2. Twitter
I will use this social media platform by creating my own profile for the
magazine in which there could be daily tweets stating features of
what will be in the next issue of the magazine, this should interest
the audience and cause them to buy more issues.
Twitter could be used to make the audience feel more involved in the
product as they can use the ‘hash tag a trend’ system, meaning that
they could write a tweet and include the # of the magazine name at
the end of the tweet.
Also, users can tweet us on our account and we could
retweet/favourite/reply to their tweets to make them feel more
involved within our brand. Furthermore they could send in
suggestions of what they would like to see in the magazine in
upcoming issues – if these ideas are then used they would feel
more involved in the process of creating the magazine and feel like
they are connected to it, thus increasing consumption of the
magazine.
3. YouTube channels
A YouTube channel can be created for our magazine in which
the audience can see a ‘behind the scenes’ process of the
magazine, for example, interviews of celebrities featured in
our magazine, photo shoots and how stories come
together. The audience can leave suggestions in the
‘comment’ section of the video, this will then enable us as a
business to create question and answer videos answering
our audiences questions in order to give them more
background knowledge on who we are and what our
branding is. This would cause the audience to feel more
included in our magazine as they know more about it – this
would also cause the audience to carry on buying our
magazine as they are familiar with it.
4. Instagram
Instagram could be used as members of the business
could upload images that relate to the magazine ethos.
For example, if we attend any RnB concert, we could
upload a photo to Instagram of the concert, for our
followers and audience to see, this is the same for a
fashion show, celebrity meeting and gigs. This gives our
audience a real insight into what our magazine brand is
all about as they can easily see a series of pictures that
sums up the sort of content that would appear in our
magazines. This will also cause the audience to feel
involved as they can like and comment on these
pictures.
5. Facebook groups
The magazine could have its own Facebook page in
which Facebook users can ‘like’ the page and
view posts, images and videos uploaded. This can
be used as a sort of portfolio for our magazine as
every social medium can be /embedded onto this
Facebook page (this includes YouTube videos,
Instagram pictures and tweets)
This would be very useful for our business as
everything can be accessed by our audience in
one place.
