My personal arts journey towards a creative discovery.

1. The arts are a way in which a person can express their
thoughts and feelings in a creative way….

2. The Arts curriculum includes five key
disciplines that encompass the scope
and sequence that is The Arts
• Visual Arts
• Music
• Media
• Drama
• Dance

3. My first swish of the brush..
Even when I was little I liked to paint

4. It was a way to express how I was
feeling

5. The schooling years….

6. I could use my imagination as I related
to the world around me
In year 3 I created a 3D model of the
Solar System for our Science fair

7. And my passion for painting came to
life
My Grandmother was a strong influence on
My development of skill. She was a artist
And taught me some wonderful techniques.
This was an award I won in year 8 in a school
Art Exhibition

8. I began to try new forms and
techniques
Year 7. Collage / Trash Art piece
that responded to unhealthy eating habits at school
In year 10 I began to experiment with techniques
Pastel Crayon Art, and Oil paints.

10. I began to reflect on what I had
learned and to expand on my ideas of
Art forms
Glass cutting and moulding
techniques

11. Working on using a variety of
techniques to enhance my work

This photograph inspired me to
respond to the world issue
of poverty in my own work

15. Art is part of me…Art is me. It allows
me to say in a picture the feelings I
cannot always put into words
