Contest of David & Goliath: The Philistine army had gathered for war against Israel. David
volunteered to fight Goliath. As Goliath moved in for the kill, David reached into his bag and slung
one of his stones at Goliath's head. Finding a hole in the armor, the stone sank into the giant's
forehead and he fell face down on the ground. David did the right thing in spite of discouraging
insults and fearful threats. Only God's opinion mattered to David.

In the story "This is What It Means to Say Phoenix Arizona" by Sherman Alexie, the main character
Victor is a full blood Native American, whose father recently passed away in Phoenix, Arizona.
Victor must take the trip to collect his father 's ashes, however due to his current financial situation
he is unable to take his journey. An old friend of Victors, by the name of Thomas builds–the–fire,
offers to help fund Victors trip on the condition that he go with him. It is because of Thomas that
Victor is able to complete his journey. Thomas Builds–the–Fire's character shows uncanny heroism,
faithfulness to his friend, and the courage to overcome obstacles.
Thomas Builds–the–Fire is character that has experiences many tragic outcomes in his life. For
example, he explains that his parents both died when he was young. "My father, he died on Okinawa
in World War II, died fighting for this country, which had tried to kill him for years. My mother, she
died giving birth to me, died while I was still inside her. She pushed me out into the world with her
last breath" (CITE). It is because of this tragedy, that he has the courage to overcome obstacles. For

"The Resurrection of Christ Jesus according to the Apostle Paul"
The example in the Gospels can express many examples of resurrection which delivers a strong
message In the New Testament. The term resurrection by Webster definition explains, "Life,
raising from the dead." The Greek defines it as, "A standing up again, recovery." John 11:25
explain Jesus speaking to Martha concerning her Brother Lazarus's death. He says, "I am the
resurrection, (standing up again), and the life (breath), he who believes in Me shall live even if
he dies." There is much to contemplate when death and life have expression, as to stand up and
breath.
The commencement of this information will be organized in several parts to search and compare
a topics of this essay. Theologians give commentary to this topic as well and explain historical
content to understand. Many have believed Christ had not resurrected but was taken away and
buried. Some believed it to be a rumor to validate that which had been preached among the many

The Matrix Is Not Just A Science Fiction Movie
The Matrix is not just a science fiction movie in fact it has so many layers and themes to it all
relating to the Word of God, the Bible. Neo is the Messiah of the movie, that was prophesized and
prayed for just like in the Bible. The audience can pick up the connection to this throughout the
entire movie by looking closing at the Bible and the passages. Many parts of the movie reflect the
Bible in not only Neo being the "Messiah", but in the usage of numbers like three, or the character
Trinity. The birth of Neo, his death and resurrection, all lead back to the fact that the Matrix is not
just a science fiction movie but a futuristic version of the Bible and in particular the story of the
Messiah. The destruction and dissolution on earth brought sadness to Morpheus so when the Oracle
told him the prophecy of a change and a return Morpheus found hope and prayed and looked for

How Saint Thomas Is the Best Saint
Thomas Didymus is the best saint out of all the saints that have lived on this planet. For one thing,
Thomas was one of Jesus's most loyal disciples. And because he was a disciple of Jesus, he was one
of the few saints to witness the miracles of God's only child and learn from him. Additionally, he
was a missionary in South Asia to dedicate his life to spread the Word of God there. As seen by the
preceding information, I can say that Saint Thomas is the best saint who ever lived.
If Saint Thomas isn't recognized as the greatest saint, he should at least be in the Top 12 List, as
does the rest of Jesus's 11 disciples. But what I think what makes him Number 1 is that he was more
eager to learn from Jesus's teachings than any other of Jesus's disciples. And I also esteem him for
his curiosity and his habit for questioning clarity when Jesus does his teachings and parables. In The
Last Supper, John 14:1–5 Jesus foretells his death and his ascension into heaven along with his
disciples, including Thomas. It reads, "Jesus said to his disciples 'Don't be worried! Have faith in
God and have faith in me. There are many rooms in my Father's house. I wouldn't tell you this,
unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will

In the poem by Dylan Thomas, "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night", Thomas talks about how
when a person gets old they should fight to live as long as they can. This poem is written in the form
of a villanelle, which has five tercets and a quatrain. Thomas writes this poem in a strict form and
does not vary from the villanelle format. The rhyme scheme for the tercets and quatrain is as

uses the poem to create a conflict between gently dying at an old age and the human urge to fight
until the very end. Thomas uses very specific language to build feeling and connection to all that is

The contradiction of light and dark and good and evil add a deeper meaning to the poem because it
creates a metaphor that compares times in our life to the timing of a day. Thomas uses "the sun in
flight" (10) to show the best years or brightest point of one's life. Then, with the addition of a few
lines, he turns back to darkness and the grave. Thomas states, "Grave men near death who see with
blinding sight/ Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay" (13–14). Using the multi–meaning
word "grave" gives a feeling of the end of life or dark times. While the oxymoron, " blinding sight"
gives the reader a two–fold impression. Old age brings blindness, and young people usually have a
passion that "blazes". The wording used by Thomas shows that the poem can be interpreted as dark
or light depending on your perspective and even depending on your age or place in life. Sticking
with the full use of a paradox, Thomas reveals that it is his father that is dying, and he uses his next
poetic devices to lend a sense that swift action must be taken on the part of the dying in order to
delay the death that is imminent. Another device that is used by Thomas is repetition and refrain. In
lines, 3, 9, 15, and 19, he repeats the phrase "Rage, rage against the dying of the night", to convince

There are many different words that can be described throughout this film/book some words are
friendship, persistence, and bravery. Friendship is a very important subject in the Glade. Without the
bonds the people in the glades have there wouldn 't be able to survive. Relying on one another to fill

enters the maze to help them even though he ends up being trapped in the maze as well, risking his
life to help two others. Although none of the boys from the glades have no recollection of what their

In fact there will never was, nor will there ever be, a time that would surpass the horror humanity
faced during the outbreak. We were put through a trial. Some passed and some failed. The worst
traits of humanity were exposed during the outbreak. But at the same time, the best traits shone so
brightly that the darkness of humanity dissipated. It was the survivors that fought to get our lives

of Thomas Builds–the Fire. Many people were already asleep in the house when the fire started, so
no one saw Arnold's mistake, which he kept a secret from the whole reservation. Both Thomas
Builds–the–Fire (Evan Adams) and Victor Joseph (Adam Beach), Arnold's son, were saved from the

famous scene, and this makes sense. Typically, Jesus is in the middle of the painting, while flanked
by the 12 apostles on either side of him. Naturally, then, our eyes will focus on the center of the

1.1.1 MATTHEW THE EVANGELIST
Tradition attributes the authorship of the first Gospel to the Apostle Matthew who sat under the tax

author of the Gospel. While this "Matthew" may have been an original source for the Gospel, the
final form as we now have it seems to be the work of a Gentile Christian who was well versed in the

There are many different misbehaviors that a teacher may encounter from his or her students if an
effective classroom management plan is not put in place at the beginning of a new school term or
year. Canter's assertive discipline is based mainly on fair rules and negative consequences (Ellis,
David W. 1995). The implementation of an effective plan will cut down on off–task behaviors and
will make way for more time to be spent on promotion of a stimulating learning environment. There
are several behavior management plans from which educators can choose; the problem sometimes
comes in choosing one that fits well with the students in the class. Additionally, educators have to
remember that the same behavior management plan may not work from teacher to teacher, and
better yet, the plan which is suitable for their first period class, may not work well with students in
fourth period. After the narrowing down and tailoring process of finding a suitable plan to fit
individual classroom needs, then the key to making sure it is a great classroom management plan is
consistency which begins from the day the plan is implemented until the end of the school term.

moral situations. The characters have caused emotional harm to others or themselves due to their

because they were unsafe in them. Jesus chose twelve disciples to follow Him for two reasons. He
needed someone to continue on the work when He left and also to symbolize the twelve tribes of
Judah. Jesus is part of the Davidic line of kings, so He then exemplifies the King of the Jews. Jesus
proclaiming that He is the King of Jews also resonates the idea that He is the Messiah.
