2. General Description BCA
BCA was founded in 1971 by Mr B. Daskalakis and today is one of the major
private educational institutions in Greece. It is chartered according to Act
9/9-10-1935 as a Laboratory for Liberal Studies.
BCA's long continuous operation and its thousands of graduates established
private education in Greece and introduced a new concept in private post-
secondary education. BCA was the first institution in Greece that offered
studies in Marketing and in Shipping. Until 1980 it operated under the name of
"School of Business Administration".
Today BCA has become the leader in the private higher education in Greece.
Since its early years of operation, BCA has offered programmes and applied
teaching methods similar to those of other well-known Universities, providing
the students many opportunities to continue their studies abroad. Prestigious
European and American Universities recognise BCA as their counterpart in
Greece and offer BCA students special career opportunities. BCA is known for
providing quality education to the students and for being involved in various
research projects; the organisation and the implementation of seminars for
business executives as well as the host of conferences and symposia on behalf
of the Greek and international business community.

BCA Business Studies builds in the educational experience acquired through
the years, and expands it through co operations with renowned Universities in
the U.K., U.S.A., and Russia, as well as through co operations with the local
and international business community.
BCA Business Studies organizes seminars for executives of Greek and
international corporations adjusted to their needs and examining current
topics and problematic, with the assurance of the academic expertise of the
teaching staff. Many of the courses offered are extended into Consultation
Projects.
BCA Business Studies participates in a network of International Programs such
as Archi-Med, the purpose of which is the training and placement of
unemployed graduates at a European level.
Important element for the growth and the empowerment of the BCA
philosophy is the unique campus composed by three beautiful buildings in the
wider area of Athens. All buildings are equipped with the state of the art
technological tools for the use of the academic staff and the students. Each
building provides a pleasant and comfortable environment with large
classrooms, a scientific library, computer labs, access to electronic libraries
