1. During the research and planning stages of this project, an audience profile (see below) was
made which shows the likes and interests of my target audience creating an audience
profile for my music magazine. This giving a better insight to the types of people that this
music magazine is aimed at.

2. I addressed/attracted my audience by thinking about the colour scheme as this was
particular for particular genres for example rock magazines tended to go with a
red/black/white colour scheme.
I also thought about the genres of music I could make my magazine and which ones had
a mainstream target audience and which genres had a more niche target audience
because the latter then had a more specific style and possibly colour scheme and other
aesthetic aspects.
I also had to think about the photos I took and the props I used in the photos as the
audience can be attracted to certain types of photography, or certain types of ‘artist’ or
‘group’ so these had to be considered as these could be used to attract the audience if
,for example, it were an R&B magazine, the artist was in bright colourful clothing it
would not suit the genre and therefore the audience would be less attracted to the
magazine.
