2. Learning Preferences
REF=3, Sen=9, Vis=11, and Seq=5
My learning preferences have been ingrained in me for a while now, so
I am not surprised by the results of the survey. I am confident in my
style of learning and embrace it. I felt this semester has really
brought out and showcased my learning style through the different
ways I have tackled assignments in comparison to other students in
the class. I am a strong visual learner, and I felt the Powerpoints
and slides definitely helped me in the class. Years as a Bio major
has molded me into a sensing learner. I feel knowing about your
own learning styles really helps you in all classes or in situations
where you can learn something which is a daily event. With
knowledge of yourself you can play to your strengths and tailor the
experience to optimally absorb information.

3. Learning Pathway
Learning Warrior
In the beginning of the semester, I had just bought a new iPod and iPad. I
wanted to learn these new technologies at a deeper level and incorporate them
into my classes this year. I feel I was quite successful in integrating these
technologies into my classes. Once I learned how to use these mobile devices, it
really streamlined my style of learning and contributed directly with my
performance in the class.

4. Learning Activities
iPod and iPad activities helped me understand how to use the devices as a
learning tool. Through these activities I have discovered so many apps and
programs that helped me understand many complex concepts brought up in
class.

5. Exploration of Technologies for
Learning
With my iPad, I could download lecture slides and follow them in class. This was quite a joy to
use since the large bright iPad screen kept me engaged the whole class. I didn’t get bored or
doze off, that I might have if I didn’t have something as engaging as the iPad in front of me.
With my iPod, I could record lecture audio and replay them over and over after
class to drive home key concepts
The activities featured in the Quest were mobile friendly, as twitter and other
microblogs were available as apps on your phone or tablet. The activities
featured quick hitting bits of information that caught your eye and engaged
you to learn more about it. It also gave you quick updates about different
topics

6. Synthesizing Your Experience
Using the iPads in class through the semester gave me
the most interest as a mobile learning tool. I thought
that microblogs surprised me the most as a learning
tool. I never thought that you could learn so much
from quick tweets. However if they are captivating
enough, people can really explore more from these
tweets. I don’t feel there was any one technology
that can’t be used as a learning tool.

7. What I'll Do Next
A mobile learning strategy I will continue to use in a job or outside of class is
taking notes and review content with the Notesplus app on the iPad. The
iPad is so easy to carry around; you can just take it with you during job
training where you can take notes about the specifics of your new job.
Also taking pictures with it camera can help visual learners like me attach
pictures with words for better understanding. Also you the job require
access to up to minute updates of certain kinds of information, you have
your handy iPad right there to view it.
