1. Preliminary Evaluation
How didplanninghelpinthe productionstage?
Planninghelpedwhendoingthe productionasitallowedustoknow whatwe were doingcome
shootingthe trailer.Knowingwhatandwheneachshotwas due alongside the linesthatthe actors
were performingwasessentialinbeingefficientandleavingenough time forpost-production.The
scriptwas designedasbeing notsetinstone where itwaswrittenpre-shootingconventionally,so
improvisationwasencouragedforthe actorsto create more humourousandnatural scenes without
the feelingthatthe wordswere justbeingrecitedfromthe script. The shotlistcreated an ideaof the
shotsthat we wantedto convey.OurconventionalscriptcreatedonAdobe Storyandpastedoverto
Google Docs sowe all coulddevelopthe scriptcollaboratively helpedusplanoutthe dialogue, the
actionsand the shottypesthat are alongside them. The creationof astoryboard aidedinrealising
the shotsthat we describedinthe shotlistwithtechnical elementsinacompetentcomposition. And
the creationof a production plancontributedinkeepingusorganisedwhencomingroundtorecord
the sequenceswithinthe trailer.
What was yourindividualcontributiontoplanning,productionandpost-production?
Throughoutthe planning,productionandpost-production stageswe workedefficientlyasa group
each pullingourownweightandcontributingoureffortsintothe projecttocreate an effective
product. Each of us had ourown strengthsthatwe utilisedinthe makingof thisproduct;strengths
that made planninganddevelopingthe trailermucheasierandmore effective. Mycontributionin
post-productioninvolvedme creatingandeditingthe sequences onAdobe Premiere ProCCand
AfterEffectsCCas well asdevelopingthe special effectsshotswithinthe trailer.Mycontributionin
productioninvolvedme directinghowthe shotswill be representedandconnotationsthroughtheir
cinematography.Thiswashelpedbythe shotlistandmoodboardothersinmy groupdeveloped

How have youmade effectiveuse of the technical elements?
Effective use of technical elementsis necessaryforcreatingacompetentproductionthathas
meaning.Throughoutthe AScourse we have beentaughttorecognise andevaluate these elements
indifferingextracts.We have learnedaboutthe specificsof elementssuchascamerawork,sound,
editingandmise-en-scène andindoingthe preliminaryproject we have beentaskedtouse and
portray these elements.Mise-en-scène wasuse where ourtrailerwassetina post-apocalyptic

was slow-motion;thisaswell asintensifyingthe intendedhumourousaspectof the premise, gave
the trailermore weight;suchas inthe last shot.
Cameraworkwasusedinthe productionof the trailer.Whenplanningthe sequences,we hadto
incorporate logicandmeaningintoeachof our shots.Throughcameraworkwe achieveda

trailer. Technical elementswe usedincameraworkincludesthe use of wide-shots,long-shots,mid-
shots, and close-ups.Otherelementswe utilizedwasmovementsuchastiltsandpans. Another
technical element we usedincameraworkinclude the use of varyingfocuses. Some shotsused

Soundwas usedinthe productionof the trailer.Wheninpost-production,we coulduse sound
alongside videotocreate anengagingfilmtrailer.One waywe usedsoundinourtraileristhrough
