2. What is unpacking a Seed? Unpacking a seed is essentially using a prompt such as an image or an object and then getting your students to dig deeply into the concepts related to that prompt. 3. How to use this You need to grab the teacher instructions word document below and work through the images with it that are also included in this slideshow. Get your students to record the following in their writing books or on a board if you are doing this as a group. What do I see? What do I feel? What do I wonder? Go through the ‘Big Questions and the I wish” with them as a whole group and encourage discussion. Finally your students will select a piece of writing as the Action phase of the task.
