Dubai Tram test run set to begin in 10 days
http://www.emirates247.com/news/emirates/dubai
Dubai’s push to fast track infrastructure development will get a major fillip with the start of Dubai Tram
service soon. The Roads and Transport Authority will start test run of the Tram within the next two weeks
time.
RTA said the first zone test-run will start from January 26th, 2014 and it’s not open to passengers. The
second test-run will start from April 16th and third from June 14th. The authority said two Tram stations will
be connecting with Dubai Metro. Jumeirah Lake Towers and Dubai Marina Metro Stations will be linked to
Dubai Tram in the third zone starting June 14th.
The Tram network comprises 17 passenger stations, 11 of which are covered under Phase I and spread
across activity and population density areas along the tramway. The fleet comprises 11 trams in the initial
phase, and 14 trams will be added in Phase II to make a total of 25 operating trams. The tram is expected
to lift about 27,000 riders per day at the start of operations in November 2014, and the ridership is bound to
hit 66,000 riders per day by 2020.
The Roads and Transport Authority had announced arrival of the first Dubai Tram coaches to Jebel Ali port
in the middle of December 2013. The Tram, which was shipped from France, consisted of 7 coaches and
constitutes the first batch of 11 trams in the first phase, with nearly 14 trams to be added in the second
phase to make a total of 25 Trams.
French firm Alstom had conducted technical test run of Tram in late 2013 on the 700-meter test track in its
factory in France. The tests included various speeds, safety systems, electric propulsion of tram coaches,
braking systems, sudden stop in emergency cases, and ground electric feed of the tram track, in addition to
the catenary cables which will be used in the depot, and tram doors operation."
In December 2013, RTA Chairman and Executive Director Mattar Al Tayer said: "At the end of this month,
the RTA will run the technical run of the tram in the depot's rails, and the test run will then be carried out in
distance of about 2 kilometers outside the depot."

Mideast producers face huge oil challenges
- Reuters .com
Middle Eastern oil producers face a mountain of challenges in the next two decades as Russia and South
America strive to replicate the US shale oil boom, while demand in the region's domestic markets rises
sharply.
Oil major BP forecast in its annual energy outlook that energy production in the Middle East will grow by
37 percent by 2015, while its consumption grows by 77 percent. As a result, its oil export capacity will
erode to as little as 65 percent of production volumes from the current 72 percent, putting additional
pressure on government budgets of countries such as Saudi Arabia that depend on oil export revenue.
"The Middle East will surpass the former Soviet Union as the most energy-intensive region in the world ...
The region is expected to become the largest consumer of liquids per capita, surpassing North America," BP
said. "By 2035, the region will consume over three times the liquids per person than the global average," it
added. Meanwhile, the oil company expected Russia and Latin America to join the US in tapping shale oil
over the next two decades. BP forecast the US will become energy self-sufficient by 2035, a more concrete
forecast than previously, as the shale boom allows it to surpass a previous 1970 peak in oil output and as gas
supply rises.
"The second-biggest coming in over time is Russia and then South America, and in South America
Colombia and Argentina," BP's chief economist, Christof Ruhl, said at a news briefing, referring to sources
of shale oil growth outside the US. BP's prediction that countries other than the US will partly re-create its
shale oil boom contrasts with other long-term energy forecasts. The Organization of the Petroleum
Exporting Countries (Opec), for example, assumes shale production will have no impact outside North
America.

WORLD DEMAND
World oil demand will rise to 109 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2035, up 19 million bpd and led by
China, India and the Middle East. Even so, oil will be the slowest-growing fuel over the period.
BP expects Russia and South America to contribute about 1 million bpd of shale oil each by 2035 and that
oil from tight rock formations will account for 7 percent of global supplies in 2035, Ruhl told reporters.
Still, the entry of other producers will not prevent a slowdown in the rate of supply growth.
"What we have is very rapid growth right now, and decelerating over time," Ruhl said.
US oil imports peaked in 2005 at over 12 million bpd and 60 percent of demand, and they will decline to
less than 1 million bpd, less than 10 percent of US demand, during the forecast period, he said. This is the
fourth year that BP, a publisher of benchmark energy statistics for over 60 years, has issued its long-term
energy outlook. This year's report looks to 2035, five years longer than previously.
This survey was the first time that BP predicted exactly when the United States would be energy self-
sufficient. Last year's report said it would "nearly" happen by 2030. - Reuters

China's 2014 oil demand, imports to grow faster-CNPC research
(Reuters) –
China's implied oil demand will grow quicker this year at around 4 percent as new refineries start up,
the country's top oil firm forecast, after slowing economic growth likely led to its weakest rise in
five years in 2013.
China, the world's second-largest oil user and a key factor in global prices , has driven oil demand growth
for most of the past decade and its slowing consumption has helped rein in prices despite a plunge in exports
from OPEC member Iran due to sanctions and prolonged outages in Libya.
The forecast by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) saw the nation's oil demand rising to 10.36
million barrels per day (bpd), which would translate into an incremental demand of nearly 400,000 bpd in
2014. The forecast, in an annual report released by CNPC's research institute on Wednesday, also saw the
country's net crude imports growth accelerating 7.1 percent to 298 million tonnes, or 5.96 million bpd this
year.
CNPC's demand forecast is more bullish than the International Energy Agency's (IEA), which in December
predicted Chinese oil demand growing 382,000 bpd this year, or 3.7 percent from 2013. It wasn't
immediately clear how CNPC tallies the oil consumption figures. The forecast growth in net crude imports
would translate into an incremental imports of 370,000 bpd versus the 2013 level reported by Chinese
customs.

That means China's dependence on foreign crude would rise to 58 percent this year, based on CNPC's
forecast on refinery throughput at 509 million tonnes (10.2 million bpd). "Domestic refining capacity will
grow rapidly, driving crude oil demand...while domestic crude oil production would only rise 2.2 percent,"
the report said.
Reuters calculates implied oil demand by adding refinery throughput with net imports of refined fuel, but
excludes changes in inventory. China rarely publishes oil inventory data, making it hard to gauge real
demand.
REFINERY DELAYS
Decades of breakneck economic growth pushed China ahead of the United States as the world's top net oil
importer in September, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has said, a position China is set
to keep through 2014.
Refinery throughput is likely to climb 5.1 percent from last year, CNPC said. China is due to release its
official 2013 national refinery output data next week. Two greenfield refineries, each owned by PetroChina
and Sinochem Corp with combined capacity of 440,000 bpd, are slated to open in the first quarter, following
repeated delays, providing most of the additional demand for crude imports this year.
CNPC also pointed out that China did not add any new capacity to the strategic petroleum reserves (SPR)
over 2013 with total SPR space remaining at 141 million barrels, another factor behind a slower growth in
crude imports last year. Implied natural gas consumption will grow 11 percent from a year earlier to 186
billion cubic metres this year, the CNPC institute said, with imports to expand 18.9 percent to 63 bcm.
China, the world's top energy guzzler, is boosting use of the cleaner fuel faster than oil, both by quickening
domestic exploration and raising imports. For the first 11 months of 2013, China's implied oil demand rose
2.3 percent to 9.76 million barrels per day, down from 4.5 percent growth last year and the lowest growth
rate since at least 2009, based on Reuters calculations from government data. December data is expected on
Jan. 20. (tonne=7.3 barrels for crude conversion)

Kashagan oil group awaits test results in Feb to give restart date
(Reuters) –
A consortium developing Kazakhstan's giant Kashagan oilfield, which was shut down in October due to
pipeline leaks, said it expects by next month to have the results of steel tests and inspections needed to
establish a date for output to resume.
Kashagan, the world's biggest oil find in decades and the most expensive standalone oil project, took an
estimated $50 billion and 13 years to start output last September. It was shut down the following month,
however, due to pipeline leaks that investigators said were caused by stress linked to the presence of
hydrogen sulphide gas.
The results of the tests on the steel samples carried out at TWI laboratory in Britain and other specialised
laboratories are expected in late January or early February, the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC)
said in a statement on Wednesday. It had said earlier that the specifications of the pipes used at Kashagan
fully meet the requirements of the NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) standards and best
practices in international oil and gas field development.
NCOC said it was now inspecting the oil pipeline, running from D Island in the Caspian Sea to the Bolashak
oil processing plant, using an intelligent PIG (Pipeline Inspection Gauge) device. It had earlier completed

inspection of a pipeline carrying gas produced from the oilfield. "The findings (of the oil pipeline
inspection) are expected in one month's time," it said.
During a PIG inspection on Jan. 11, a problem was detected in the onshore part of the oil pipeline near the
plant, NCOC said. "The respective section of the pipeline was isolated and excavated, confirming the
presence of a seep in the area of a weld." "The date of the restart of production depends on the required
repairs, which can only be assessed once the results of the crack analysis (TWI) and the results of the PIG
inspections are available," NCOC said.
International oil majors Exxon, Royal Dutch Shell , Total, Eni and Kazakh state oil company KazMunaiGas
each hold a 16.81 percent stake in Kashagan. Japan's Inpex has 7.56 percent, and China National Petroleum
Corp (CNPC) acquired 8.33 percent in 2013 as ConocoPhillips exited.
The Kashagan project aims to produce up to 1.66 million barrels a day - as much oil and OPEC member
Angola - from a reserve almost as big as Brazil's, regardless of harsh weather and technological complexity.
Much of its infrastructure is built on artificial islands to avoid damage from pack ice in a shallow sea, whcih
freezes five months a year in temperatures that drop below minus 30 degrees Celsius (-22 F).

Half of Britons against shale gas drilling in vicinity – poll
(Reuters) –
Nearly half of Britons polled in a study said they would be unhappy to have shale gas fracking carried out
within 10 miles of their home.
The government is actively supporting the development of shale gas, an uncoventional fossil fuel extracted
by blasting chemicals, sand and water into rock formations, a method also known as fracking. The
government is counting on shale gas production to help it reduce import dependency, but the technology has
seen fierce opposition from green activists and local residents who claim it damages the environment.
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) poll showed just 14 percent of 2,000 Britons asked were
happy to have shale gas exploration close to their homes and that 47 percent were not happy. As many as 30
percent said they had no understanding of what fracking was.
"Building trust between government, industry and communities is essential if we wish to make use of this
technique in shale rocks under the UK," said Tim Fox, head of energy and environment at the institution.
The government has announced community incentives to boost shale gas support, such as a 100,000-pound
compensation package and a community fund made up of a percentage of the revenue from drilled wells

General Electric opens ‘ecomagination centre’ in Masdar City
Triska Hamid , www.thenational.ae
GE yesterday opened an “ecomagination centre” in Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City as part of a
cooperation agreement with Mubadala Development Company and the Government of Abu Dhabi.
GE’s ecomagination initiative was originally launched in 2005 to measure clean energy growth,
research and development (R&D) investment and reduce GE’s own carbon footprint. Its portfolio
of products and solutions under the brand has generated $130 billion for the company so far.
The 840 square-metre space in Masdar City’s Incubator Building, showcases GE’s advanced
technologies from cleaner solutions for power grids to upmarket appliances. The centre will focus
on advancing energy and water efficiency while acting as a technology platform to increase
customer productivity and drive cleaner energy solutions.
About 60 per cent of the world’s population is estimated to live in cities by 2030, increasing the
need for sustainable energy to reduce dependence on natural resources.
“Ecomagination is GE’s commitment to innovation that helps create a world that is faster, cleaner,
and better,” said Deb Frodl, the global executive director of ecomagination. “[The centre will] start
the development of next generation technologies, solving some of the tough challenges and
elevate the dialogue around water and energy efficiency. We envisage significant opportunities to
drive the deployment of new technologies from the centre.”
Masdar City was chosen to house the centre as it was one of the most sustainable cities in the
world, that is carbon-free and self-sufficient said Ms Frodl. “We have over the past couple of years
identified areas of common interest that have real, clear relevance to the region,” said Sultan Al
Jaber, the chief executive of Masdar. “Areas where GE has unique abilities, capitalising on
strengths of Masdar and enhance R&D to a state where technology can be created, scale it up
and commercialise it.”
Most of the projects at the ecomagination centre will focus on water and energy sustainability to
help local companies like Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline to reduce their carbon footprint.
“We see an economic and business opportunity to benefit from this,” said Mr Al Jaber.

Masdar City’s Incubator Building is the city’s first commercial property and is set to house more
than 60 companies by the end of this year to work towards sustainability. GE is one of the limited
partners in Masdar’s second CleanTech fund which has a total value of $290m. GE’s investment
into that fund was $25m.
The unveiling of the centre came a week before Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which starts on
Saturday and is expected to attract more than 30,000 people. “With the World Future Energy
Summit [WFES] as its cornerstone, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will set a new benchmark both
for attendee numbers and new initiatives launched, “ said Najj El Haddad, the show director of
WFES.
“[It] will open doors to the substantial commercial opportunities of sustainable development and
renewable energy, as well as debate the necessary progress in policy and technology to achieve
a sustainable future.”
Masdar City in Abu Dhabi will be the first to showcase the results.

The Roads and Transport Authority will start test run of the Tram within the next two weeks time. RTA said the first zone test-run will start from January 26th, 2014 and it’s not open to passengers. The second test-run will start from April 16th and third from June 14th. The authority said two Tram stations will be connecting with Dubai Metro. Jumeirah Lake Towers and Dubai Marina Metro Stations will be linked to Dubai Tram in the third zone starting June 14th. The Tram network comprises 17 passenger stations, 11 of which are covered under Phase I and spread across activity and population density areas along the tramway. The fleet comprises 11 trams in the initial phase, and 14 trams will be added in Phase II to make a total of 25 operating trams. The tram is expected to lift about 27,000 riders per day at the start of operations in November 2014, and the ridership is bound to hit 66,000 riders per day by 2020. The Roads and Transport Authority had announced arrival of the first Dubai Tram coaches to Jebel Ali port in the middle of December 2013. The Tram, which was shipped from France, consisted of 7 coaches and constitutes the first batch of 11 trams in the first phase, with nearly 14 trams to be added in the second phase to make a total of 25 Trams. French firm Alstom had conducted technical test run of Tram in late 2013 on the 700-meter test track in its factory in France. The tests included various speeds, safety systems, electric propulsion of tram coaches, braking systems, sudden stop in emergency cases, and ground electric feed of the tram track, in addition to the catenary cables which will be used in the depot, and tram doors operation." In December 2013, RTA Chairman and Executive Director Mattar Al Tayer said: "At the end of this month, the RTA will run the technical run of the tram in the depot's rails, and the test run will then be carried out in distance of about 2 kilometers outside the depot."

Page 2 Mideast producers face huge oil challenges - Reuters .com Middle Eastern oil producers face a mountain of challenges in the next two decades as Russia and South America strive to replicate the US shale oil boom, while demand in the region's domestic markets rises sharply. Oil major BP forecast in its annual energy outlook that energy production in the Middle East will grow by 37 percent by 2015, while its consumption grows by 77 percent. As a result, its oil export capacity will erode to as little as 65 percent of production volumes from the current 72 percent, putting additional pressure on government budgets of countries such as Saudi Arabia that depend on oil export revenue. "The Middle East will surpass the former Soviet Union as the most energy-intensive region in the world ... The region is expected to become the largest consumer of liquids per capita, surpassing North America," BP said. "By 2035, the region will consume over three times the liquids per person than the global average," it added. Meanwhile, the oil company expected Russia and Latin America to join the US in tapping shale oil over the next two decades. BP forecast the US will become energy self-sufficient by 2035, a more concrete forecast than previously, as the shale boom allows it to surpass a previous 1970 peak in oil output and as gas supply rises. "The second-biggest coming in over time is Russia and then South America, and in South America Colombia and Argentina," BP's chief economist, Christof Ruhl, said at a news briefing, referring to sources of shale oil growth outside the US. BP's prediction that countries other than the US will partly re-create its shale oil boom contrasts with other long-term energy forecasts. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec), for example, assumes shale production will have no impact outside North America.

Page 3 WORLD DEMAND World oil demand will rise to 109 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2035, up 19 million bpd and led by China, India and the Middle East. Even so, oil will be the slowest-growing fuel over the period. BP expects Russia and South America to contribute about 1 million bpd of shale oil each by 2035 and that oil from tight rock formations will account for 7 percent of global supplies in 2035, Ruhl told reporters. Still, the entry of other producers will not prevent a slowdown in the rate of supply growth. "What we have is very rapid growth right now, and decelerating over time," Ruhl said. US oil imports peaked in 2005 at over 12 million bpd and 60 percent of demand, and they will decline to less than 1 million bpd, less than 10 percent of US demand, during the forecast period, he said. This is the fourth year that BP, a publisher of benchmark energy statistics for over 60 years, has issued its long-term energy outlook. This year's report looks to 2035, five years longer than previously. This survey was the first time that BP predicted exactly when the United States would be energy self- sufficient. Last year's report said it would "nearly" happen by 2030. - Reuters

Page 4 China's 2014 oil demand, imports to grow faster-CNPC research (Reuters) – China's implied oil demand will grow quicker this year at around 4 percent as new refineries start up, the country's top oil firm forecast, after slowing economic growth likely led to its weakest rise in five years in 2013. China, the world's second-largest oil user and a key factor in global prices , has driven oil demand growth for most of the past decade and its slowing consumption has helped rein in prices despite a plunge in exports from OPEC member Iran due to sanctions and prolonged outages in Libya. The forecast by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) saw the nation's oil demand rising to 10.36 million barrels per day (bpd), which would translate into an incremental demand of nearly 400,000 bpd in 2014. The forecast, in an annual report released by CNPC's research institute on Wednesday, also saw the country's net crude imports growth accelerating 7.1 percent to 298 million tonnes, or 5.96 million bpd this year. CNPC's demand forecast is more bullish than the International Energy Agency's (IEA), which in December predicted Chinese oil demand growing 382,000 bpd this year, or 3.7 percent from 2013. It wasn't immediately clear how CNPC tallies the oil consumption figures. The forecast growth in net crude imports would translate into an incremental imports of 370,000 bpd versus the 2013 level reported by Chinese customs.

Page 5 That means China's dependence on foreign crude would rise to 58 percent this year, based on CNPC's forecast on refinery throughput at 509 million tonnes (10.2 million bpd). "Domestic refining capacity will grow rapidly, driving crude oil demand...while domestic crude oil production would only rise 2.2 percent," the report said. Reuters calculates implied oil demand by adding refinery throughput with net imports of refined fuel, but excludes changes in inventory. China rarely publishes oil inventory data, making it hard to gauge real demand. REFINERY DELAYS Decades of breakneck economic growth pushed China ahead of the United States as the world's top net oil importer in September, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has said, a position China is set to keep through 2014. Refinery throughput is likely to climb 5.1 percent from last year, CNPC said. China is due to release its official 2013 national refinery output data next week. Two greenfield refineries, each owned by PetroChina and Sinochem Corp with combined capacity of 440,000 bpd, are slated to open in the first quarter, following repeated delays, providing most of the additional demand for crude imports this year. CNPC also pointed out that China did not add any new capacity to the strategic petroleum reserves (SPR) over 2013 with total SPR space remaining at 141 million barrels, another factor behind a slower growth in crude imports last year. Implied natural gas consumption will grow 11 percent from a year earlier to 186 billion cubic metres this year, the CNPC institute said, with imports to expand 18.9 percent to 63 bcm. China, the world's top energy guzzler, is boosting use of the cleaner fuel faster than oil, both by quickening domestic exploration and raising imports. For the first 11 months of 2013, China's implied oil demand rose 2.3 percent to 9.76 million barrels per day, down from 4.5 percent growth last year and the lowest growth rate since at least 2009, based on Reuters calculations from government data. December data is expected on Jan. 20. (tonne=7.3 barrels for crude conversion)

Page 6 Kashagan oil group awaits test results in Feb to give restart date (Reuters) – A consortium developing Kazakhstan's giant Kashagan oilfield, which was shut down in October due to pipeline leaks, said it expects by next month to have the results of steel tests and inspections needed to establish a date for output to resume. Kashagan, the world's biggest oil find in decades and the most expensive standalone oil project, took an estimated $50 billion and 13 years to start output last September. It was shut down the following month, however, due to pipeline leaks that investigators said were caused by stress linked to the presence of hydrogen sulphide gas. The results of the tests on the steel samples carried out at TWI laboratory in Britain and other specialised laboratories are expected in late January or early February, the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) said in a statement on Wednesday. It had said earlier that the specifications of the pipes used at Kashagan fully meet the requirements of the NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) standards and best practices in international oil and gas field development. NCOC said it was now inspecting the oil pipeline, running from D Island in the Caspian Sea to the Bolashak oil processing plant, using an intelligent PIG (Pipeline Inspection Gauge) device. It had earlier completed

Page 7 inspection of a pipeline carrying gas produced from the oilfield. "The findings (of the oil pipeline inspection) are expected in one month's time," it said. During a PIG inspection on Jan. 11, a problem was detected in the onshore part of the oil pipeline near the plant, NCOC said. "The respective section of the pipeline was isolated and excavated, confirming the presence of a seep in the area of a weld." "The date of the restart of production depends on the required repairs, which can only be assessed once the results of the crack analysis (TWI) and the results of the PIG inspections are available," NCOC said. International oil majors Exxon, Royal Dutch Shell , Total, Eni and Kazakh state oil company KazMunaiGas each hold a 16.81 percent stake in Kashagan. Japan's Inpex has 7.56 percent, and China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) acquired 8.33 percent in 2013 as ConocoPhillips exited. The Kashagan project aims to produce up to 1.66 million barrels a day - as much oil and OPEC member Angola - from a reserve almost as big as Brazil's, regardless of harsh weather and technological complexity. Much of its infrastructure is built on artificial islands to avoid damage from pack ice in a shallow sea, whcih freezes five months a year in temperatures that drop below minus 30 degrees Celsius (-22 F).

Page 8 Half of Britons against shale gas drilling in vicinity – poll (Reuters) – Nearly half of Britons polled in a study said they would be unhappy to have shale gas fracking carried out within 10 miles of their home. The government is actively supporting the development of shale gas, an uncoventional fossil fuel extracted by blasting chemicals, sand and water into rock formations, a method also known as fracking. The government is counting on shale gas production to help it reduce import dependency, but the technology has seen fierce opposition from green activists and local residents who claim it damages the environment. The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) poll showed just 14 percent of 2,000 Britons asked were happy to have shale gas exploration close to their homes and that 47 percent were not happy. As many as 30 percent said they had no understanding of what fracking was. "Building trust between government, industry and communities is essential if we wish to make use of this technique in shale rocks under the UK," said Tim Fox, head of energy and environment at the institution. The government has announced community incentives to boost shale gas support, such as a 100,000-pound compensation package and a community fund made up of a percentage of the revenue from drilled wells

Page 9 General Electric opens ‘ecomagination centre’ in Masdar City Triska Hamid , www.thenational.ae GE yesterday opened an “ecomagination centre” in Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City as part of a cooperation agreement with Mubadala Development Company and the Government of Abu Dhabi. GE’s ecomagination initiative was originally launched in 2005 to measure clean energy growth, research and development (R&D) investment and reduce GE’s own carbon footprint. Its portfolio of products and solutions under the brand has generated $130 billion for the company so far. The 840 square-metre space in Masdar City’s Incubator Building, showcases GE’s advanced technologies from cleaner solutions for power grids to upmarket appliances. The centre will focus on advancing energy and water efficiency while acting as a technology platform to increase customer productivity and drive cleaner energy solutions. About 60 per cent of the world’s population is estimated to live in cities by 2030, increasing the need for sustainable energy to reduce dependence on natural resources. “Ecomagination is GE’s commitment to innovation that helps create a world that is faster, cleaner, and better,” said Deb Frodl, the global executive director of ecomagination. “[The centre will] start the development of next generation technologies, solving some of the tough challenges and elevate the dialogue around water and energy efficiency. We envisage significant opportunities to drive the deployment of new technologies from the centre.” Masdar City was chosen to house the centre as it was one of the most sustainable cities in the world, that is carbon-free and self-sufficient said Ms Frodl. “We have over the past couple of years identified areas of common interest that have real, clear relevance to the region,” said Sultan Al Jaber, the chief executive of Masdar. “Areas where GE has unique abilities, capitalising on strengths of Masdar and enhance R&D to a state where technology can be created, scale it up and commercialise it.” Most of the projects at the ecomagination centre will focus on water and energy sustainability to help local companies like Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline to reduce their carbon footprint. “We see an economic and business opportunity to benefit from this,” said Mr Al Jaber.
