focus more attention on my patient assignment for the day. Although we do not have
assigned preceptors, I have developed a mentoring relationship with two of the nurses on the unit
and will work with those staff members if available. As we have gotten to know and trust one
another, we do not have to spend the first part of our shift familiarizing ourselves,

Projects are then scored and prioritized based on the criteria. Once projects are prioritized and those
priorities are reviewed and discussed, the department can evaluate the results to determine funding
and resource allocation for the higher priority projects.
A final step involves assessing how and when (or if) to fund the lower priority projects in the future
if/when more resources become available.
Creating and using a prioritization matrix involves five simple steps:
1. Determine your criteria and rating scale.
There are two components involved in rating the projects on your ¡§to do¡¨ list: criteria for assessing
importance, and a rating scale.
The first step is to determine the factors you will use to assess the importance of each project.
Choose factors that will clearly differentiate important from unimportant projects ¡V these are your
criteria. A group of 6–12 criteria is typical. Example criteria might include whether or not the project
is a mandate, the value it brings to the customer, etc.
Then, for each of your criteria, establish a rating scale to use in assessing how well a particular
project satisfies that criteria. To ensure consistent use of the rating scale, provide some details to
define how the criteria should be applied. The following table provides some examples:
Example Criteria Description Rating Scale (1–9)

Public Policy Priorities
To examine the effects of public campaign funding on local policy priorities, I need to create a
dataset containing variables related to mayoral and city council races. While mayoral election and a
strong mayoral system would have the most direct linkage between publicly funded campaigns and
policy direction, since the mayor has a significant authority to direct policy initiatives and budget
priorities. The results of evaluating mayoral races only, however, produce a small number of
observations leading possible biases in the results (Adams, 2007: 189). The inclusion of city council
races increases the number of observations for a better sample. By including city councils, the

This is counter to the very argument to have public campaign financing, not only increase
competition but to engage citizens in the process. This would indicate the system does not promote
citizen engagement or influence on policy agendas. Policy priorities continue to benefit mostly a
segment of the city population who supported the winning candidate (Trounstine, 2008).
Stakeholders, therefore, still have influence over government officials who have the power to deter
election rules and reforms. Yet, it might be also the case, that elites are adept at adapting the
constraints of institutions and alternative ways to influence the current political environment through
other means(Mullin, 2008; Adams,

Evaluating The New Process For Managing Priorities At...
Q1) During the 10 years from 1992 through 2002, VWoA considered IT as a source of overhead and
prioritized more on marketing and selling activities by allocating all the available funds. According
to Matulovic, the major issues at VWoA were not related to IT but rather to the ambiguity that
surrounded governance and development process.
Assessment of the new process for managing priorities at Volkswagen of America?
Significantly, he empowered PMO (program management Office) that focuses on proper planning
prior to execution phase in order to generate on–schedule and on–budget projects. Hence, Matulovic
satisfied that projects are working in a right manner. In order to choose the right projects to fund, the
new process was implemented which is very organized, more structured and select projects based on
the business requirements/scope. Several Organizational entities played a role in creating and
managing a new process for managing priorities at VWoA. The focus of new process have been on
aligning IT projects with Organizational goals i.e., each of the top three projects of business units
should map to one of the major enterprise goals. Since the budget is limited ($60 million capped by
VWAG), the funds are allocated to the projects which are highly prioritized by their business units.
Business architecture played an important role in formalizing governance and prioritization process
as it provided means of categorizing organization activities including IT projects and

I do deem it as necessary for the PMO to control the money that goes allocated into these project.
The demand for approvals will be notoriously high for projects internationally however, in my
opinion the PMO should delegate sub–committees nationally due to the nature of the business. It
would be hard to create an architecture that would align perfectly to the needs and wants of affiliates
around the world.
I do not think IT should have a budget. IT works as a support function in the company, I do not think
IT with their own budget would make great decisions all the time. Just like I think business
departments controlling the IT budget make the right decisions. There must be a middle ground,
with committees and subcommittees of MIS professionals, who truly get a sense of the implications
and severity of these projects. Therefore, I do not think the IT department should have their own
budget, but instead there should be an allocation of the IT budget per each business function.

Time Blocking Method
Utilize the Methodology of Time Blocking
Multitasking has been proven to be ineffective when it comes to efficiency. People think that they
are able to get more done by trying to tackle everything at once, but in reality, you're pulling
yourself in too many directions at once. Eliminate this effect of being pulled like taffy by developing
your own time blocking method. There are a few things that you need to consider when it comes to
creating time blocks for your schedule. As a physician, you probably have already started using time
blocking method as the way to handle patients, but you can put this method to work for you for your
entire schedule.
Determine Your Priorities
The first thing that you need to do is determine what priority level each of your tasks happen to be at
for you. This means that you need to decide what priorities are topping your charts. Then, you're
able to block time out for these particular tasks. You should be able to focus on getting your number
one priority completed without any other distractions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It's time to change the way that you think about scheduling your blocks of time. It can be helpful to
start thinking about the events that happen in your day and what you need to accomplish. Try to
schedule your time around the things that are happening in your day, and what tasks are necessary to
handle in a particular day. This will make it easier to block off your time to help you minimize those
distractions that can occur. For instance, if you know that you'll have an important call or
appointment during the day, you'll want to start either far enough in advance that you won't have to
pause what you're doing to take care of that event, or wait until afterwards to schedule this

Analysis Of Blomberg 's ' The King Of The Mountain...
This week's reading takes a more in depth look at the current synoptic problem. Blomberg lightly
discusses the main hypotheses (Oxford, Griesbach, and Q) by engaging in their strengths and
weaknesses alike. He also discusses the possible synoptic sources, mainly "L", "M", and "Q". He
does briefly relay some more historical figures, early church fathers mostly, and their seemingly
archaic views on synoptic priority compared to the scholastic achievements in more recent eras.
McKnight gives a closer look at the Oxford or "two–source" hypothesis. He strives to show the
Oxford hypothesis as winning the king–of–the–mountain scholastic debate using the various
scholars who have debated the heaviest in favor of the Markan priority, mainly Streeter. Even as
passionately as McKnight stands on this on–going biblical debate, Farmer gives just as obsessive a
plea for Matthean priority as he discusses the Griesbach or "two–gospel" hypothesis. However,
Farmer puts his discussion into terms less eloquently than McKnight does. Farmer very succinctly
plots his discussion into steps as if teaching to a room of theological second–graders. While, as a
scientist myself, I can appreciate the calculative style he uses to win the spot at the top of the
mountain, I feel that this debate is scarcely that simple of an answer.
The synoptic problem itself still challenges me. When this debate was first revealed to me in an
undergraduate course, a most basic biblical overview, I fancied myself on the

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Research Report – CS6705 Prioritized Multi–Criteria Decision
Making and Multi–Criteria Aggregation By Rizwan Umaid Ali Student # 3494784 Multi–Criteria
decision making (MCDM) is an area of Artificial Intelligence which provides capabilities to assess
complex decision problems. The decisions can depend on our preferences of some criteria over
others. In this report, we analyze formulations of MCDM and Multi–Criteria Aggregation. To
further understand this, we also see how we calculate prioritized measure of Multi–Criteria
Aggregation and its Shapley index. Introduction For a modern application, reaching satisfaction can
depend upon several criteria. Each criteria in it can be satisfied to reach an optimal result, but in real
world scenarios satisfying every criteria is impossible and even not required. For example, if a bill
needs to be passed by an executive committee, we will need only half of the committee's approval to
pass it. This leads us to think that we can reach satisfaction with any set of members of the
committee. In fact, there are several cases where certain criteria have a higher priority than others
and satisfaction cannot be reached without them. For instance, if the president of the executive
committee has to approve the bill and other members just have to favour it, then the president will
dominate the other criteria. To logically state this we can say 'Satisfy criterion A and if possible
satisfy criterion B'. We

1.0. Introduction
Alignment of an enterprise's goals with its IT1 and IS1 systems has been a challenge ever since IT
became a business enabler. Proposing an IT alignment requires a thorough understanding of the
business goals of the enterprise and the knowledge that alignment is an iterative process which
requires constant measurement and honing (Chan, 2002). Enterprises often face the problem of
balance of priorities between IT and Business objectives. This report deals with one such case that

strategy.

Introduction
Imagine yourself standing on one of the seven wonders in the world. Surrounded by the symbolic
scenery you wish to seal up the beauty forever, but you're struggling due to a lack of knowledge of
how to function a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera. This user guide will teach you how to
use a DSLR camera from the fundamentals, along with in–depth knowledge of the profession
functions using the three most important pillars in photography; Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO.
Automatic Mode
1.1 What is Automatic Mode
Automatic mode is when the camera self–selects the most appropriate settings for the chosen
situation. It determines for you all of the functions such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white
balance (WB), etc. All that is required for you to do then is point and shoot. [1]
1.2 How to Access and Operate Automatic Mode
1. Turn on your camera
2. Twist the mode dial until the green symbol 'auto' lines up with the white marker and your LCD
screen displays the correct mode. (Figure 1,2)
3. Select a target and press the shutter button to capture.
Programme Mode
2.1 What is Programme Mode
Above we have discussed about the most basic mode–auto mode. Programme mode is one step more
complicated than auto mode. It also self–selects the shutter speed, aperture, WB and etc for a given
situation but the ISO is able to be manually manipulated.

Process for managing Project Priorities
Company develops the process of priorities to stay gather the information of which project would
impact the company and would achieve their goals in the future and maximize business. With that
being said prioritizing projects is the key to be successful in the business, to develop that strategy a
company should allocate it resources in various explicit projects and their implementation.
The process of deciding and which project should be priority based on business requirements and
goals could be a very difficult decision. Since, every project in the company holds importance but
because there is a budget which is funded the departments have to select those project priorities to
maximize their budgets and fulfill business goals
In this case VWOA had two processes one was the old process and the other was the new process.
The old process was the IT projects priorities were made by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
with some discussion and evaluation of project and fund those were available the decisions were
made. This process was not structured neither, they involved any departmental heads to discuss on
the prioritization of projects. On the other hand with the new process that Dr. Use Mathulovic, Chief
information officer (CIO) of VWOA implemented and thought that would improve the way of
prioritizing the IT projects was "to make trade–offs explicit and link the projects and the core

Markan Priority

  • 1. Markan Priority The Gospels narrate the life of Jesus in four seperate, yet similar, accounts by different authors. While there are other theories as to which Gospel came first (the Synoptic Problem), the most widely accepted now is the Markan Priority (Neal, 26). This theory states that Mark came first with Matthew and Luke each using it as their basis (Neal, 26). An interesting fact about Mark is that while it shares 76% of its content with Mathew and Luke, the ending is lacking what the latter two have (Neal, 27). While Mathew and Luke detail Christ's resurrected body appearing to the disciples and issuing the Great Commission in the end, Mark ends his account with Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome finding Jesus's grave empty and a young ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, throughout the book, Mark does not give the disciples much credit at all in terms of being great, smart people (Neal, 34). The value in Mark's ending is that it flows with the rest of the book in that it is raw and personal–feeling. Not only that, but being the original ending closest to the actual events, it seems most reliable. In fact, since we in this class are using the Markan Theory, it seems that source Q must have mentioned the ending the other Gospels have, since they are based off of Mark. Otherwise, what would this ending be based off? While the Gospel according to Mark does not end the way the others do, it should not be dismissed or looked down upon. Being the (most likely) oldest book written allows Mark to have some priority. Also, seemingly being the most raw, "uncut" Gospel allows those who study it to have a basis on why its original ending has value. Though it cannot be known exactly why Mark lacks the ending the other Gospels have, the fact that there may be a source Q for Matthew and Luke could be the answer as to where they received that ... Transformational leadership in nursing is positively related to job satisfaction, decreased burnout, and overall staff well–being, and nurse retention (Weberg, 2010) 2. Transformational leaders who inspire, stimulate intellect, have charisma and provide individual consideration have a positive impact on nurse retention (Huber, 2014) 3. Transformational leadership can inspire nurses to attain higher levels of education, including the BSN. B. Organizational culture change related to nursing retention and increasing the educational level of the RN can be accomplished by using Innovation Theory. 1. Innovation theory involves leadership being creative, abandoning the obsolete, and implementing new processes and ways of thinking (Huber, 2014). 2. Leaders who use Innovation Theory for change are charismatic, self–confident, and ambitious (Huber, 2014). C. Analyze current data on nurse retention and the current BSN percentage of nurses on staff, set goals within the organization, implement leadership strategies to achieve these goals, then measure outcomes in the next four years. 1. • 5. What Are The Challenges Of A Senior Team Leader Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) is one of the United Nations (UN) agencies. WHO is working in 150 countries with the mission to provide a healthier life (WHO 2016). The WHO's working strategy is to work with governments and other local and international partners to achieve their mutual health related goals (WHO 2016). To obtain these goals, strong leadership skills and understanding of the local problems is critical for anyone in a decision making position. Mendenhall et al (2012) deliberated that leaders who lead teams at an international level must have the capability to bring change in the organization by not only creating strong linkages within their teams, but also involve with internal and external stakeholders, including counterparts, other leaders, the people from the various governments and organizations they work with. This requires cross–cultural understanding and the ability to work within and across different sectors. For example, not only health, but also governance and education. This paper examines the challenges (which may be) experienced by an official who is recently appointed as a senior team leader in the WHO in Geneva, during the first thirty days of leaders' engagement. As far as the claims are concerned, this is a second opportunity for amending them before the international preliminary examination starts (the first being by way of Article 19 amendments submitted to the International Bureau after receipt of the international search report). In practice, most applicants filing a demand for international preliminary examination do not make use of the possibility of amending the claims under Article 19, unless publication of the amendments is desired [see Module 8 section 8.2]. Where it is clear from the references cited in the ISR and the written opinion of the ISA that the PCT application requires amendments, applicants typically furnish their amendments to the IPEA together with the demand. 9.3 Written Opinion of the IPEA The written opinion of the ISA is generally used as the first written opinion of the IPEA, particularly if the ISA and the IPEA are the same. You should therefore file any Article 34 amendments and/or any arguments in relation to the written opinion of the ISA together with the demand. Critique Of Pozzoli Case: Inventive Step Test Critique of Pozzoli case (Inventive step test) Introduction A patent is an exclusive right granted for an invention, product or process that provides a new way of doing something, or that offers a new technical solution to a problem. An invention in general must fulfill certain criteria in order to be protected by a patent. For example, the Patents Act, 1970 in S. 2(1) (j) defines invention as a new product or process involving an inventive step and capable of industrial application. In other words, an invention in order to be patentable must show an element of novelty, must show "an inventive step", and must be of practical use. Particularly, the Patents Act, 1970 defines "inventive step" as a feature of an invention that involves technical advance as compared to the existing knowledge or having economic significance or both and that makes the invention not obvious to a person skilled in the art. In other words, patent rights are not available for new advances that are merely obvious extensions or modifications of prior designs. • 16. Volkswagen Of America 's New Process For Managing Priorities Volkswagen of America's new process for managing priorities is much more methodical than how things were done previously. Companies can successfully manage priorities by adhering to the following guidelines: defining the company's value, developing "logical, fact–based prioritization processes", creating frameworks that "resolve resource allocation conflicts... [and] encourage employee collaboration" (Townsend). The new process seemed to follow these guidelines very closely. VWoA identified and ranked business goals and designed a blueprint for the company. The new process called for business units to communicate their projects, which would be laid out against VWoA's blueprint. At this stage, business units could not only see how their projects affected company goals but also how they related to other business unit projects. Business units drew up their own project proposals and ranked them in the order they desired. Projects were then placed in portfolios of enterprise goals and executed in order of portfolio rank. The new process resulted in some business units not seeing any of their projects funded. This resulted in disappointed and distressed unit leads. Complaints regarding the new process asserted that it was "too theoretical" and biased towards IT infrastructure projects. Although there are hypothetical elements in the new process, any process for managing priorities cannot be one hundred percent certain; the process serves only as a guide to reach desired outcomes. ... • 26. Public Transport And How It Can Be Prioritised Through... Abstract This paper addresses the importance of public transport and how it can be prioritised through traffic engineering. Numerous methods for giving public transport priority have been researched and discussed. Examples are provided where those techniques are implemented and their performance is evaluated. Research proves that priority to public transport in urban areas is feasible and can lead to reduced travel times while having a minor impact on the traffic network. 1. Introduction As cities are expanding and traffic congestion is increasing, there is growing demand for more regular and efficient public transport. This is in part to reduce pollution and noise levels (European Commision Dictorate–General for Environment, 2004). European policy–makers and investors have in fact influenced a modal shift towards more public, rather than private transport in recent years (Bund, n.d.). Traffic engineering involves the planning and management of urban road infrastructures and networks (Institute of Transportation Engineers, 1999) for various modes of transport, such as vehicles (private, public and commercial), bicycles and pedestrians. Its purpose is to find solutions to transport infrastructures in order to provide the best transport systems for people and goods in terms of cost, time, safety and environmental impact. There are three key benefits in prioritising public transport in urban environments. The first is that by reducing congestion, commercial transport becomes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Folsom suffers from a retail–based jobs market which keeps our jobless rate low, but floods Folsom with lower wages and hi–attrition rates. Many folks like myself, who grew up Folsom, can't afford to live and work in Folsom. I've experienced this first hand and so will many others. All it takes is Intel to decided to close up shop and Folsom is in trouble. I want to reenergizing and diversify Folsom's economy and bring Folsom to the new age. 2. Evaluation of the entire South of 50 (Sphere of influence) expansion and the water component with it. This project is obviously on it's way now and I want to ensure its implemented ... • 33. Personal Narrative Reflection Paper My second year of university was BUSY! In addition to taking a full course load, I also had jobs on campus and was volunteering. Plus, I had to fit in my workout regime, social time, 'me' time, and best of all, sleep. And I was able to do all of that, while maintaining my all–A transcript. When my friends ask me how I managed to pull that off, most of the time I would tell them the truth, which is "I really don't know". But there was a lot of careful consideration that went into basically my every action so that I could stay on top of all of my responsibilities. There's one key thing that I did that made my success possible: PRIORITIZE. I know, it seems like a lame word that your parents use against you when they think ... Not a bad gig at all. But, this meant that the majority of the times that most would consider free time, I was basically 'on–call'. We were supposed to have our doors open and phones on basically anytime we were in the building in case someone needed us. So, unless I had some school related crises (AKA the millions of times I left papers till the last minute), my time belonged to the first years. When I took the job, I knew that was the commitment I was making. And honestly, I loved the job. I loved it so much that I'm doing it again my third year, but as a full– blown RA this time. There was also only a few times that my top two priorities conflicted together, such as a frosh (first year) wanting to vent to someone, but I had a paper due in an hour. PRIORITY THREE: The next priority for me was my social life. This sort of mixed in with being a member of residence staff, as I was friends with a lot of my frosh, so I was able to kill two birds with one stone. But, making time for my boyfriend, my friends who didn't live on my floor, and my friends who didn't even go to my school was also very important to me. • 35. Volkswagen Of Americ Managing It Priorities Team 11 Volkswagen of AmericaManaging IT Priorities 1. What is your assessment of the new process for managing priorities at Volkswagen of America? Are the criticisms justified? Is it an improvement over the old process? We believe that the new process for managing priorities was well structured and aligned with the business goals but with few exceptions. Let's try to understand why? VWoA laid out their five next round of growth goals (NRG) and built a business architecture with the help of different organizational entities to manage priorities of different projects in order to implement these goals. The ELT was given the primary responsibility along with ITSC, PMO, BPTO and DBC playing important roles while selecting and prioritizing projects. The Digital Business Council was to play the most challenging role here as it would work with different Business Unit managers in order to select and prioritize projects, keeping in mind a way to categorize projects, assess their business impact, aligning project with business goals and making tradeoff decisions. The process played out in three phases initiated by PMO. Thus, this process is well structured and would help DBC to consider different trade–offs while selecting and prioritizing projects. The only exception is that we would recommend to include members of VWG while drafting the goal portfolios of the company so that certain projects that impacted on the global level could also be funded. Therefore FiWi networks having advantages of both users mobility support as well as high bandwidth. But the major problem with this networks is as the number of mobile user's increases, queueing delay is increasing in FiWi's Optical Network Unit (ONU). There are number of methods recently proposed for minimizing this queueing delay for bandwidth allocation. However, this methods are only working on PONs and WLANs and hence not considering the state of ONU. Therefore performance of FiWi networks is poor in terms of throughput and queuing delay. For any kind of FiWi networks improving its performance in terms of throughput is very vital. This can be possible by presenting the efficient queueing delay minimization method for FiWi networks. Target was warned by the federal government along with their Cybersecurity staff, that their system should be updated, and this was never completed. The Target Corporation knew about the latest threats and failed to react, this was due to their treating the threat like any other (Turban & Volonino & Wood, 2015, pg 143–144). 2. Also the system have to handle different level of priorities of interrupts.(Yerraballi,R. 2000) 7.2 Dynamic deadline identification: In some scheduling algorithms such as (EDF)the deadline is converted to priority levels. Once projects are prioritized and those priorities are reviewed and discussed, the department can evaluate the results to determine funding and resource allocation for the higher priority projects. A final step involves assessing how and when (or if) to fund the lower priority projects in the future if/when more resources become available. Creating and using a prioritization matrix involves five simple steps: 1. Determine your criteria and rating scale. There are two components involved in rating the projects on your ¡§to do¡¨ list: criteria for assessing importance, and a rating scale. The first step is to determine the factors you will use to assess the importance of each project. Choose factors that will clearly differentiate important from unimportant projects ¡V these are your criteria. A group of 6–12 criteria is typical. Example criteria might include whether or not the project is a mandate, the value it brings to the customer, etc. Then, for each of your criteria, establish a rating scale to use in assessing how well a particular project satisfies that criteria. To ensure consistent use of the rating scale, provide some details to define how the criteria should be applied. Q1) During the 10 years from 1992 through 2002, VWoA considered IT as a source of overhead and prioritized more on marketing and selling activities by allocating all the available funds. According to Matulovic, the major issues at VWoA were not related to IT but rather to the ambiguity that surrounded governance and development process. Assessment of the new process for managing priorities at Volkswagen of America? Significantly, he empowered PMO (program management Office) that focuses on proper planning prior to execution phase in order to generate on–schedule and on–budget projects. Hence, Matulovic satisfied that projects are working in a right manner. In order to choose the right projects to fund, the new process was implemented which is very organized, more structured and select projects based on the business requirements/scope. Several Organizational entities played a role in creating and managing a new process for managing priorities at VWoA. The focus of new process have been on aligning IT projects with Organizational goals i.e., each of the top three projects of business units should map to one of the major enterprise goals. Blomberg lightly discusses the main hypotheses (Oxford, Griesbach, and Q) by engaging in their strengths and weaknesses alike. He also discusses the possible synoptic sources, mainly "L", "M", and "Q". He does briefly relay some more historical figures, early church fathers mostly, and their seemingly archaic views on synoptic priority compared to the scholastic achievements in more recent eras. McKnight gives a closer look at the Oxford or "two–source" hypothesis. He strives to show the Oxford hypothesis as winning the king–of–the–mountain scholastic debate using the various scholars who have debated the heaviest in favor of the Markan priority, mainly Streeter. Even as passionately as McKnight stands on this on–going biblical debate, Farmer gives just as obsessive a plea for Matthean priority as he discusses the Griesbach or "two–gospel" hypothesis. However, Farmer puts his discussion into terms less eloquently than McKnight does. Farmer very succinctly plots his discussion into steps as if teaching to a room of theological second–graders. While, as a scientist myself, I can appreciate the calculative style he uses to win the spot at the top of the mountain, I feel that this debate is scarcely that simple of an answer. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Research Report – CS6705 Prioritized Multi–Criteria Decision Making and Multi–Criteria Aggregation By Rizwan Umaid Ali Student # 3494784 Multi–Criteria decision making (MCDM) is an area of Artificial Intelligence which provides capabilities to assess complex decision problems. The decisions can depend on our preferences of some criteria over others. In this report, we analyze formulations of MCDM and Multi–Criteria Aggregation. To further understand this, we also see how we calculate prioritized measure of Multi–Criteria Aggregation and its Shapley index. Introduction For a modern application, reaching satisfaction can depend upon several criteria. Each criteria in it can be satisfied to reach an optimal result, but in real world scenarios satisfying every criteria is impossible and even not required. For example, if a bill needs to be passed by an executive committee, we will need only half of the committee's approval to pass it. This leads us to think that we can reach satisfaction with any set of members of the committee. In fact, there are several cases where certain criteria have a higher priority than others and satisfaction cannot be reached without them. For instance, if the president of the executive committee has to approve the bill and other members just have to favour it, then the president will dominate the other criteria. To logically state this we can say 'Satisfy criterion A and if possible satisfy criterion B'. We ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
