This document discusses the history of anti-colonialism and development of the global south. It notes that anti-colonialism arose from colonial governments, with resistance against Spanish colonialism in the 19th century benefiting from increased interaction among political dissidents. Socialist internationalism and communist groups advocated for colonized peoples but progress was slow. The concept of the "Third World" and non-alignment emerged from the Bandung Conference in 1955 as newly independent countries resisted new forms of imperialism during the Cold War.
3. This is the order of events from the global south wherein from
being in colonialistic government, anti-colonialism arises as it
continue to vary.
4. Benedict anderson (2007) awakens the idea of the benefits of
resisting spanish colonialism during 19th century. Anarchy
arises.
5. Socialist internationalism(social democrats) will arise as a ti-
colonialism continues but it has been a slow process because
of the colonized people. This ushered in european politics
during early 20th century.
6. Lenin founded Communist international (comintern) -1919
developing capitalism through Imperialism. This idea made
the scholars to discuss about the 3rd world countries (20th
century).

8. • From the beginning of anti-colonialism, the notion of
solidarity is already present that would serve as the
foundation for contemporary conceptions of the south.
• It has been shown by Benedict Anderson that the
resistance against Spanish colonialism benefitted from the
increased interaction of political dissidents amidst an early
phase of globalization in the late 19th century.
• The union of socialist parties or social democrats did not
prioritize the struggle of colonized peoples in its policies
and it would take more radical and militant
reinterpretation to be recognized.
• The 'three worlds' interpretation of global politics
emerged as more countries decolonized but this was when
the cold war loomed over the post-war reconfiguration of
world politics.
• The Third World consist of non-aligned countries which
was founded by the Asia-African Conference also known
as Bandung Conference in 1955.
9.
10. Third Worldism began as a resistance to new forms of
colonialism. Non-alignment became a generalized
condemnation of the aggression of powerful states directed at
weaker ones. The 1968 student protests in France drew
inspiration from anarchist traditions and Mao Tse-Tung's
peasant communism. In this regard, radical visions from the
Third World became integral to the global language of protest.

12. Global south includes the word "global", therefore if the
global south is struggling in developing their country, it
has an effect even on the other part of the globe just like
what happened to Greece. We can say, the development
of the country is hugely affected by the type of
governance it had. Also if the governance is not ideal to
the type of people living in a specific country just like on
global south that once widespread by colonialism, the
economic development of a country will be the major
affected area.
